Uh, oh. Doing like me? (And a lot of people) and eating away your self isolation time?

I like savory over sweet popcorn so that's why I do that cart over Canada but their popcorn is great too! And it smells so good!

Hmmm...
I go back and forth. Depends on my mood. Sometimes I want straight butter/salt. Sometimes caramel. Sometimes cheddar. Sometimes Chicago mix.

I hope so too. It's inevitable though, the younger generation won't understand "vintage" Epcot and soo they will be taking over the world...oh wait, no they were at the beach partying during a pandemic.

I don't mind new. Or change. (Within reason... if anyone tries to take down HM, there's gonna be trouble!)
But... yeah, this whole generation are too busy licking toilets and partying together. I presume we'll have to wait for the next generation.

Well, chop chop get things going, not everyone is gonna wait around for an Epic Boys trip now, right?

Actually, there is. There's a DISdads convention every year, but... I have my reasons for not wanting to do that.

Speaking of meant-to-be - we were chilling inside Baseline Taphouse waiting for our time to enter, and someone came up to me and told me that she LOVED my costume from the event last night.
Apparently there was a Club 33 special event the night before to celebrate GE's opening, and apparently I was there and wearing some elaborate Queen Amidala costume or something like that.

Well, look at you all mingling with the upper crust.

next time this happens I'm gonna just own it and say, YES, that was ME at that exclusive party! Maybe I can just slide my way into the next event because I really was meant to be there!

I'm hearing a lot of good things about Wine Bar George's brunch. Steve's steak and eggs looked delicious!

That story of someone thinking you were someone else is really funny. I've actually done that to someone and I was so embarrassed.

Sorry about the dishwasher. Why can't things just run smoothly? And why do appliances break so easily these days? I swear my mother had the same washer, dryer, etc. for thirty years!

My husband and I are both working from home. I miss my students and would much rather be at school than home. Not sure when and if we'll be going back this year. The important thing is that everyone stays healthy.

My June trip has been cancelled and like so many others, I could really use my happy place right now.

As an entree, I got what I had last time, the Burrata served with avocado, candied bacon, and grilled toast. It also has some frisee and tomatoes. It's a wonderful dish! Chunkydust had this too and it got a thumbs up as well!

To start we shared the Crispy Mac n Cheese bites, served with tomato sauce and pecorino. They were good and cheesy but not heavy.

Trip #2 Day 3 Part 2: We're Back in Batuu!

Entering Batuu again within a week of our first visit was sooo cool! The biggest difference between the two previews was that this preview had literally no one around (oh and they had nice little ice water dispensing stations too lol). Being able to wander around Galaxy's Edge like it was your own backyard is an amazing thing.

It allowed a lot more time to get photopass pics because there weren't any lines to contend with!

We of course first headed towards Smuggler's Run. There was no line at all!

I said out loud: Wow we could go on this like 7 times!
I randomly threw out the number 7 because I didn't think we could ride it more than last time (which was 3 times).

SPOILER: We did! By the end of the preview we went on Smuggler's Run 7 times!! That is crazy! We'd often get the entire cockpit to ourselves and we were experimenting pressing everything and anything, hahaha.

An hour into the preview, a small crowd had started to form:

We tried some blue milk, finally, which I did NOT like! I thought the taste was very artificial.
I'd rather have just drunk milk that was blue-tinted, LOL. Maybe the spiked one would be better but i guess it just dilutes the taste with alcohol!
(OK so I had it again at Oga's Cantina another time and I found it not as appalling, it's just a drink I wouldn't normally order. And no I don't like the green milk any better!)

Speaking of drinks, Oga's Cantina was open but not serving anything, probably due to the low crowds. But you were welcome to hang out inside and explore. So we got our blue milks and hung out inside to get away from the heat for a bit.

We went to check out the First Order Area:

I always find it so funn whey they ask me to look angry or serious. I'm seriously trying to stifle a laugh!

As it got later into the evening, perhaps after our 5th run, we decided to check out some food over at Docking Bay 7 so we headed back to the Mellenium Falcon.

