Recommendations for handling phones - beach, pool, spa

I just put my phone and room keys in my beach bag. Never had an issue with anyone touching our stuff at Aulani (2 visits) or at the beach.

Planning our first trip to Aulani early spring/Summer 2024

We took our first trip to Hawaii in Summer 2022. Here's how we planned our trip, hope it helps! Spent one week on Maui: Haleakala Sunrise, Road to Hana, Ziplining, Snorkeling to Molokini crater, Ioa needle, Waihee ridge trail hike, and visited beaches. We stayed in Wailea area (beautiful, dry...

Aulani KaWa'a Luau vs Paradise Cove or others

We stayed at Aulani last summer and did the Paradise Cove luau. We liked the price, short walk from Aulani and relatively decent food for such a large crowd. Very much enjoyed the dancing, especially with fire and costumes. Location at sunset was beautiful. If you go, get there early if you want...

Would Like to Know About Your Recent Experiences with Hawaiian Airlines

We flew Delta mainland 8 hr flight to HNL in July 2022, had 2 hour layover and then HNL onto Maui. Our bags made the transfer and arrived with us as expected. Hawaiian air between islands are quick flights with no frills but you do get prepackaged water or passion-orange nectar, very tasty.

    Early Arrival - Late Departure

In July, we checked into resort at 11am. Changed into swimsuits in large bathroom near gift shop. Received our room assignment via app around 1pm. On departure day, we left our luggage with valet. We were supposed to make reservation with luana lounge for showers ahead of time but they were...

    Gluten Free Options at Aluani

We went to Aulani in July and experienced some of the GF options. I found the CMs to have a good understanding of what menu items were available and how they were prepared (strict GF with markers placed in food, prepared separately, or "as a preference" meaning food was GF but may have been...

No dining reservation on My Aulani?

When I made my dinner reservation via phone CM (that is how they were handling reservations this past July) I was told that my reservation would not show up on the app. I was given a confirmation but didn't need it when we showed up to restaurant. The Aulani app is pretty limited compared to...

    our 1st visit experience

You'll have a nice time at the luau. We had seats towards the back and still thought the view was fine and buffet style was fairly quick since they have so many lines. Everything is labeled nicely on buffet if you have any allergy concerns. If you're interested in doing any of the activities try...

    our 1st visit experience

Hot tub-the small vanishing edge area. Signs posted. A whole adults only pool area would be awesome! Luana lounge-reservation needed, attendants check you in as you arrive. You are given a one hour time spot.

    our 1st visit experience

First timers to Hawaii/Aulani, stayed 3 days/2 nights at the end of a 13 day vacation to Maui/Oahu. Family of 4 with 15 & 13 yr olds. Check in Checked in at 11am on a Tuesday. Greeted warmly by valet and front desk staff. Quick process even though I had not done online check in. Well I tried...

    Hotel near Aulani?

Keep checking dates for Aulani. When I first tried to book for July, my dates were booked solid. I kept searching on and off for a few weeks at recommendation of agent and our days became available through online search on their website. Otherwise, Four Seasons is literally next door in the...

    Here now,,quick observations

Also there this past week, and has been mentioned here before, pool chairs fill up quickly, walking around at 8:30 I noticed most pool chairs occupied, but plenty remained on the beach (with umbrellas) still at 9am. The pool chair policy is posted many places. I didn't see any cast members...

We're here now and after 3 days of parks we wont be coming back again

We noticed a big difference in terms of park enjoyment during our Oct 2021 trip compared to past trips. 1.Crowds. The ride lines were much longer than anything we had experienced in the past. I do think not having shows or perhaps enough CMs to staff all aspects of park experience made for much...

The Genie Usage, Tips and Strategy ONLY Thread

@snikki I think what might be being said here is that your plans/return times can overlap. I held a RotR ILL for 7:10-8:10. I also had Genie+LL for RRC from 6:55-7:55 and ToT from 7:25-8:25. You will get a message telling you in app you have overlapping plans. The 2 hour window is while...

Best 1st Genie+ LL time for arrival day?

I think park arrival by 12:30 is very doable. Definately watch times closely so you get a slot you want. PP Genie+LL moves quickly. I booked our PP at 9am for 11:50-12:50. Of course this was during the first week of Genie so there may be more slots (or more people using it then!) so keep...

The Genie Usage, Tips and Strategy ONLY Thread

The only issue I had with trying to stack (and something to be aware of) was during my days at MK and DHS this past week (Thurs/Fri) booking a higher popularity ride where time slots go fast (JC/PP or SDD/MFSR) early in the day is that then you're Genie+LL is tried up for quite a while and the...

    Stacking Genie+ LL reservations?

Offsite guest, family of 4 at DHS, Friday 10/22. Crowds felt moderate, waits times about an hour for most everything we did without Genie+. At 7am I grabbed Genie+LL for SDD for 3:25-4:25. I had to wait until 11 to take my next one. At 11am I grabbed a 1:20-2:20 for TSMM. So my Genie+LL was tied...

Who else is waiting until WDW is “back to normal”?

Just returned from a week stay in Orlando. It was so sad/hard not to visit Disney! We had contemplated going for a day just to get our "Disney fix" but decided the reduced experiences/Spring break crowds/wait times didn't justify the cost for something we've done many times before. We decided...

Holland America-MS Zaandam cruise still in progress

https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/cruises/2020/03/27/coronavirus-4-dead-138-sick-holland-america-cruise-limbo/2927031001/ This is just awful. I couldn't find information on when this cruise started. Why didn't the company just cancel so people wouldn't feel compelled to go because of...

    Would you still go?

I saw a father with a car seat on his cart this morning and thought the same thing. I assume he had no other choice and was probably trying to go early to avoid crowds but the store was busy even right at opening. I wish he had someone who he could reach out to keep that baby home! (I wanted to...
