We were there last September and the seasonal, 2 Park AP was less than a five day, 2 Park, Park to park ticket (I think maybe it was about the same as a four day ticket).
Three days may be a bit cheaper if you are absolutely sure you will not be back.
The blackout dates for seasonal passholders this year can be found on the website. Mostly Christmas, Easter, and the whole month of July. You also can’t go to US on a concert date, but I think those are usually only on Saturdays and you can still go to IOA on those dates.
I was not sure if we would be back, but since we were staying seven nights in September, it made sense for us.
Looks like we will return in May, and the passholder hotel rates were quite a bit better than the regular rates. I was surprised. I’m used to saving $3-10 a night with the Disney passholder rates
rolleyes
, but the Universal passholder rate was something around $60-80 less per night than the non-passholder rate. They can be really good, but you have to book quickly after rates are released. When I booked, only PBR still had discounts on any rooms other than suites.
If I remember correctly, when I booked, the website rate for four nights was $349 for a bay view queen room at PBR and I got a seasonal passholder rate of $264 a night. Their rates do change a lot. Today, there was no passholder rate available for my dates and the Bay View queen was $399.
