Blue Bayou early January - what's up?

Remember a few years ago when getting an ADR even 5 days out was easy to do? I miss those days. Luckily for me, hardly anything that requires an ADR appeals to me anymore. It ain't like WDW where an ADR is a must nearly every day if you want good food.

Anyone else staggered by ticket prices?

I do use points. But man, I guess I don't have the point that you do. To be able to fly your family on points and just stay for two days, and then pay for hotels with points left over? That's really nice. I've got point envy! My points I got this year covered a VRBO stay at Pismo and then...

Anyone else staggered by ticket prices?

That used to be me. I'd complain about it a little, but there always seemed to be value. Then... Diaper Genie+ hit. I didn't have to just get tickets - I had to get the fastness system. After living for 20 years with FP, I can't go without. What I saw on my last trip, tons of people in standby...

    180 days and price increase

Seems like there was a recent thread about Disney already being overpriced. This seals the deal for us this year. We were still going back and forth, though leaning against. But now it's an extra $100 for our set of 3-day tickets. Doesn't seem like much of an increase...unless it was already...

Here now…DL was a Disaster Today!!

It might not be popular, but I'll agree with you. I can't speak to lately. Wife and I have been married 21 years. The first 10 years was 7 trips to WDW. The last 10 years have been DL trips (because the $2500 price tag for flying doesn't fit this working-man's budget). It seems like DL has rides...

Uh oh... going to DCA on Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day

Columbus Day or not, October is always really busy. Think of it as summer without less chance of sweltering heat.

Anyone else staggered by ticket prices?

I do believe we've found something we can all agree on. But based on this thread, who knows.

    Rope drop strategies Dec 17-21

We never use G+ for first in the morning. The crowds are usually low. But we're thinking about the same time and I wonder how it will be. No APs will be there, but there'll be plenty of people, no doubt. I'm interested in responses here.

Universal's Epic Universe - News and Discussion

I have a business meeting in Orlando in late-summer 2025. And while I want to see this new park, I'm worried that Universal will be swamped that first week of August. I don't have much interest in WDW anymore. Used to, that was the place to go. But I'm just not a fan of the people who do Disney...

    WWYD?

The ability to do Hogawrts Express is worth the cost. Plus the ability to get to Volcano Bay is a big deal to us in the afternoon.

    Help me with Hotels

We really love Cabana Bay. Cool vibe for sure.

Anyone else staggered by ticket prices?

I can get a five-day 3-park ticket for the same price as 3-day ticket (with the deals they're offering) plus stay at a Universal hotel that's super cheap compared to Anaheim hotels on Harbor. Plus they have a Jimmy Buffet's on site. Can't beat that!

Anyone else staggered by ticket prices?

Disney is publicly traded, publicly owned. If their stocks go down like they have over the last few years, the CEO has to go. The stocks I purchased need to be sending dividends my way for investing. That's how that all works. If you cut my dividends, raise pay, that leads to even higher prices...

Anyone else staggered by ticket prices?

Disneyland has been our go-to vacation since 2013. Not our only place, but the main place. It's become the family gathering place. I sent my oldest to college this semester, so we can't do our normal Fall Break trip. I was wanting to do Disneyland on Christmas break, which means more tourists...

    Disneyland Forward Updated Documents

I've said for years that DLR needs a third gate. When they spent Billions on Star Wars Land, they could've started on a third gate with Star Wars in it, as well as tons of other stuff. I like this idea, though I'll probably beyond the age of being able to enjoy it when it finally happens.

    Allergies -gluten and dairy

Man, that's really frustrating. If it means they're taking GF food off the menu and becoming less safe, then they'll be a destination that is far less frequented by this family.

    Haunted Mansion expanding

Honest moment. As a Splash Mt fan, I do get jealous of all the HM fans getting EVEN MORE stuff while my attraction is in ruins. It's like picking the Angels as my favorite baseball team. They have the very best and yet somehow I get let down.

So I just got back from a 8 day/7 night trip at first time stay at GCH!! WOW!

Even with the discount, I don't think I have enough spare kidneys to pull off a stay there.

Food quality in DL and CA. WTH??

For the 10 years I did WDW, I used to rave about the food and couldn't wait to get to certain places like Liberty Tree Tavern, Tangerine Cafe and other fun places. While they make it on the cheap, the experiences and variety made it great. During the last 10 years where it's been nearly all DL...
