After a horrible few months where DH's dad died and I've been diagnosed with leukemia, we feel the need for a relaxing vacation; just the two of us minus the kids. While WDW is my favorite spot on the planet, even I must admit it is not the most relaxing place to visit. The DH likes ,no make that LOVES, to fish so I'd like to ask if anyone has ever done that at WDW and how was it?Can someone help me to fit it in to our vacation somehow? We will be staying offsite although we would like to do the fishing in disney itself. Can anyone help?! <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused">

We have been to WDW 15x's and on several occations my sons have gone fishing. It is expensive if you go on the larger boats and have a driver. This can be done at Fort Wilderness or Yacht/Beach Club. The drivers are always friendly and know the best spots. Go early in the moring this way you have the rest of the day to play or sleep in the sun or even both. Maybe you just want to go out on you your own. Rent a boat or the old fishing hole at Dixie Landings this way is less expensive. This is what I know about fishing I hope it helps some. We are going to WDW in Sept. hope you have a great time. My oldest, now 16, was diagnosed with ALL, Leukemia two years ago. My prays are with you and your family. Moderen medicine is remarkable. He is doing great as I guess you must be if planning a vaction to WDW, as you said it is not a relaxing trip. Very exciting and so much fun, it is my favorite place also. Yes Go fishing and have a great time. :)
