Disney Magic European Sailings

We will notify guests should itinerary changes be necessary.
  • Guests currently booked on our European sailings through our July 25 departure can change their reservation up until the day before embarkation and receive a 100% cruise credit to be used for future sailing within 15 months of their original sail date by calling us at 1-866-325-2112 or 407-566-3510 or contacting their travel agent. The credit is non-refundable and standard prevailing rates will apply.
  • Alternatively, Guests currently booked on our July 13, July 18 and July 25, 2020, European sailings may delay their final payment to 30 days prior to their sailing.

WHAT A RELIEF! We had booked an alternate cruise for next summer JUST in case things fell through for our Med cruise this year. I was so pleased this morning when we received the below from NCL. Great news! Pasted a portion below:

Dear Valued Guests and Travel Partners,
To provide you with peace of mind, I want to take this opportunity to personally update you on what we are doing at Norwegian Cruise Line to help ensure you have a safe, healthy and happy vacation experience with your friends and family.
As you know, the safety and well-being of our guests and team members are our number one priority. We have a Chief Medical Officer on staff as well as dozens of medical professionals throughout our fleet , and we continue to consult with The World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to make the best decisions possible and take appropriate action as needed. We are very proud of the protocols and preventative measures we have in place to deal with current concerns regarding COVID-19, and I firmly believe that we have some of the most robust measures in place to protect our guests and team members.
In addition to extensive cleaning and disinfection protocols on board all voyages and health screenings of passengers and crew members, we have been denying boarding to guests who have traveled from, visited or transited via high risk areas; and we have modified several sailings to avoid areas of concern. At the current time, our plans are to avoid any area that is denoted as a ‘Level 4 - do not travel’ area by the State Department at the time of voyage. We will modify any itinerary visiting those areas approximately 30 days prior to arrival date to avoid last minute changes. As always, we will continue to monitor all State Department advisories and take appropriate action as necessary. For all our policies and procedures, please visit www.ncl.com.
Additionally, I want to provide our guests and travel partners with reassurance, so I am very pleased to announce our new Peace of Mind policy. Simply put, for any voyage from March 10, 2020 through September 30, 2020, guests are free to cancel anytime up to 48 hours in advance of embarkation. Please note that this new policy applies to individual and group bookings only. Anyone choosing to cancel will receive a full refund in the form of a future cruise credit to be used for sailings that embark through December 31, 2022. This is by far the most consumer-friendly policy in the industry. We put our guests first!

Wow! December 2022!!

RCL did great and NCL did even better. I'm really hoping Princess comes around and updates their update. We're sailing in June and they changed the PIF from 90 days to 60 days. Looks like nothing compared with NCL and RCL!

Well, these companies need to remember that customer will return to those who make their lives less stressful and put the customer first. This says A lot about NCL and makes me want to use them again. Even though this would be our first time to cruise with them. Makes a person want to be loyal to that brand! Now we’ll see what American does. If they don’t flex, that’s fine...but I’ll merely put it in the back of my mind and likely choose another airline in the future. *wink*

We LOVE NCL! I waited and waited for their British Isles itineraries to be released last year but, unfortunately, they only has September dates. We're sailing with our 13 year old, so we needed summer. We've been on 4 NCL cruises and have always had a great time.

on the 8/5 8 night northern europe/ I was hoping to stick it out and see but my family is jittery--- and my parents are coming with us and they are in their 70s. So we are cancelling. We have plane tix already so may just do land explorations or opt to change our flights if possible...just dont want to be stuck on a ship and quarantined. Especially since my vacation is unpaid as it is!!!

August is 5 months from now, I wouldn’t make any firm decisions just yet, especially if your airfare in non refundable. If your cruise were March/April it’s decision time. A lot can happen in 5 months.

Our trip is early May and we aren’t deciding until mid April.

I have that problem too. Well it’s just me my husband and my son... haha! My husband wants to cancel for Spain this July, I want to wait and see,.. We’re probably going to move it but there are flights and non refundable hotels too. Things are changing so quickly that I think the wait and see method works as long as you can.

Well, Princess first have to fix their own problems - i.e. do a better job at keeping their ships away from the virus!

Why don't you wait and see if Disney extends the cancellation policy? 5 months is a long time from now. A lot could change.

We canceled our 12 night mediterranean cruise with RCCL today that we had booked for July 2020. We were worried that ports might be canceled or we would not be able to see all of the things in the ports we did get to. We will do this itinerary another time. We are a family of three including our DS8. We booked this trip for the ports.

I just called Delta to see if I could cancel my Sept flights to Rome. There has been a significant schedule change essentially making it impossible to make my connection so I was hoping I could cancel without a penalty. Unfortunately I was unable to cancel without forfeit of all of the miles I used so I will leave the reservation in place and see if they extend the cancellation waivers they current have for Italy.
I did email my TA to cancel my cruise for September. I am sure they are very busy right now.

Delta just announced more adjustments to their policy - I would try calling again if you haven't resolved this yet.

I'm on the July 25th NE cruise and am allowed to not pay in full until 30 days out now (which I'll probably do since it is a chunk of money). If I delay payment, does this mean I can't book any excursions/activities when it opens up in April? Also, do I need to call Disney or just let the PIF date pass? I've tried calling a couple times and received a busy signal (never mind getting in the queue). Rescheduling it not really an option due to multiple families, celebratory trip, etc. So it is either go or cancel.

I am on that cruise too and was also wondering about that. I am so hoping that four months from now that things will be better. If you find out, can you post?
