How long to set-aside for reserved dining - TouringPlans

I'm planning out my days using touringplans, and I'm trying to figure how much time to allow for our reserved dining times.

Those of you who have been to many of these restaurants with reservations, would you say you get seated fairly close to your reservation time? How long do most meals take?

I've been figuring 45-60 minutes for them, but wondering how long is realistic.

Thanks!

I was interested in this question to when I first started making my plans. Someone on this board suggested 45 mins for counter service places and 75 for table service, which is what I've been using in my estimates. I'm interested to hear what other people's experiences are on this. I'm guessing that how busy the park is and what times you are eating play a role.

Depends on the restaurant, but 60 minutes would be a minimum for TS restaurants. We generally set aside 90 minutes for TS restaurants. Somewhere like 'Ohana could take more, as it generally takes a bit longer after your actual reservation time to be seated.

Once seated, most TS meals take us about 60 - 75 minutes depending on the number of courses and adding wait time for the table we allow about 90 minutes. For character meals we figure at least 90 minutes at the table plus wait time. Signature meals are a minimum of 90 - 120 minutes and sometimes even longer after being seated.

I agree it depends on the restaurant.

BOG QS might be 45 minutes. Everything else I would at least 60 minutes. Character meals and signatures I would plan longer, 90 minutes minimum.

I always use 60 min. You have to take into account you have another hour after the window start time to use the fast pass. So you really have 2 full hours from your ADR start time. We've been seated late, seated early, and I have never had trouble making a fast pass. More often than not I'm killing time waiting for the FP+ window to arrive.

A lot depends on you. Are you having apps? Cocktails? Dessert?
For signature dining no 90-120 min
Regular ts 60-90
Qs 30 min

For ts if you are in a hurry, tell your server. Ask for your check w entrees or dessert.

I would definitely suggest 90 minutes for character meals. We were seated on time at several...but had to wait anywhere from 10-15 minutes to be seated at others. Even if you finish eating, you will want to wait for all the characters to come around.

I'd say 90 minutes. But, it depends on your party size, whether ordering appetizers, and ordering desserts. It also depends if you get seated immediately.( and the other people are done before you at that table or just hanging out)
