Can Someone Let Family Member Use Their Credits

Large family group. All have dining plan. Grandparent's flight isn't until late the night of arrival so they won't be using dining credits that night. They are also going offsite during the day for 2 days. On the days they won't be onsite except to sleep can they give their Magic Bands to someone else in the group to use so they can have an extra sit down meal?

Are the grandparents' staying in the same room as someone else? If so, no need to get their Magic Bands. If not, then yes.

Not staying in same room. They have one on their own. So, if they get their kids' (not us btw but cousins) magic bands on a day they know they won't be using credits it's ok? Of course someone will be back at the resort to give them their bands back so they can enter their room.

You are allowed to use credits for anyone you want to. Just make sure whoever is using the credits when the grandparents are not there has their PIN number. You need to enter that every time you use the magic band for a transaction.

As gizfish said, make sure whoever has the band also has the PIN assigned to it, or they'll be out of luck.

Two things though:

One, make sure you've counted the number of credits correctly. It goes by NIGHTS you stay. It would be sad for them to get to the end of the trip and be out of credits.

Two, I'm wondering if the band hasn't been scanned to enter a park, will it still allow you to charge the credits at a restaurant inside the park??? You can't do this to get extra FP+, but not sure if that extends to dining plan credits. You may want to start another thread with that specific question or maybe someone will come along with actual experience.
