Activities at Saratoga Springs Resort

We are staying at SSR in April (the week before Easter) and not planning to do any parks. Our passes expired and we’d like to relax, hang out at the resort, and do some of the out-of-park things we never get to during our usual trips.

What are your favorites activities at Saratoga Springs Resort? Is there a Community Center? Any hidden gems on the property? Favorite pool and why? Favorite spot to eat? Thanks!

There is a community center, very nice. We made pillows. Ceramics are fun too. There is an arcade, but we didn't go in it. The pool right by the carriage house is great! We all loved it. My boys like to play pool in the lounge attached to the Turf Club restaurant. At 4pm the bar opens, nice room with couches and large television. And of course the boat ride to Disney Springs with tons more to do.

Walk the nature trail from SSR to OkW for dinner at olivias and then take boat to DS. Lots of wildlife!
Sunrise yoga at the community Center. Enjoy!!

Pools at the Springs and Paddock are both great (Paddock pool was warmer). The community hall is very nice. You could always take a DVC tour (free ice cream) but beware because every time we do that we add more points! Agree that the boat to Disney Springs is a plus.

The best activity we have done is decorating cupcakes -- How can you pass up free cupcakes? Anyhow, they don't always offer that, so good luck it is around when you are visiting.

The ceramics take a couple of days before you can pick them up. There's a spa too!

If I recall correctly, they do have the Surrey Bikes for rent. They have a nightly marshmallow roast and movie (similar to the rest of the DVC resorts). We like taking the boat ride down to Port Orleans and just walking around there a bit. If any of you are golfers, there's always the LBV golf course.
