Disney Bus Collides With Car In Orange County

A Walt Disney World bus collided with a car in Orange County, Fla., Thursday reportedly injuring at least one person, according to Local 6 News.

The wreck happened just before noon at World Drive and Topiary Drive.

Witnesses said that there are several victims in connection with the crash but the extent of their injuries is not known

We actually saw the accident scene yesterday. We were boarding the monorail from TTC to the Magic Kingdom to get in a couple rides before leaving for the airport. The monorail was delayed because they had to cut off the power in order to allow a medical helicopter to land safely on the road about a half mile up. Once the helicopter took off, power was restored to the monorail and we were on our way. I'm not sure about the injuries. There was a Disney bus on the shoulder and a couple cars about 50-100 yards behind it. From our angle it didn't look really bad, but maybe someone wasn't wearing a seatbelt, or maybe someone was thrown on the bus. Hope everyone was o.k.

UGGGGHHH... That article is poorly written. The car collided with the bus... NOT the other way around.

This is what happened.

A Disney bus was leaving the Magic Kingdom, and headed down World Drive southbound. A passenger car came flying around the corner, quite possibly speeding, lost control, came over into the oncoming lane. The bus driver tried to swerve out of the way, and avoided a head on collision... However, the car did slam into the side of the bus, and tore off many of the panels. Someone from the car had to be airlifted to the hospital because one of those panels came through the windshield.

There were 5 passengers on the bus... They were not injured.
