    Will I regret my decision--GCH vs off-site?

My wife and I stayed at GCH in 2022 and really loved it. We just got back from a week at DL with a party of five. I tried to get into GCH again using DVC, but couldn’t get availability. So we stayed off-site at the Courtyard. The Courtyard was excellent. The rooms are large and hold six...

    Great Maple restaurant now open

We had supper there last weekend. We ordered the Salmon and the Ribeye Melt. Both were very good.

Has anyone had success booking dining? I mean......for the love of churros!

Hopefully it will be the same for you too. I noticed that BB hung around for something like 5 to 10 minutes yesterday before it went *poof* from the available list.

Has anyone had success booking dining? I mean......for the love of churros!

Well, thankfully after two failed dry-runs, it's been easy going for the last two days when it counted. Must be that the dry runs were for the first weekend in December when the locals will be heavier. At the stroke of 6 AM PDT I got BB on day 1, and just added LLL and TS for day 2 this...

Has anyone had success booking dining? I mean......for the love of churros!

Another question, this one regarding Trader Sam's. Is there a limit on the party size? I know there are smaller numbers of larger party tables available, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't a limit at Trader Sam's. The last two mornings, I've tried 5, with no availability right at 6 AM...

Has anyone had success booking dining? I mean......for the love of churros!

So, the last two mornings, the 60-days-out day didn't become active to select when searching generically for reservations until the stroke of 6:00:00 AM PDT. So if they open up a specific restaurant before that, is there a different route to look for looking for a specific restaurant?

Did a "dry run" this morning to see how things looked. Refreshed right on time... I could have gotten Trader Sam's and the other harder to get places, but never saw Blue Bayou. Does it often open at a different time other than 6 AM PDT?

    VDH July 27th

Well, at this point I'm glad I made off-site reservations a couple of months ago for our early December DL trip instead of waiting for this hot mess to happen and try to use our DVC points today.

Well, when you gut your domestic IT organization and replace most of them with H1-B visa workers, the results can get dicey.

Can DLH guests use the GCH entrance to DCA?

While only allowing on-site hotel guests access to the GCH DCA gate may still be policy, from what we saw last week it doesn't seem to be enforced (and this was during heavy Spring Break crowds) And quite frankly there's no real need to under the current environment. On-site guests are no...

    Genie + per day question

Also, to save time, pre-load a payment method into your Disneyland app, so once you're in the park you don't have to futz with pulling out a credit card and enter it when you purchase Genie+. Each morning, we'd scan into the parks, walk to the rope drop stop, and then pull out my phone and...

Can We do Disneyland in 2 days???

If you're talking about DL Park only, we did it in 2 days last week with Spring Break crowds. We rope dropped both days and used Genie+. We did everything except Tea Cups (I can't take them), Tom Sawyer Island, and the canoes. We did many things more than once.

Can DLH guests use the GCH entrance to DCA?

When we used the entrance last week, no one asked for proof that we were staying at GCH.

    High anxiety about upcoming trip

I can happily report that I was in the same situation as you... a long-time WDW veteran, but clueless about the DLR. We just got back from a trip to the Disney "mothership" and I'm happy to report that our experience was great. We had 4-day park hoppers with Genie+. We had reservations for two...

Best way to get to hotel from SNA

FYI... Yellow Cab just upped their SNA/DL flat rate $4 (I believe) due to the bonkers gas prices in CA. I'm sure other transportation providers have done, or will do, likewise.

    Disneyland Ticket Issue/Question

I don't know about the scenario that you pose, but I do think that it's safe to say that the reason that Disney will only roll-over tickets in-person is to prevent fraud and to not aid in the re-sale of tickets. Also, as an addendum to what I posted earlier, I MAY have misinterpreted what the...

    Expired tickets/reservations

Updates on what I found out on-site when I went to exchange our expired pre-COVID tickets. The crux of the issue, as noted above, is that two groups are involved, Guest Relations and Ticketing. GR can move reservations, but cannot exchange expired tickets. Ticketing can re-issue tickets, but...

    Disneyland Ticket Issue/Question

Update to our ticket situation. We opted to keep and use our 2nd set of tickets for this trip and decided to roll-over our pre-COVID set that expired on 12/16/21 for a future trip. After talking to three CMs, in both Guest Relations and the ticket booth, I think I have a better understanding...
