*PTR*... PBH CL June-July 2018 Yay!!!!!

Hi thanks we love CBBR. We stayed there for 3 nights in 2015 and had a blast. My family all agreed it was the funnest resort we have stayed at. When we went back last summer because everyone wanted to stay there again. I had to figure a way to utilize some EP for a couple of days. CBBR is a family resort without a doubt. It is very loud and busy but so much fun. I can spend hours in their lazy river. The bowling alley which I used in 2015 was really fun. I am going to send a link to my trip report from this summer. There is a little about CBBR in it. I would recommend it to people who don't want a more quiet type of resort but lots of fun. I stay in the tower section when we go. I like that side of the resort it is where the lazy river is and I like the indoor hallways. The outdoor section on the other side is very nice it is just a bit different feel.

I will do a deeper report on CBBR this time around with more pics.

If you have anything specific you want to ask please do.:D ...https://www.disboards.com/threads/summer-trip-report-finally-yay.3642765/

Thanks for the link Bobbie! That's a great TR! fun trip!

CBBR sounds great ! and fun! We're ok with a little busy! We enjoyed our stays at Pop Century at Disney! Yes- I think I'd prefer the indoor hallway rooms as well. I was leery to stay there while they had construction going on- I figured it may be loud from that. How did you enjoy your family suite? they look nice and lots of room!

So looking forward to your next TR! I'm new at TR myself! Just attempted a live TR from our recent trip!

I loved the family suite. It is not like a 1 BR suite where there is quite a bit of privacy. The privacy screen between the living room/kitchenette area doesn't muffle much sound. I think it was nice just to close that area off for some privacy especially having two teens with us. The bathroom set up is awesome! The shower and sink are behind one door. The toilet is behind another door then the main sink is between the two. We had 3 of us getting ready at one time. The kitchenette is good for putting some groceries, heating things up. I did use the counter space for sandwiches. The little sink is great for washing. I bought my own paper plates, cups, plastic silverware and bowls for mixing stuff. I would go with the tower indoor hallway rooms. I have not stayed at any values at Disney. We usually go to moderates for the upgraded pool areas. I usually don't like to much chaos especially for my DD but I don't feel like that at CBBR. I think it helps with two pools on opposite sides of the property.

The food court at CBBR is amazing! Lots of choices and the food is reasonable priced and good.

I found your live TR that was so good! SF looks so pretty. I might try a live one if I get the chance. I love reading TRs they get me so excited for our trip and I get to share with others who feel the same:goodvibes

CBBR sounds great! It is nice to have a food court! Love the pampering at deluxes, but sometimes you just want an inexpensive meal or snack!

And thanks for reading my TR!:)

I am married to a snorer so I totally understand the situation.

Maybe if the BF sleeps on his side on the sofa, it will ease the snoring?

Take ear plugs and a box fan.
That could help drown out the snoring noise for you.

Thanks for the suggestion about the fan:thumbsup2 It's funny I sleep with a fan circulating even though I have air conditioners to help the air circulate. I wouldn't have thought to bring one because I am so use to packing light for flying. With driving I can leave a little room for one. I can accomplish two things at once. I will tell DD she is on BF moving position duty for the snoring.

Earplugs, yep. That's also what you need. And yes, we take a fan, even if flying, as my DS cannot sleep without it running. I like more quiet at night, but hey, I'm usually passed out from being all day in the parks, so I don't hear much.

 I clicked your link from Gina Bo Bina's latest trip report and see that you are there the end of June/beginning of July. We are looking for a family to join us for an illuminations cruise on July 2nd. If that will work into your schedule we would love a little dis meet.

:wave2: Hi thanks for inviting how nice! I don't know anything about this cruise. We are heading down to southern Florida on the 2nd from universal but haven't made definite plans on times yet. If you can forward me the info I will run it by my DH and teens.

The cruise is on a pontoon boat and leaves and returns to Yacht Club and it is a 2 hour cruise viewing the area hotels and then you anchor, I believe, and get to watch Illuminations from the water. We have never seen it because my girls were too small to stay up late every night and so the nights we kept them out late we stayed at MK and watched Wishes. We are staying offsite this visit and it is our way of getting a little Disney Magic with out having park tickets. The cruise itself is $425 (including tax and tip) so my thought is for 10 people it is only $42.50 each. It is way too expensive for only our family but with others it is "affordable" enough and seems like great fun on a hot summer night.
I don't know if its worth staying an extra night before heading off to the rest of your vacation or not, but if you have never done it, it may be?

I have used a box fan as they have a noise and it drowns out the snoring sounds for me.
Using a whisper quiet fan did not work for me.... but the box fan did.

How many days left into you take off

Let me hear you scream

That’s how I will know you are on your way to sunshine and a fun family vacation

I’m not hearing any sxeeaming

Hi thanks for the info!:thumbsup2 I will be talking to my DH over the next couple of days and see what he says!

It's getting close now Bobbie!!

Thanks yes it is:cool1::jumping1:

This is a different trip for me with driving and being away for two weeks. I am a little overwhelmed about organizing all the packing. I will be switching hotels, (except for Portofino 4 nights), every one to two nights. I look at it as an adventure:D

P.S. I love your :cat: in your signature. I have many of those too. I rescued for awhile.

Hi everyone! Thanks for following along I am really enjoying the trip report piece of the trip!

I had a good experience so far with PBH. I called and talked to someone in the club level about food allergies. I wanted to give them enough time to put something together. The attendant said to pop in when we check in and they will write down our allergies and take care of it.:thumbsup2

I also had another good experience so far. I wrote an email to PBH guest services about room location requests and needs due to our DD. I did mention what happened with Cabana Bay last year. The manager was very helpful and personally saw to putting what we needed in the system and said it would be taken care of. If I have any problems she gave me her name to contact her. I was impressed with the customer service so far:D. It really makes such a difference for our trips when our DD feels safe and comfortable.

I am so glad to see that Lowes adapts the same great customer service level that Universal does for the parks. It has always been one great vacation after another.pixiedust:

Thx!! Yep- we are "unofficial" rescuers! They "find"us!! But, I think they rescue us as much as we rescue them! They bring so much joy!

The customer service at the UO hotels is just superb! I'm sure DD will be comfortable and well taken care of!

Hi everyone! Just so excited I am leaving in 2 days and will be at Universal in 5 days:cool1::cool1:

I am still working on packing, it is quite a challenge with driving and so many hotels but it's still vacation. Luckily I can pack for one week then wash clothes while visiting family.

I took advice on the snoring situation and I purchased these special ear plugs for my DD and I. They will drown out sound but I can have my white noise or music piped in. I tried it out and it seemed to work. I ended up cancelling the 2nd room at PBH and just stayed with the club level room. This is going to save me quite a bit of money and it's good time to save some.

We have a couple of things planned out. We are going to check into CBBR on Wednesday and use it for VB Wednesday night and Thursday morning. It is so convenient walking there. Thursday afternoon we will check in to PBH have food in the early evening and then head to IOA. I want to catch the HP light show. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are whatever days. I love Universal for this type of vacation. We will put one night in DA I think it is really cool at night. We want to put some time in at PBH, we love the resorts.

Monday we will check out and head south to visit the beach and family.

I will try and pop in and give a little live trip report on anything.

Thanks for following:D

Now I hear the screaming...

2 more days!!

What great plans you have for your trip

Just don’t forget to pack the ear plugs
