Here's a question for all you Orlando regulars. How do you rate the usefulness (or otherwise) of the Orlando FlexTicket? Is it a must-buy when you are in town, only a 50-50 deal or do you not even know about it? (if you're in the latter category, the FlexTicket provides 14 days of unlimited access to Universal's two parks, SeaWorld and Wet 'n Wild, plus, in the case of the 5-park version, Busch Gardens; all for less than the combined cost of single-day access to all of them). So here's a chance to Flex your voting muscles (groan!):

Hi, Simon! my OTHER Partner in Crime :D

The APs fits my way of doing Orlando. I have the AP for IOA/USF AND SW and BG.

I've never considered the Flex ticket because of it's length of time and I don't ever go to WetnWild.

So, I voted "Don't know it"

Exactly how much are these Flex tickets?

I am trying to move away from 'home' (WDW) :D and learning all I can about other Orlando attractions.

Muushka, the 4-park ticket is currently $168 and the 5-park one is $202 on ticketmania.com, a saving of $15 and $32 respectively on buying single-day admission at each of the parks - and it is valid for 14 consecutive days!

Thanks for the info SimonV. Worth look into if I ever run out of AP for USF (got them at such a great rate we are set for the next 4 years!)

Flextickets dont make much sense for locals or return travellers, in that case APs make much more sense (especially at WDW).

For Foreigners like myself or those of us who can visit only one a year or once in a lifetime, flextickets make perfect sense if you have planned 3 or more days outside of Disney to visit Universal. IOA, Seaworld, Wet'n'Wild and Busch Gardens. Because of the 14 day life, when we visited Orlando last (10 days Disney, 5 days Universal) we activated our flex ticket midway through our disney stay, had lunch in IOA and still got back to enjoy a great afternoon at Blizzard Beach. When we switched from WDW to HRH, we used our activated Flextickets for a day at Busch Gardens then during our 5 nights at the HRH used to enter IOA/US multiple time (twice a day for three days) and visit Seaworld. When we due to leave we still had 4 days availiable but by accessing all these parks plus Citywalk clubs at night, we got more than we paid for.

However saying that, I would weigh the costs up against day admission costs, number of times you would visit an attraction. Remember it is unlimited access to those attractions for 14 days from first activation but will usually pay for itself over 3 or 4 park visits!