Inside Docking Bay 7:

We looked at the menu and it all sounded quite good actually. I ended up with the Braised Shaak Roast – beef pot roast served with cavatelli pasta, wilted kale, and mushrooms. Steve and Chunkydust got the Fried Endorian Tip-yip – crispy chicken served with roasted vegetable potato mash and herb gravy.

Here's our entrees on the tray. We also got a Sour Sarlaccc which was surprisingly very sweet, yet tart. Hard to explain but it was pretty good.

Here's the Tip Yip Chicken:

It was good, the fried chicken tender was nice and it seems to be a nice "safe" meal. My Shaak roast was actually really good! It was the most tender short ribs, with pasta covered with a demi glaze, wilted mushrooms and kale. It was so flavorful and rich, and I was actually really impressed that this came from a quick service. Aside from Satuli Canteen's chicken bowl, this could be my new tie for best quick service entree! At 18 bucks though, it is NOT cheap but it seems to be a quality cut of meat and it does taste like something from a table service as opposed to quick service.

The pasta was perfectly al dente and everything went well together and I liked they had kale in it so I could feel like I got some greens, lol. There really wasn't a ton of it. Overall a very yummy meal!

We headed to the marketplace area and we tried some of the colorful popcorn. It is gross. It tasted like dry styrofoam with spicy fruit loop powder on top. We tried to give it to people but we had to try a few times as most people didn't want it. We then gave it to some unsuspecting family over near Docking Bay 7 who probably have never tried it before, LOL.

I'm sure we did some of our final rides on SR at this point. The skies got darker and I really enjoyed seeing everything lit up! I think it is exceptionally cool to see the Millenium Falcon with it's lights and everyone with their lightsabers!

I agree they were strange tasting, not something I'd order regularly or be able to drink a lot of. The people behind us when we were trying the regular ones had the alcoholic versions and they seemed to think the alcohol made it taste more like nothing, but I have heard that some people think the alcohol improves them.

Umm, it tasted like dish soap to me with a fruity Pebbles taste mixed in. But, I did like the green milk.

That looks seriously good! The whole brunch did actually! I'm sad that we didn't really get to do many meals at DS on this past trip due to you know, the appocalypse and all..sigh. We had an ADR there that we never got to use.

Ah, back in the days when Droid Depot wasn't a terrifying mad house and people could come visit me at Transactors 1 & 2. Gosh, those preview days were so nice. So glad I got to meet you all! You were real lucky catching me, especially in Droid which I very seldom am in.

I didn't even realize during that one that Oga's wasn't operating. Interesting. Also, as a native Batuuan, pop-grain is just not great. It is... strange. Tip-yip is supreme and so is Green Milk, although you seem to not be a fan of either colored milk lol.

Fun fact, the Sour Sarlacc no longer exists. People complained that there weren't any alcohol options elsewhere in the land aside from Oga's so they added alcohol and it's now the Surly Sarlacc. I still find it hard to believe they have alcohol in it all the times I've tried it since the change.

Oh, man that's a heck of a blow. I don't know what I'll do if my dishwashers ever break. They're the fancy kind hidden behind matching panels in the kitchen so I suspect I won't be able to go up to Lowe's and just order one if they ever go out. That is unless I want to drastically change the look of my kitchen!

I am sure that was the first time you met Andi! It was fun to ride FoP with you and Steve. We, of course, had to do a Chunkydump!
I haven’t tried any of the milks yet but I totally agree with you on the popcorn, gross, don’t buy it!
How cool to ride SR 7 times! I love all your pictures around GE and the food looks good!

That's what our first preview was like, except we went on SR first and I think the ride broke down while we were in line so the first time we waited 45 minutes, but once we got off the ride it was nearly empty.

I said out loud: Wow we could go on this like 7 times!
I randomly threw out the number 7 because I didn't think we could ride it more than last time (which was 3 times).

I don't think I could physically handle riding it that many times. I think three would be my max. Even though it's fun, the ride is very jarring.

I wonder if the West Coast version has this. I guess it will be a long time before I can check this out.

All they had to do was tell me it was 50% rice milk and 50% coconut milk and I was out. No way.

I've wanted to try this one, but they weren't serving it at lunch at the time. I think they added it to the menu all the time, but we haven't been back at a mealtime since then.
