Active families, where are you stationed?

We are currently stationed at Ft. Drum. In 14 years, we have been stationed in 6 places.
1990- Ft. Benning, Ga. (Basic)
1991 - Germany
1993 - Ft. Stewart, Ga.
1997 - Korea ( just DH) Kids and I stayed in Stewart
1998 - Ft. Benning, Ga.
2001 - Ft. Irwin, Ca.
2003 - Ft. Drum, NY

We've only been at one base so far (DH just joined last year )--Fort Lewis, WA.

My husband, a reservist, has been active since March 2003. He is stationed at Willow Grove AFB, but come homes each night. He served 3.5months in Iraq and 1 month in Afghanistan. Glad he is home as our the kids and dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a trip planned last yr in Aug since he returned at the end of June, but was given orders 3 weeks later and we had to rearrange our whole trip and leave within a week.

We are currently here at Fort Hood, TX. We have been at

Hubby-Ft Hood,TX 89-92 Me-Carswell AFB,TX 89-92
Baumholder,Germany 93-96
Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD 96-98
Fort Hood,TX 98-Present
on orders for Fort Knox currently!

I am also a prior Army brat and have been to Fort Sill, Fort Bragg, Munich Germany, Fort Campbell and Korea!

DH is Air National Guard, activated since March of 03. He is at Stewart Air National Guard base in Newburgh, NY. He has been there since '90, did 5 years before that at Griffiss AFB (NY), Hahn AFB (Germany) and George AFB (California). He is a Full Time Technician at Stewart for the ANG, so being activated doesn't change his job at all.

DH is stationed at Fairchild AFB in WA right now (we just moved.) He'll be heading overseas (location TBA) at the end of August for a 45-day tour.

We've been to:
ROTC unit in VA (three hours from Langley, but that was our Home Base)
Columbus AFB in Mississippi
Altus AFB in Oklahoma
and now Fairchild...all in two years!

We are stationed at Ft. Cambell, Ky. This is my first station with my husband. He has been stationed:

Fort Bragg
Germany
Fort Campbell
Iraq and about to be Iraq again

My DH is currently serving a 13 month deployement but we have been stationed here for about 15 years (cross training and the survival school has kept us here)

Now when I was growing up, my dad was also AF and we hit many of the bomber bases:

Riverside, CA
Fairchild, WA
Minot, ND
and a few repeats!

I'm an active reservist now, though I was normal active duty for 4 years and an AF brat before that. With my mom we went to:

Keesler AFB, Mississippi
Cannon AFB, New Mexico (HORRIBLE)
RAF Lakenheath, England (Wonderful!)
Andrews AFB, Maryland (good)

When I went active:
Lackland, TX for basic
Keesler for Tech School
Fairchild (hated it)
Saudi Arabia
United Arab Emerates

Now I am an active reservist working on MacDill AFB in Florida...I Love it here!

Familiar with Lakenheath. I visted there a few times when my Father was stationed at RAF Alconbury

My Father's last posting was at Cannon (he retired in 82), and he still lives in Clovis

We are currently at Ft Drum, NY. DH is an USAF TACP attached to the Army. We have only lived in two places so far, but give us time as it's only been about 2.5 yrs. Besides here, we lived at Hurlbert Field in FL for DH tech school. DH is currently in Iraq for a second time. Hopefully he will be home in time for Christmas, but only time will tell. Hello to all the other military out there and hope everything is going good for ya'll.

Hi Everyone! I never knew this board exsisted on DIS until tonight. Anyways I am Kelly and we currently are stationed at Ramstein AB Germany. Previously we were at Offutt AFB, NE, Nellis AFB, NV, Washington DC, Keesler AFB, MS, and Maxwell AFB, AL.
