There was a programme on UK TV this week called "The busiest train station in the world" and it was about Shinjuku. Watching this has made us re-evaluate our hotel choice for Tokyo. We have decided to cancel the Hilton Tokyo and stay at the Hotel Metropolitan Edmont in Iidabashi where we stayed before. We can avoid Shinjuku at rush hour and I don't have to worry about being shoved onto a train.
So this decided we have saved around £400 by doing this. It's my birthday on our last night in Tokyo and we thought it would be good to splash out on a nice birthday meal somewhere that is hopefully quite kid friendly. Tokyo has so many fab places to eat - do you have any recommendations for a special meal?
