What do you call this grocery shopping holding device?

West coast native, and call it a shopping cart. I first heard it refereed to as a buggy when I moved to the PNW.

    Can you mourn a tree?

Yes. They provide beauty and shade. For some they provide a place to play or relax. You've watched it grow for years. So mourning a tree is reasonable.

how much of a necessity is it to have a car where you live?

Necessary. Our county's public transportation system is extremely limited and non-existent in our area. Nor do we have sidewalks outside of a few subdivisions. You want to go to Sonic? Plan to walk on the shoulder of a busy, highspeed limit 4 lane roadway. Nor does our community have street...

    Booking, Family of 5

We're a family of 6. When we sail together (oldest is in college) we typically book a veranda and inside cabin not too far away. If we sail just with 5 then a veranda. Murphy and dropdown bunks for the kids.

Would you go on a game show?

I'd like to be on Supermarket Sweep. As a kid I wanted to be on Double Dare, Finders Keepers, and most other Nick game shows of the late 80s/early 90s.

    Fallout on Amazon

DD19 has been playing Fallout for years, and binged the series already. DH plays on occasion, and has been working through the episodes.

Cruising in late February? Is it too cold

We've cruised in both early February and early March and both were fine. Weather systems can pass through that drop the temperature. Our next cruise is in January, and we plan to attempt the water. Even in winter it's still warmer than the ocean temperature that I grew up with in Santa Cruz, CA...

    Question for high school parents

At my kids schools you try out, cuts happen. Even colorguard has try outs and cuts. The exception might be a new sport that’s trying to build up its ranks.

What was your favorite book series growing up in the 80's-90's?

I read the entire BSC series written pre 1993 multiple times growing up. Enjoyed the super specials and mysteries. I was also big into Nancy Drew and the Sleepover Friends series.

Would you ever go on a Disney Cruise?

We went on our first Disney cruise in 2022. We just returned from our third last month and juts booked another, without kids. Wahoo. We didn't book when our kids were younger due to cost, but wish we could have. Honestly, I kind of prefer the cruise over the parks. Less busy/chaotic and slower...

Have you been back to your honeymoon spot?

Yup, dozens of times. We honeymooned at WDW.

    Call the Midwife

I have only watched clips of episodes on Facebook reals/videos. They suck me in, and at some point I need to watch an actual episode.

    Shooting Arcade to close?

The space seems rather small for a DVC lounge.

If you could control the weather, what would the weather be where you are right now?

Low humidity, slightly overcast. Low 70s, light breeze, maybe some drizzle.

What's going on in the background while you are on here?

I’m riding passenger on the way home from work. So background is other cars and scenery.

Post something about yourself which you have been judged for?

When we moved from the PNW to the South we received judgement. During a parent teacher conference my husband was told "you 'Northerners' lack manners..." amongst other things because my oldest didn't say Yes ma'am, no ma'am. :rolleyes2 Sorry, but those of us from the west coast don't typically...

Post something about yourself which you have been judged for?

My weight. When I was at my heaviest I was overlooked for work related opportunities because I didn’t ‘fit’ their vision. Of course I was too self conscious to speak up or advocate for myself.

Southeast US - are you ready for 'Ciceda-geddon'?

When we first moved to the south, cicadas were interesting, now they’re just annoying. Every year there seems to be a large collection emerging. It’s just another summer, another night or endless humming/chirping. Nothing to see here…

    Renegade Nell

Disney+ launched Renegade Nell yesterday. So who’s watching it? DH and I watched the first three episodes and thought that it was well written and are enjoying it.
