    Delta Basic Economy Questions?

Yep! That’s definitely true and I was wrong about that! I’m glad I looked because it educated me as well!

    Delta Basic Economy Questions?

Yes I understand the difference. I’m just not willing to concede that the only thing that matters is the Order of checking in. I think delta has a pretty decent system overall for how they handle these situations and it’s usually a moot point because of volunteers.

    Delta Basic Economy Questions?

Certainly looks like they’re using some sort of system that values the dollar paid and the time of check in to determine who gets bumped first based on their current contract of carriage. It’s really neither here nor there for me as I primarily fly American and Southwest. Seems like their...

    Delta Basic Economy Questions?

While it’s not the only criteria, it is almost certainly a factor. Delta I think had the least amount of involuntary boarding situations last year (I think I read that) but I would think, given that the fare paid helps to determine the amount of compensation owed in a situation of involuntarily...

    Room Not Cleaned at Poly

Our room at AKL was skipped twice on our trip in April. The first time I just asked for towels and let it go. The second time though I went to the lobby and dealt with someone there and they gave me a small credit off of one night. I wasn’t satisfied that the housekeepers Manager was aware...

    TSA Checking Candy

I would have felt the same way had I not witnessed this with my own eyes on Saturday. Multiple families and individuals had all food items taken from their bags and individually swabbed. They’re going far beyond anything I’ve ever seen at MCO.

Hassle Getting Sandwiches Through TSA In Carry On?

I had no problems on this past Thursday (5:30 am flight on sw phl to Orlando) with food in my bag or my shoes needing to go on the belt or my electronics needing to come out other than my laptop. Got to PHL at 4:30am and was at my gate by 4:45 (and curbside checkin started at 3:45 that day for...

    Disabilities on the Disney bus

Shortened to just this part (but 100% agree with the rest of your post). The seats under this sign are usually right next to the wheelchair fold ups and I assumed this particular sign was in relation to the seats in the front of the bus as those with mobility challenges or the elderly may have a...

    Disabilities on the Disney bus

That’s actually not the sign I’m talking about. There is a sign over the seats that fold up, usually blue with white writing that says those seats must be given up for those traveling in wheelchairs. There is another, separate sign on some buses, usually over the next set of seats closer to...

    Mission Space and Claustrophobia

I have similar issues with claustrophobia also originally brought on by an elevator issue (overcrowded elevator dropped several floors while I was on it, then stalled and we had to be rescued by the fire department). I have done mission space in the past as a teenager and in my early 20s and I...

    TSA Checking Candy

Oh it wasn’t every line. I always pick the wrong line there, but yesterday was beyond the normal frustration at MCO.

    TSA Checking Candy

This. The line I was in yesterday stopped cold for over half an hour 2 families after me while we all waited for our bags to undergo secondary search. I had a rogue pack of crackers in there that were a cause for concern... many MNSSHP going families had bags of candy being inspected. They...

    Disabilities on the Disney bus

Unless you’re standing or sitting right in front of them they are hard to see unless you’re looking for them. They used to be right above the seat on the window and now they’re usually at the top of the window, above most people’s eyeline. If I needed a seat on the bus I would not get on and...

    Disabilities on the Disney bus

Wow! That’s terrible. So he loaded you and your scooter, you moved to a seat and he made you move? I hope you complained. That shouldn’t happen. They prefer those with scooters to transfer to a seat if they are able because it’s safer. These seats I was referring to are ideal for that...

DME Departure time changes with MCO Travel Advisory

You can always ask for an earlier bus. When I got to MCO yesterday around 11:30, I had a 6:55 pm flight but was trying to get on standby for a 1:40 flight. The wait time at security was posted as 18-22 minutes. It took over an hour. They pulled bags all over the place and swabbed food...

    Disabilities on the Disney bus

They’re on the buses toward the front by the driver. Not the fold up seats but the next set closer to the driver. They have a sticky on the window over them that generally says “kindly offer these seats to the elderly or disabled” or something to that effect. They’re not the signs over the...

MCO inspecting candy in carry ons?

Late to this party but coming through MCO today was a nightmare. They are pulling bags with any food in it, all electronics have to come out (cell Phones and tablets which typically can be left in your bag), shoes had to go on the belt and not in a bin, etc. It was the worst I’ve ever seen...

Lots of people using Early Bird Check In

I am flying out of PHL tomorrow on a 5:30am flight to Orlando for a business trip. My airfare was booked for me on October 3rd, and I added EBCI last week because I didn’t want to get up early today and I’ll be in meetings when I would need to check in for my return flight. When I checked this...
