A few more pics from our stay last week. Kind of random.

IMO, CSR is a very relaxing spot at night. It's easy to forget you are at WDW.

The holiday decorations around GDT are really lovely.

Bus monitors still do not show arrival estimates, as they did pre-COVID. For some reason this screen toggles with one that has the bus icon on MK.

The restrooms next to Siestas by the Dig Site pool have lockers and changing/shower areas. The lockers and changing areas are available, the showers themselves are still not available due to COVID (note the signs).

Here's the shower, which would normally have a curtain. Note the shampoo/wash bottles, which is a nice touch. Good for a late check-out/departure pool day (when these are available).

Paddles/balls for ping pong are available from the recreation CMs. The kids play area is blocked off/closed.

CSR is a great place for a morning run. There are easy to follow .75 and 1 mile running trails around the lake. With Ranchos and Cabanas unoccupied I logged some distance in those parking lots as well just for a change of scene.

Take out from Three Bridges To Go doesn't look all that great, but it was tasty. It works reasonably well, but make sure you have some time as to go/mobile ordering at peak times anywhere on WDW property can be a little slow.

GDT vending machines are on every floor as is an ice machine next to it - both available as they would be in normal times.

I watched YouTube videos of the Gran Destino Tower rooms and it’s hard to see if the rooms in the tower have ceiling fans or not like the rooms in the Casitas, Ranchos, etc do. Can someone please tell me if the Gran Destino standard view rooms do or don’t have ceiling fans? I can’t sleep without a fan and am wondering if I need to bring the portable one I have .. lol TIA! 🙂

No ceiling fans, but at least in the rooms we’ve had at GDT, I can never get the HVAC to NOT blow on us all night long. Brrrrrr!!!

YMMV.

Same!
One of the first things I do is hike up the thermostat, LOL. GDT included :)
I have been checking the weather and apparently a cold front came in so it’ll be colder than “normal” so I’m sure we’ll have the heat in but I’m just so used to having a fan on when I sleep, I can’t sleep without one! Lol

Anyone have any tips for charging an ECV .....doors are so heavy For one person to hold open while trying to get ECV into room?

if you need a fan just for the noise, there are many Apps you can download to your phone to use instead. That is what my family does. You can choose the sound of rain, a fan, the ocean. They do not use any data and they also work in airplane mode. I have a favorite App, but I don’t know if you can say it on the boards.

And adding 2/12-17 also! :) My cruise for Feb break was cancelled, so why not go back to Disney?!?!?!?

Decided to change to CBR for Feb mainly for a change of pace since I'll have just been at CSR the month before! I still love it though!! And will be there in January!!

Speaking of Dahlia Lounge, some pics. Current hours are 7pm-12am. Frankly I wish they'd up the opening to something like 5pm. Sometimes you just don't feel like walking over to Three Bridges (which opens at 4:30pm) or Siestas if you want a beverage. But they’re open, so whatever it takes for it to stay that way, I’m game. 8-)

Outdoor seating is quite nice, especially given current circumstances. Sort of surprised they don't have heaters up here, maybe they roll some out on colder nights?

View towards one angle. This was Saturday night just after 7pm. The parking lot was similarly empty during our whole stay, generally speaking. While there were people around the resort and times where it felt pretty normal, most of the time I didn't feel it was particularly crowded or very full.

View towards DHS and Epcot. The new Swan Reserve building is a prominent new fixture from this vantage point. iPhone nighttime camera making the parking lots appear a lot brighter/more prominent in these pics than they really are - the view is really quite lovely.

We grabbed two seats at the bar. No wait, although in fairness it was right after they opened.

Food is tapas here. Ordered the Chicken Wings, Croquettes, Shrimp Pil Pil, and Smoked Paprika Chips Really doesn't look all that great in the pics, but it was all very good - especially the Shrimp Pil Pil. Comes with several big shrimp (had already eaten many when pic was taken) and toasted bread for dipping in the wonderful sauce. I would seriously make a trip here just for that dish (and the spicy margarita).

Ok - were you the couple talking to the bartender when he showed you the pic with the trophy!
