While I agree it would be a nice attraction, to add something to World Showcase for the kids...I don't think they would go that route given that they have a Carousel in MK already. I could be wrong, but I think they would try to put something different.
But they do have carousels both in DLR and DCA - and they are just right across from each other - so there is a precedent for 2 carousels in the same destination.

well, they have a Carousel in Disneyland and also have one in DCA - granted the look of the carousel is a bit different so this one would need to be a bit unique as well

I didn't know that...still trying to go out west.

true, but it doesn't mean internally they are not behind schedule either
I know. The entire redo of the spine at Epcot and the ordering of replacement monorails could all be behind schedule(and I think they are). We'll never know...

It was King Triton's Carousel and themed to ocean animals but they are changing it to Jessie's Roundup or something and will be themed to the creatures that you can "win" as prizes on Toy Story mania

Am I the only one who thinks a carousel would be a waste of space? :confused3

I would be disappointed, I would hope that the ride would be useful for more age groups but I am an adult with no child.

Ugh, I would hate a carousel. We have no children either, but my inner child is letting you know she would hate a carousel too, always found them boring.

Maybe my kids are too sheltered but they loooooover carousels - any park (like regular park or amusement park) that has one we have to ride it several times

Okay, I have to admit this, I don't buy it, AND it is being relooked into.

One very reliable insider(scuttle) at WDWMagic.com has CONFIRMED( well he originally did) that Brazil will be built, roughly $450 million price tag, that Coco is back on for mexico and that Imagination 4.0 is back on.

However - Martin has asked him to go back and confirm - first for cost or Brazil - Scuttle said 50/50 disney and Brazil - Martin has said it would be some sponsor instead, also he has not heard any movement on Imagination AND Coco was dead due to some reason not $$$.

Scuttle was going to follow up, he HAS seen plans though, with costs involved, so at least we seem to be past blue sky if that is true.

but again, PLEASE take this with a grain of salt.

just out of curiousity, was the $450m for Brazil met with thoughts that is was higher or lower than expected. Seems like a decent chunk of money for a pavilion without a ride

If Imagination 4.0 is really back on, I'd like to see *that* get a higher budget than another pavilion ... it's a great pavilion and a great character - needs a great attraction!

I love carousels. So much so we rented one out for our wedding so our guests had something to do between the ceremony and reception. Hence why I wouldn't mind to see one in the UK...esp especia if it is well crafted and themed. Some of the carousels are absolutely beautiful works of art.

Can someone remind me what Imagination 4.0 is?

Just a revamping of the Imagination pavilion in general (we are currently on the 3rd incarnation of the main ride, so this would be the next evolution to it). One rumor at one point would have the main ride be Inside Out themed. Then either Figment would have his own secondary attraction or would be featured in the Inside Out one. But I don't think that is set or anything - so no specifics are set

I believe scuttle on WDWmagic stated that the imagination 4.0 would have around a $250 million budget.
