    Why are Americans so charming?

I've had lots of good experiences with the Brits visiting the U.S. being quite enjoyable fellow travelers, at Disney and other destinations on several occasions.

Thoughts on the changes WDW/DL are making to the DAS pass?

IMO it's partially been driven by corporate greed, partially by what I consider questionable decisions to prop up other divisions by using the parks (largely WDW) as the funding mechanism. Businesses need to make a profit to stay alive. Businesses grow and remain profitable by moving $$...

Thoughts on the changes WDW/DL are making to the DAS pass?

Ah, clearly should have been obvious. Thank you. Seems reasonable. Allows families to still experience things together without bogging things down unreasonably if someone wanted to claim their mailman, their long-lost pen pal, etc. should get to join in. Definitely see them allowing for...

    What’s for Dinner Tonight?

My daughters are both very into making these, usually tilting heavily to the Korean style. I've tried a couple and they've been quite tasty. Tonight I'm trying out a new recipe for Tilapia fish cakes where you first bake the fish, then flake it and mix with other ingredients and brown in a...

I don't understand what the bold refers to? Sorry for being clueless, sometimes I just need someone to tell it to me like I'm five.

    Axe Deodorant

Yep. Middle school boys using it as what would now no doubt be called a "life hack" to avoid showering and changing clothes, socks, underwear. When my daughter was teaching middle school she said the mix of Axe and body odors was like a toxic cloud in her room some hours and it was literally...

Thoughts on the changes WDW/DL are making to the DAS pass?

If that's the case this seems like a really practical and straightforward way to help out many guests -- without investment by Disney or costs or negative impacts to guests. Changes like this seem like a win for everybody -- it would be nice if more things could be addressed so simply.

    What's your favourite Disney memory?

Hard to pinpoint. I have wonderful memories of first visiting as a child and being both awestruck and as if I was somehow familiar and entirely at home. Had a fantastic visit with DH and I early in our marriage where we burned the candle at both ends for a full week and had a fabulous time...

Thoughts on the changes WDW/DL are making to the DAS pass?

The bold is a common sense, practical solution that might genuinely help a lot of people out, which is wonderful. Unfortunately I can also see where there are ways for it to go quite wrong. I would hope Disney puts in the necessary thought and planning to make it a helpful solution for those...

Do I have a claim for Unemployment?

A common guideline is 50 miles, no idea if that applies in CA. Perhaps do some digging into California's regulations on constructive discharge, which is essentially the situation viewed from OP's perspective. Legally it may be viewed differently. Good luck. That is understandably a big change.

Thoughts on the changes WDW/DL are making to the DAS pass?

IMO it all stems from the root of a problem that has been slowly strangling the parks for years now -- neglecting to see to it that capacity keeps pace with demand, or at least making a somewhat meaningful attempt to do so. Once they stepped back on that idea years ago the die was cast. The...

The Tortured Poet's Department- anyone else listening?

Somehow it always kind of takes me by surprise how much I enjoy so many of his songs, maybe it is the looks, IDK. Maybe he's better off having sort of a "sleeper" presence or image, for lack of a better term, and it will end up giving his career more longevity and creative freedom. Taylor...

Target Planning to Stop Selling Physical Media Online and In-Store by 2025 - Rumor

From what I've heard Target drives quite a bit of traffic through their stores via their exclusive deals offering exclusive versions of albums from various music artists. As far as that goes I'd be a bit surprised they would consider shutting off that particular revenue stream.

Anyone Watch So You Think You Can Dance?

I've watched all since season one, episode one. I watched first ep of this season so far and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the judging panel. I knew Comfort would not disappoint. I was uncertain about Allison and Maks, although both seemed to offer up some decent constructive...

    NJ Earthquake

Actually the most stringent building codes in the U.S. are in Florida. Overall Canadian building codes are more stringent than most of the U.S., which Holmes has discussed several times in his various shows. Canadian codes don't address the specifics of earthquakes or hurricanes, as CA and FL do.

    OJ Simpson Died

OJ as the murderer is simply the culmination of ongoing DV in my mind. IDK if I'd peg that as an act of psychosis under those circumstances. I'll leave that to the professionals. (Note: NOT minimizing the acts in any way. What happened was horrific. Full stop.) My comments about...
