    I must be crazy……AUGUST?!?!

We have gone in the summer many times and those have been some of our best trips. We like the later hours, the pool time and the water parks. Actually the hottest trip we ever experienced was in May. I think because we weren’t acclimated yet to summer weather. We are from a humid state so by...

    Sister Wives

I remember one episode the siblings discussing living together but then decided that it wouldn’t work out and thinking it was best not to have that much togetherness.

    Sister Wives

That is heartbreaking. Young people don’t always have the mental ability to deal with stressful issues and relationships. As the get older and mature, they often realize that life goes on and that it isn’t the end of the world. But being immature and impulsive, they make decisions without...

Why do people take on so much debt?

My dad always said if you can’t manage money when you only have a little, then nothing will change when you have a lot. Which makes sense when you see how many lottery winners end up going broke after striking it rich. We are doing kids a great disservice in this country by not teaching them...

Why do people take on so much debt?

A really frugal person like me would get the book free at their library or online at their kindle free library not buy it

    Dynamic Pricing, yay!!!!!!

Of course companies want to make money. How else would they stay in business and employ workers? Who works for free? And with the record inflation having to pay higher wages and more for food and services, then how could they afford not to raise prices. Corporations aren’t charities - it’s...

    Dynamic Pricing, yay!!!!!!

If that was truly the case then they would have amazing discounts and lower the prices. But prices have only gone up recently so as long as people are willing to pay then prices will continue to rise.

    Part time remote jobs

Almost all are scams. You are better off getting a part time retail, Uber or instacart job if you need actual money.

Why do people take on so much debt?

When someone goes bankrupt, we pay for it with higher prices on goods and services. When government is paying someone’s student loans, we pay for it with our taxes.

Why do people take on so much debt?

And the government is us! If they are paying someone’s college loans for them then it’s out of our tax dollars. The government doesn’t make a product and make a profit. Anything they spend comes from the Americans who work and pay taxes.

Why do people take on so much debt?

Agreed! When I asked my kids what their best memories were from when they were little, they said “when you played hide and seek with us” and “when you used to go sledding in the yard with us”. It wasn’t our Disney trip or anything fancy, and I was surprised and had an eye opening moment!

Why do people take on so much debt?

Some people enjoy working. I have several older relatives who say they will work until they die if they can. They love their jobs and enjoy the social aspect and the feeling of accomplishment from having a purpose in life. And you still can enjoy the fruits of your labor while working, hobbies...

Why do people take on so much debt?

According to Dave Ramsay website: Millionaires probably don’t look the way you think they do. In 2017 and 2018, our team worked on the largest study of millionaires ever conducted and discovered that most of them didn’t inherit their wealth, drive fancy sports cars, or eat at five-star...

    Dynamic Pricing, yay!!!!!!

Disney charges more during peak times of the year, and Amazon prices go up when an item is hot. Our local Burger King has to pay $18 an hour to get help and even then they never have enough staff at any given time. Then factor in the higher than ever prices of food, deliveries etc, then I...

Why do people take on so much debt?

Don’t let higher ed fool you. After working at a large university for years, there is so much waste and so much money sitting in endowments yet they continue to raise tuition every year. My college built some amazing new gyms, sports facilities, dining halls, etc. since I left. That’s where a...

Why do people take on so much debt?

One of the biggest reasons for debt nowadays is college costs. So many of my kids’ friends are in debt for over $100 thousand and have degrees that aren’t worth the debt ratio. It’s one thing to have debt for a medical degree, but to have huge debts for a degree in sports management or art...

Why do people take on so much debt?

No I think we should be asking ourselves since we voted for these members who keep putting us farther and farther into debt.

Why do people take on so much debt?

An interesting article I read in December stated that 30% of the U.S. is still in debt from last Christmas. And 70% say they'll overspend this year again. All for a bunch of junk that we usually don’t need and will be forgotten about in a few weeks time. I really enjoy listening to Dave...
