Hi there!

I am going to need to book 2 seats to Orlando, from Boston, for next July. Does anyone know when the prices might be the best for this route? I know that about $200 per person is average. When do you suggest booking a flight for July. How far in advance? Thanks!

SeaSpray:

Are you flying out of Logan to get on a specific carrier for miles or anything? If not, you are close enough to give TF Green a look. We are flying at the end of Jan non stop on Southwest for $150 R/T.

I am not sure when the summer fare sales will hit, but the flights out of Logan have not been below $200 in a long while (I kept looking while playing the SWA waiting game).

Just another option, to give a look at TF Green.

Last June I did the reverse, flew from Orlando to Boston and booked my flight about a month before. The fare that I paid was $160.00. It was on Delta and I booked directly on their website since expedia had the same flight for about $10.00 more.

Use http://www.travelocity.com

http://www.orbitz.com

http://www.delta.com

http://www.aa.com

If you have to fly out of Boston I'd start watching now and grab the first flight you can find between $150 and $220. Use the top two websites to find good fares. They'll notify you by email and then check the airlines website directly and book through them.

I use American for frequent flyer miles but Delta has nore flights to Orlando MCO.

Tf Green in Providence, Bradley in Hartford area and Manchester are less hassle than Boston if it is convenient for you,

Well, I can't speak for Logan, but we booked our flights for July 2003 back in October. We usually book it in August, so this was late for us. We have very specific days and times to fly, so for us booking far out works better. If you are more flexible with your dates, then you can wait a bit.

We got a $182 RT direct NS out of LaGuardia. It has been cheaper than Newark the last several years. :):D:)

I too wondered when to book our air. We are flying from Hartford (we live in western MA) the end of June thru July 6th. We fly Delta because they go direct, which is important to us. I booked for $250 rt pp. which is the cheapest for any listed airline for that time, although it is the most we have paid in a long time. In fact, the flights we are booked on are already sold out for the $250 fare. Wanted to try SW but they only take reservation no earlier than 4 months in advance. I suppose if your flexible on your dates and times, you could take a chance.
