We’re planning a trip with 2 families of 3 in a 2 bedroom. Two adults and one child per family, kids 6 and 3.

Ideally, we would be able to put the kids to bed in our respective rooms and then 4 adults relax in the living room for a couple of hours before bed.
Looking at the floor plans it seems there will always have to be a child sleeping in the living area as the all only have 1 king bed in master bed room. Some have 5 beds in lock off studio, but it feels strange for one kid to sleep in the other family’s room.

how heavy are chair beds in kidani? Can they be dragged to master bedroom?

We’re considering tree houses, but don’t plan on driving, and they seem out of the way...

How do you figure this?

The Kidani (and Jambo, BLT, and OKW) twin-size chair beds in the living room are both very heavy and wide and cannot be moved to a bedroom. All DVC 2BRs at WDW have only a king in the master bedroom. If issue is putting kids to bed and adults staying up late in living room, then one option is to put the two kids in the second bedroom and adults in the master and the pull-out queen couch in the living room (or at Riviera, and now partially at SSR, the pull down Murphy bed where the couch is).

I would suppose your other option is to have the single child share the king bed in the master bedroom with one couple, or bring an inflatable for the floor of the master. In the second bedroom, in a lock-off there will be a queen and a sofabed, and in a dedicated there are two queens. So you're really only dealing with one child.

But yes. In a 2BR, to get full capacity there will always be people sleeping in the living area.

DVC has asked guests not to move the furniture into other rooms. Plus that sleeper chair is really heavy and wide. That means the floor and walls can be damaged with moving that chair. Then you have to move the furniture around in the bedroom to find a space to put it. Just bring your own air bed for the child in the master bedroom.

Thanks, I think that’s what we’ll do x
