How far of a walk to Hard Rock Cafe?

How far of a walk is it to the Hard Rock Cafe from the front gate at either Universal or IOA? Can you make reservations, or is it walk up only? Thanks!

It's about a 1-2 minute walk...not very far at all. Not sure about reservations.

You don't need to make reservations. I'm not sure if HRC even takes them.

Sherry, if you are planning on eating at the Hard Rock Cafe and you aren't staying at an onsite hotel you need to make reservations. If you don't you'll will be stuck waiting up to 2hrs depending on the day and crowds. We had to wait about 15min outside while were staying at the HRH then once we got inside we had to wait another 30min, if you weren't staying at a hotel you had to wait an 1hr outside and then the same 30min inside. BTW HRC is by far the most popular place at City Walk and the food and setting are superb besides from the wait I'm sure you'll love it.

If you take the little-known exit from USF near Nickelodeon Studios, then you are less than half a minute from the front door of HRC.

A tip: If it's just one or two people, try eating at the bar. Usually, you can tell the doorman that you're going to the bar and be ushered right in. The bar serves the full food menu and the location can't be beat.

Something neat to look for: it's not the "main" entrace to Hard Rock Cafe; I think maybe when we exited USF to eat at HRC we might have used the exit by Nickelodeon mentioned above---there's an actual piece of the Berlin wall outside the HRC! Pretty neat! Also, if you eat early (we got there 4:30/4:45), there's basically no wait.
