I am so proud of my daughter, Emily. She wanted to be a Scooby Doo character for Halloween. She wasn't sure which one. I figured Scooby or Daphne would be her choice.
Today she told me that she wants to be Velma. So I said, "why not Daphne"?
Her reply was " Dad, it is much better to be smart than pretty"!
That just gave me a warm feeling inside. I must be doing something right......
So then I told her " Em, you're awesome. You are smart AND pretty". She just smiled and said "Dad, I love you".
It doesn't get any better!
She is 5.
