D511AD1E-D005-4E24-8217-02F44FF280CC.jpeg quick trip report — I flew down just for one night from Nashville bc I had airline miles and the days off work so I booked one night at AKL and booked moonlight magic and me and a friend. We got our wristbands at 6pm at the resort and got to HS at 6:40 and they let us on in (it said 7 but they were letting people in). We hadn’t planned anything at all so just winged it— we went to some gift shops and then saw Olaf with 5 minute wait. Then saw The 7:30 Frozen show. Then saw the 8pm Movie Magic projection which was cute and the 8:30 Star Wars show. Then we went to Fairfax Fair to use our vouchers- got the rice bowl which I asked to make vegetarian and they put vegetarian chili on it which was delicious! They had carts out with free mickey bars around the park. Then we went to the gift shop and bought the moonlight magic shirts. Then we went to Launch Bay and saw Rey and Chewbacca with 25 min wait and Darth Vader about 15 min wait. Went to toy story land and saucers were 20 min and Slinky posted at 40 min but was really 25 min. By then it was 11:30pm and we were exhausted and went to the bus back to the resort. Overall really enjoyed and would love to book another if it lines up right again.

Thank you for posting. I tried on both opportunities to book MM but couldn't even get thru the process to get a ticket for Oct 3. So happy you had a good time and felt it was worth your special trip.

I didn’t try autographs but the handler in the Launch Bay did say none of the Star Wars characters sign autographs.

Heading to this party on Wed 26th. Just wondering what "vouchers" you were using.
They give meal vouchers when you get your wristband that gives you entree and a fountain drink. Other items like cupcakes and alcohol available for purchase. I don’t remember which ones but a couple restaurants said only open until 8pm but the rest listed were open until midnight.

All attractions except those in Toy Story Land were walk on. I did ToT three times in a row and lifts were less then half full. Lines for characters were around 15-20 minutes max, except the "seventh sister" from Star wars was alone most night, probably because no one knew who she was :)
I waited 20 minutes for Chewbecca and Rey, 15 for Dart Vader, 5 for BB8, 15 for Capitan Phasma, 15 for Oswald, 3 for the seventh syster, 10 for Sweetums. Queued for Clarabella, but it was near the end of the evening and the line was going very slowly and I wanted to try to get a ride in TSL so I left.
Ewoks were meeting near the Star Tour and the line looked very long, if you're interested I'd say it's the highest priority of the evening.

I saw the DVC execs were talking with people near the Hollywood Brown Derby but I didn't talk to them.
I went to Toy Story around 11:30, did SS with 10 minutes wait (was listed 15 in the app) and SDD with 15 (was listed 30), which is a very fun ride but not worth much more than that. Toy Story Land was busier than most evenings at park close.

I think they got the number of people attending just right, there wasn't much to do, more people and it would have been a much worst night for everyone.

It was a fun event, I was happy to be able to attend, but not something to stress about. For comparison, Halloween Parties are much better with all the special entertainment, more characters to meet and small extras on three rides. I would not buy direct to have access to the parties, I would not book a trip to attend one. It's a fun extra but nothing to stress over.

We are going to the event Sept 26- so excited! I did not realize a meal was included- or is it more of a "late night snack"? Wondering if we should cancel dinner reservations... Do you know how early you can redeem your meal voucher? Thank you for the info!!

You can order any entrée from the regular restaurant menu and get a fountain beverage (not valid for specialty beverages like slush). With that and free Mickey bars I wouldn't do a table service that evening.
I was at the park at 6:30 and went to Backlog express and was able to use it, but I don't know what the earliest time. An early dinner is wise, lines at the restaurants were longer later.

We got tickets to MM on Oct. 3. But before I knew if we would be able to score tickets, I made FP's for Toy Story Mania, TOT and RR (no SDD available). Would you suggest to cancel these FP's and go to another park or just spend the whole day at HS? I am torn.

We were there too. I thought it was waaay better than the animal kingdom event. We saw bolt, darth Vader, Ewoks, Rey and Chewbacca, sweetums, B.B.-8, Jessie and buzz, ate at backlot express, got free ice cream bars, rode saucers 5x, slinky dog, toy story mania. It was way less crowded than the AK one. Was the highlight of our trip. Both our kids agreed it was more fun than the Halloween party that I paid $300 for

We rode all the rides at least once, and ToT 10 times. This event we felt was more fun than the MNSSHP just from the fact there were no waits. We even had the car on ToT to ourselves several times.

During the MNSSHP I attended the only rides with a wait were Haunted Manson, Space Mountains, Pirates (because of the little change), 7DMT and Peter pan, and most of those were very short anyway (10-15 minutes). Everything else was a walk on, there are so many other things to do during the party that only a few people do the attractions.

Can't believe no one has mentioned how much OP looks like Angela from The Office! :joker:

Jokes aside, your report sounds wonderful! We were planning on going to the next MM magic event (we made reservations), but were worried it would be too crowded to be enjoyable, and instead signed up for the AP morning preview. Maybe I can convince Mrs. Texan to do both :D
