Bonnet Creek??

We were down for the Food and Wine Fest a couple of weeks ago and several times discussions came up about Bonnet Creek. I really had heard nothing on it before,so found it interesting that most of the people mentioning Bonnet Creek were saying that they couldn't find out anything about it. I knew this board would be able to provide answers....so, what is Bonnet Creek, who owns its, etc.? Just really curious, thanks.

Bonnet Creek is a new timeshare development by Fairfield near the Boardwalk and Carribean Beach. It is on property that is inside Walt Disney World, but not Disney property. It is not a Disney Resort and does not have access to Disney benefits like transportation, extra magic hours, early entry, package delivery,etc. I have heard it advertised as being part of Disney, but it's not.

The story that I heard is that the owner of the property would not sell to Disney. Fairfield bought the property, has opened up the 1st. phase of it's development and is planning on expanding. There are people around with much more info on this, but that is the basics. Fairfield is different than DVC and does their points differently.

jackmac provided a good overview. The Bonnet Creek Resort is NOT on WDW property, but does enjoy immediate access to the WDW roadways. It is a Fairfield Resort - here is a link to information about Bonnet Creek.

The resort is located over 1/2 mile back from the WDW roadway and cannot be seen without driving back to it's entrance. I have been back to the resort and was not overly impressed with the layout. I have not toured the facilities, but understand that the villas are nicely appointed.
