Disney focusing too much on other lands instead of the U.S

Are they or should start focusing more on U. S again?
I don’t quite understand where you are coming from. I think they have plenty of focus on US as well as overseas. Someone pointed out, Disneyland Paris is the only Disney park that hasn’t had a high profile expansion/attraction or is planning to have one in the near future. It seems work is always planned over here in some way or another. And each park has its own budget and operations.

I agree about Disneyland Paris being the one that gets left behind. Its had a very different history than other Disney parks for most of its existence, which has impacted on everything from park maintenance and staff levels to ride upgrades and land expansions.

The USA parks on the other hand are very well looked after. You just need to go to the Disneyland Paris section here on DIS and read all the trip reports from Americans who are used to the American parks. The majority of Americans who visit Disneyland Paris come away with a negative view and realise that the American parks are actually very well looked after in all aspects.

US parks recent updates;
- Toy Storyland update
- Galaxys Edge
- Epcot updates (entrance, Ratatouille, Mary Poppins etc)
- new Epcot show at night
- Epcot discovery, celebration, nature and Guardians of the galaxy ride plus Moana adventure
- Mickey Runaway railway
- Tron
- new parade for 2020 announced tor Disneyland
- Cirque de Soleil new show at Disney Springs
- Avengers campus
- Starcruiser hotel

Yep, Disney have definitely been neglecting the US parks. 🤣

Are they or should start focusing more on U. S again?

The only Disney parks that are fully owned by Disney are Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Disneyland Paris is finally under Disney control, so they are investing two billion euros to expand the Walt Disney Studios and the minority partner there is going along with Disney on investments and management.

Hong Kong Disneyland is majorily owned by the Hong Kong government, Shanghai Disneyland by Shendi, so any decisions there is based on negociations and not just Disney saying to invest or not.

Tokyo Disney is fully owned and operated by the Oriental Land Company (OLC). OLC decides what they want to do as long as it respects the agreement with Disney for the IP's and use Walt Disney Imagineering to design things. Hence, Soarin' went from an erector set look in the US to an incredibly themed attraction that is as beautifully done as Pirates or Mansion in its style at Tokyo DisneySea.
