Hot Breakfast including resorts, is it still a hot breakfast, now?

There is a well known casino in Vegas who came up with an idea for their buffet to continue. You get a complete list at your table of the food items available for your selection from the buffet. Then, you pick and mark the buffet list with your choices. Next, the server will take your food list and then your items are plated for you. The plate is brought back to your table for you to enjoy. You never leave the table. You can do this as many times as you want.

This sounds like a huge improvement over a traditional buffet - covid or not. I would gladly pay a bit more and tip well for the service.

Even before all this I was sketched out by some buffets. We pretty much gave them up like 10 years ago after my wife and son got sick after a trip to Ryan’s. We think it was the ranch dressing. Gross. Not to mention how nasty some people are - just completely unaware of their unhygienic habits. Nose wiping, open coughing, licking fingers etc.
Always made an exception at Disney though. We love Boma and Biergarten especially

We have stayed in 3 hotels since Covid started, the last time 3 weeks ago. Managers reception and even cash bars were not open. "Free hot breakfast" which was advertised with a picture of bacon and eggs was granola bar and water was what we were offered.

I am at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, VA and they are doing a limited hot breakfast, about 5 different items.

We have recently stayed at a Comfort Suites near Universal. At some point in the day, they slide a menu under your door with the food options and pick up times. You then call the information in to the front desk and go down their to pick your food up in the morning at the requested time. Everything is pre-packaged, with the "main" items requiring the use of a microwave (there is one in all the rooms there). Although the available items vary a little bit, the attached picture is an example from last month.

Thanks for the picture of the menu. I like this approach.
