How busy is OKW second 1/2 of Jan?

So our offer was accepted for a resale at OKW and we sent back our contract all signed yesterday and are waiting for the sellers to return their portion. I imagine by the time it gets thru if it gets thru it will be another 6 weeks or more before we have access to our points. Will it be difficult to get a 1 bedroom for the week starting MLK weekend? That is the week of our 20th wedding anniversary and want to spend it at WDW

It is likely that you may have about two months before you will be able to make a reservation. The contract has to go through Disney's right of first refusal and then through closing and that can take a couple months total. That means you will likely be beyond the 7 month window when many things that are still left disappear. However, you should still have a good chance for an OKW 1BR for that time period since that time of year is not a high DVC demand time (and that includes MLK weekend).

Ok great we can always do a split stay if needed but prefer not to.
