Predictions or rumors about Magic 2023 dry dock?

I'm interested as well as we'll be sailing the Magic July 31st!!!

    Hotels that offer Express Pass?

Hello, we are planning to try out the Universal Parks for the first time this Summer. Since I've never been to Universal either pre or post Covid, I was wondering how necessary it is to stay at one of the Deluxe hotels that offers free Express Pass? We are a family of 5 so it seems it would be...

2nd week of June cancel watch thread

So we have a trip booked June 29 through July 6 that will now be officially cancelled since they aren't opening until July 11 - July 15. Anyone know if Disney is still offering free dining to guests with cancelled trips for a future booking?

Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

Masks and pools are definitely dealbreakers for me. Have they said pools won't reopen? I know Chapek said masks will likely be required so I may as well cancel my late June/July trip regardless.

Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

That won't help their hotel business though, since local passholders don't normal rent a room

Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

If the rumors are true, I don't see how Disney can justify the prices they charge for such a very limited experience? I certainly won't pay the $6,000 my late June/July trip is costing to only go to MK with limited experiences there.

Has anyone else been told to keep their reservation?

If this is true, I'm definitely not paying $6,000 for my late June - July trip to only have Magic Kingdom open, no fast passes, no character meets, and limited restaurants. I also booked CBR for the gondola which would be pointless if only MK was open.

Has anyone else been told to keep their reservation?

I'm in Illinois and our governor announced yesterday that we will remain on lockdown the entire month of May. :guilty:

Has anyone else been told to keep their reservation?

Considering international guests make up a large percentage of WDW guests and there are currently international travel bans in place, that alone will keep numbers down should the parks open before the travel bans are lifted.

    Lack of FP+ options

Yes, you do have to pay extra for maxpass, which is a turn off to me, too. We were in Disneyland in Jan. 2019 and skipped maxpass, but they still use the old school paper fastpasses free so we just did that and got on plenty of stuff. It was the off season though, so not sure what's it like in...

    Big River Grille gone?

They really need a quick service over there. We usually do the standard dining plan which means half our meals are quick service so the lack of a dedicated quick service is a major negative for that area. Plus, we usually do our table service meals in the park and save our quick service for...

WDW COVID-19 Operational Changes- Reservation System-Rope Drop Procedures

I have a tentative room/dining plan/ticket package booked for end of June through beginning of July. I'd prefer to get the 4-park magic ticket as it will save me some money but I don't want to pay for tickets upfront with all the uncertainty. My fastpass+ date is at the end of this month. Does...

Has anyone else been told to keep their reservation?

I have no idea about May, but I don't think Disney would have started rebooking their guests that were forced to cancel starting June 1st under the free dining offer if there was a good chance they would have to cancel a second time. That would be a huge headache for Disney. I have no inside...

CBR Before & After Skyliner (plus 5th Sleeper Question)

We stayed at Pop years ago when they had double beds (and we only had 1 kid!) but since then, they've remodeled and added queens. The value rooms are VERY small though, so small that to add queens, one of the beds is now a "table" murphy bed that folds down. I don't think you could fit an air...

CBR Before & After Skyliner (plus 5th Sleeper Question)

If it was a few years ago you stayed there, you probably haven't seen the new lobby/food court/pool bar, they are all beautiful and the check in area is no longer a separate building from the rest of the resort amenities. I'd watch some tours on youtube to see the differences from what you...

Dole whip - away from Disney

I found them last Summer at a suburban Chicago waterpark called "Raging Waves." That obviously won't do anyone any good right now since waterparks are not open here yet and probably won't be until this crisis is over, but it was the real deal.

    Coronavirus discounts on the horizon?

And businesses will start defaulting on loans, people will start defaulting on mortgages because of all the lost businesses and jobs which in turn will affect banks. When something major like this happens, everything else starts to fall like dominos. The economy is too intertwined. I wish I...

    What was your first resort?

Our first resort was Pop and that's when I fell in love with WDW. I wish we could stay there again, but we have 3 kids now so we would need 2 rooms and usually choose one of the mods that sleep 5 instead.

    CBR or POR?

I stayed at CBR last Summer (post remodel, preskyliner) and POR the summer before. I tentatively booked a trip for this Summer (not sure if it will happen with the pandemic) and chose CBR. I think the skyliner will make it hard to beat as far as mods go. They are both beautiful resorts and I do...
