Mickey's Halloween Party and Halloween Time Superthread 2018!!

This is this year's bag. It features Wreck-It-Ralph 2 and Incredibles 2. It's about 9 by 7 by 3.

We were able to request specific candies. I think it helps to have specific things in mind and make sure you see them in the bin. Most of the CMs seemed willing to give us what we like the best.

Another random note, if you got your tickets in the mail (in other words, if you have physical tickets), be sure to bring them with you to the party even if you've scanned them into your app. The CM told us we need the physical tickets to get in (I don't know why).
Thanks for the candy update!
And thanks for the ticket update! I bought my tickets in person at the booth, so I have physical ones. They are scanned into my app, but I'll be sure to bring the actual copies.

It was fun, candy lines were long. We met Mickey and Goofy. They trade out Daisy/Minnie, Mickey/Donald, Pluto/Goofy so make sure you are okay meeting either character when you get in line.

What great pics! You and your daughter are so pretty! Sounds like you guys had a great time.

Has anyone seen the MHP merchandise (e.g. special t-shirt, AP shirt, pins, etc.) for sale on non-party days? If so, where?

All these party updates are so exciting! You can really feel the energy level in this thread skyrocketing since yesterday. :)

Sorry if this has been covered already but.......Is the Headless Horseman riding this year ?? If so is he before both parades??
Thanks

They were selling the merchandise yesterday (Thu). I saw the shirts at Emporium and Store Command, the pins at the pin shops, and the bracelet at Uptown Jewelery.

The Headless Horseman rides before both parades.

 You are so sweet. Thank you. It really was a fun time.

Pro tip: for the parade we nabbed a spot along Main St on a bench (near Tomorrowland). About 30 minutes before the parade, they moved the benches to the curb so there was literally no one in front of us and we got to stay on the bench. Right after the parade they ask everyone to move into the street for the fireworks. We moved right into the hub...well....the benches that were reserved for the parade (straight in front of the castle) become fair game and we were able to snag one for fireworks. We couldn't sit to see them but it sure was nice to sit while waiting.

Pro tip 2: trick or treat late; they offer double the candy from our experience. Handfuls after the fireworks v before.

We never received physical tickets. How do we get them? When I purchased ours, they were just put on the app

View attachment 352702 I’m thrilled. Thanks for all the info. My mother made us all some bigger personalized bags. The trick
Or treat glows in the dark. Two parties sept 26th and oct 31!

Oh my gosh! Your mother did a beautiful job on your trick or treat bags! Love it! I always make my grandkids' trick or treat bags to match their costumes, but I've never thought to use glow in the dark paint or material. Your mom is very talented!

Thanks so much for posting a pic of the trick or treat bag, and for the reminder to bring the physical tickets to the party! Very helpful info!

Thanks for posting your pics from the party. Love them! And thanks for the late night candy tip! LOL!

I love all the positivity here!

And the loads of info! Like about the tickets. I print everything but they're in my app so I wasn't going to bring the printouts. Thanks for the tip! I would have been cranky if I'd had to go back and get them.

I’m kinda in a disagreement with a couple people in my party. We are currently in the Grand Californian and they want to enter California Adventure through the hotel entrance. Has anyone successfully used a Halloween Party ticket to enter California Adventure from the Grand Californian entrance?

You can't. You have to enter through the main entrance where it says special ticketed event or something like this as you have to get wristbands when you enter the park.

But you don't get your wristbands in DCA; the special event gates are for DL. I don't see why you couldn't try the GCH entrance for DCA -- your party ticket should work like a regular hopper for DCA. What's the worst thing that could happen? The CMs tell you to go to the DCA front gate?
