Just a quick hit on our meals and opinions. Please feel free to ask if you want more info. I saved all my receipts for the meals. We were a family of seven.

Friday Morning 8/27 Chef Mickey's at 10:30 am
Great breakfast buffet, best I have had on property. Good character interaction, but a little quick and we were seated next to a noisy swinging kitchen door!

Friday Evening 8/27 Crystal Palace 5:50 pm
Most of the food was good. Turkey was incredibly moist and tasty and bread pudding was to die for. Other items were average. Tables were litertally crammed together (kids behind me kept hitting my chair as I ate) and it was very noisy. For some reason the character costumes looked very dirty and Eyeore (and I swear this is true) smelled like some kid had vomited on his fur! Found a big paper label in the middle of the peel and eat shrimp, told a burly chef about it and he looked annoyed, came around and stuck his bare hand in the bowl and fished it out. GROSS!!!!

Saturday Lunch 8/28 Prime Time 11:30 am
Mom was a guy but he was very funny and got his whole section in a competitive trivia game. Almost made a mom who said Anastasia was a Disney film stand in the corner as punishment! Had onion rings (great) and chicken sandwich (good) and SMores for dessert (very yummy!) Very good time had by all!

Saturday Dinner 8/28 Rose and Crown 7:30 pm
Checked in Friday (yes, the day before) and was told patio seating would not be a problem. Checked in an hour early on Saturday, was again told patio seating was not a problem, just come back in 45 minutes. Came back in exactly 45 minutes and was shown to a table inside. My husband said we were told we would get a patio table and we had four small children (ages 4,5, 7 and 8) who wanted to see Illuminations and they said, "Don't worry, we will escort you outside into our private viewing area and they will all be able to see. BIG LIE!!! When we were escorted outside fifteen minutes before showtime we found all the adults had taken the spots in front of a brick wall. Our two youngest were too short to see over the wall anyway. We had to hold up two of the kids ourselves for a partial view and the older two had to squueze in behind the adults for a partial view. A TOTAL nightmare. I understand patio seating isn't guaranteed, but we really felt we were misled. On the upside, the food was incredibly good, mushroom appetizer, fish and chips and meat pies and our server was very, very sweet! Invited our server to stay with us when she tours California after her job with Disney is done. She was from England.

Sunday 8/29 Lunch Land Pavillion 12:00 PM
Ate veggie lasagna at "fast food" counter. Very good and filling. Did not even have room for bread stick!

Sunday 8/29 Dinner at Jiko (kids with sitter)
THE BEST MEAL I HAVE EVER HAD! Yes, the service and the food was that good! Restaurant was almost deserted. Had a table by the window overlooking the water. (We asked to be moved from a booth next to kids and they were very nice about it). The monkfish tastes like lobster. The olive flatbread is amazing, the dessert (chocolate candies!) were the stuff of dreams. Waiter made great wine by the glass selections and let us try before we committed to them.

Will type more later...coming up, Cape May, Boma, California Grill, Spoodles, GF Tea and Spoodles.

Your reviews, sorry to hear about your bad Illuminations experience.

That is REALLY gross at CP. You'd think they would use some sort of utencils to get the label out of the shrimp. Sure glad I don't eat shrimp!
That is really dissapointing re: Illuminations and Rose and Crown. I'm glad you had a good meal though.
I too love Jiko's the candie purses are to die for!!!!!!!!

How disgusting and unsanitary at CP. I probably would have seen a manager to complain. Thanks for sharing the reviews.
