Possible March trip -- weather and clothing?

Hi!
It looks like I'm going to be heading to WDW earlier than May now! As soon as March, but I'm still waiting to hear back from someone it depends on.

If we go March/April, how is the weather typically and what kinds of clothes are comfortable? I'm most comfortable usually in cotton pajama type pants. Mostly I have black and one gold/yellow pair. Would these with a t-shirt be comfortable? I won't be walking, just sitting in my wheelchair. How is the rain? Last June it rained every day of our second week there!

Thanks!
Beth

Black pants can be problematic - the sun is stronger in Florida, and on my last March/April trip, I made the mistake of taking mostly black or dark colored leggings.

I had to go back to the Resort and grab a towel to cover my legs (which were then just hot from being covered, not burning from the sun) We went shopping for pants before the trip was over!

Not only is the temperature warmer than northern climates, but the sun is hotter - even in March/April - and I was BAKING in my black leggings, especially during the heat of the day. I personally have to wear long sleeves because I have a sun allergy, but a nice regular weight t-shirt should be fine for day wear.

You will want to wear lighter colored, breathable pants. Remember that your thighs will bear the brunt of your sun exposure; that's why lighter colors help.

Then, carry a lightweight blanket, jacket or pashmina for the evenings, because when the sun goes down, the temperature can, and does, drop quickly. I like a nice zippered sweat-shirt type jacket with a hood and pockets to keep my hands warm.

We typically don't have a lot of trouble with rain on our March/April trips - we tend to see more rain during hurricane season in the fall. Having said that, it *can* rain, but just keep a poncho on board your chair to cover yourself; you can always seek shelter until the rain passes. If you do get stuck with a rainy day, you might consider purchasing an extra Disney poncho to cover your chair more completely. Mostly you want to protect the electronic controls.

Thank you, Mamabunny! That's very helpful! I am very self conscious since gaining quite a lot of weight recently from my chronic illnesses. My go to is black drapey pants...but somehow I'll find something else! I do know that sun is very hot!
I'm all set with a wheelchair poncho in case it rains too. Thanks!

March is one of the best times to visit weather wise. It is the month with the least amount of rain. It is cool in the early morning and cool at night. The weather gets really warm from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. As for packing, I suggest light colored clothes for daytime as the sun can get very hot. i would also suggest bringing layers as it can really get cool in the evenings. You will need pants and sweatshirt at night and even a windbreaker. Hope that helps.
