    DAS changes coming WDW

Yep, absolutely, not disagreeing. But to circle this back, your original comment was that you would need to be allowed to have 5 guests so another adult could help your wife take the kids on rides. But CMs know the reality is there are lots of attractions a single parent can do with young...

Question about Park Hours (Animal Kingdom and Epcot)

So I would say that based on the hours today (a Friday) and the next 2-3 weeks... Friday is more likely to get pushed to a 7pm close with Thursday staying at a 6pm close. If there is a change. But it is kind of odd that late April/early May is closed later on Friday than mid-May onward. That...

    DAS changes coming WDW

At Dumbo I don't believe the 6-yr-old would be allowed to ride alone. The PP asked about Aladdin which has 2 rows of seats in the ride vehicle, so if 3 across doesn't fit they would put the older child or both kids in the front seat with the mom in the back seat. She is still riding with them...

    DAS changes coming WDW

There is actually less information available today than there was last Tuesday when the news broke. I don't know if someone at Disney accidentally posted something that wasn't ready, or if changes are still being set, or if they need to do CM training before rolling anything out in more...

    DAS changes coming WDW

Yes, as has been noted the Advanced Selections has been a variable point ever since that launched. Never has anyone reported being allowed to pre-register any earlier so I think that is pretty much set in stone (or maybe in the IT that allows you to enter the online chat queue). But without...

    Staying Off-Property, Visiting Resorts Questions

Just to add... if the resort activities take place within the fenced pool area, it is restricted even if you don't intend to swim. Several resorts have their afternoon fun activities in the pool area. So check the schedules someone posted and pay attention to location.

    DAS changes coming WDW

Under the new system, it really shouldn't matter because it's expected the Advanced Selections will go away. That was the reason in the past for doing pre-registration early in the 30-day window. For visits on or after May 20th, there will likely is no time advantage to doing the...

MCO Car Rental Return to DCL Ground Transfer Check-In?

That's a lot of traveling around on embarkation day. If you are a couple of adults, maybe it works for you. If it's with kids, I'd seriously look into some other options. Have you tried Enterprise, Alamo or National? Those can be returned at the Car Care Center at WDW and they'll provide a...

    DAS changes coming WDW

I know you can fit 1 average adult plus 2 small kids on Dumbo and Aladdin, also Buzz and Toy Story though 1 person won't have a blaster; Slinky might not allow 3 across because of the safety restraints. Snow White hasn't been at WDW for several years. Have they tried to ride those with just 1...

    DAS changes coming WDW

That appears to all be related to the current DAS program and not the new changes. Interesting the US site doesn't even have an equivalent page "the /plan" part). Disney really has some updating to do with various websites...

    DAS changes coming WDW

How old are the kids? WDW ride CMs work with this every day. Depending on the ride they may fit 3 together, or they may put the 2 kids next to each other with Mom immediately behind. I do think it's extremely rare they kick a family out of line at boarding because there are too many young kids.

    DAS changes coming WDW

I don't believe that is required at this time, at least it has not been communicated as such on the website. What you posted about the 2-30 days in advance is from the current system. The video chat system was only doing "pre" registration, not onsite, and the Advanced Selections could only be...

    DAS changes coming WDW

Folks -- I again remind you to please stop the speculation. It has now turned to hypothesizing about how Disney may determine fraud and banning based on multiple calls, different disabilities, etc. Most of what has been floated here is possible to happen with legitimate users. Stop. Disney...

ASD Evaluation - What to Expect?

My daughter had a brief initial evaluation; we weren’t seeking an ASD diagnosis so I don’t know what the full process would have been if that was our goal. It was maybe an hour; she spent time playing with a child psychologist while we (parents) met with a development pediatrician to discuss...

    DAS changes coming WDW

It’s tied to the tickets not the resort because some folks stay offsite. However now without theme park reservations I have to assume it simply goes by the ticket start date regardless of actual plans.

    DAS changes coming WDW

Under the current program it is 30-days from first park day. That said, do you have package tickets? If so, your tickets start at check-in so you may be able to do it tomorrow. If you have separate tickets that don't start until May 20th, you will probably be told it's too early.

    DAS changes coming WDW

Prior to Oct. 2021 DAS was only given onsite at the time of your visit. Then Disney started offering a pre-registration via video chat. It’s been my understanding that was only available to guests in the US and Canada; presumably due to international internet privacy laws though to my...

    ? About DAS

As PP mentions, your needs would likely be considered mobility or stamina related with a suggested accommodation of using a mobility device. DAS is not intended to allow one to get more done in less time. Genie+ and/or ILL$ might help with that. That said, you are welcome to try the video...

    DAS changes coming WDW

Have you tried the US site? You may need to try using an Incognito browser. Disney appears to have removed the language about only US (or North Americans) doing the pre-registration, which leads me to believe they are or have addressed this issue. I'm really sorry you are kind of stuck in...
