If time and transportation were sports we'd never make the playoffs; 2018 spr. break TR *new TR!*

7 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And now even fewer!!!

Cute, cute, CUTE!!

I LOVE these shirts. They're so soft and I think the designs are adorable. Unfortunately they were huge!!! I've so far tried shrinking them twice and while it's helped, we kind of still look like we're swimming in them. Steve said he doesn't care but I don't really like the way mine looks so not sure if I'll wear it. I just wanted something Halloween-y for the party.

I'm so bummed you aren't happy and it was a purchase bust. :( That's so disappointing and frustrating.

I LOVE this print! My legs are too flabby for me to attempt, but it is cute!

At this point we moved to the 2nd level and came across some of those really OLD coin operated rides they used to have in the malls. I don't even think they work but they haven't taken them out. Well strapped into one of them was our friend, Princess Anna:

img_8480-jpg.349028

Ummmmm! That super creepy.

I was also thinking I could wear my Snow White Cherry Tree Lane dress?

Yes, you could!!! I get that hot and heavy downside though.

My sister ordered us all matching tees on Etsy for our girl's trip last June and every one of them was way too small. So, needless to say, no one wore them. My tee made me look like I had porn boobs. LOL!!!
:rotfl:I hope you kept it to wear for Joe :rolleyes1

I love that mall...I'm 40 minutes from there also but in the other direction.
I love it, too, even though many of the stores are the same (but also they have quite a few different ones than we have here) the ones that are the same are bigger there. Plus it's the closest Cheesecake Factory to us. Enough said :D

We got our MNSSHP costumes from there and apparently our bodies grew as quickly as the Grinch's heart on Christmas morning so we have had to go to plan B.
Oh no lol! I'm sure plan B. is fine. when are you going to MNSSHP?

Love your new Disney haul!! I think that close up of the pattern on the Minnie skirt with the little hidden Mickeys is just adorable :)
:thanks: I didn't end up finding a shirt I really like to go with it, and not totally thrilled with the one I have, but it'll do for now and I'l continue to hunt for another one and hopefully wear it again on our Nov. trip :goodvibes

I love the Halloween shirts. It is a shame that they are the wrong size. We've stopped ordering Disney shirts on line. The sizes are never right.
I think this will be our last time. Luckily I managed to shrink them enough that they're wearable, but it's not worth the $$ to have to do that.

Our Disney store closed ages ago. Probably a good thing for my credit card though.
Ours closed YEARS ago, so other than a neat outlet about 35 minutes away this one is the closest actual Disney store.

Safe trip down. We leave tomorrow.
You're there already :cheer2: Hope you and DS are having a blast!

Those shirts are a lot like the ones my family had for MNSSHP, almost the same design.
I believe I remember seeing your shirts in FB pictures :)

I'm thinking I need something HP related to wear to Universal and to HHN but I've got nothing. Oh except my Jurassic Park t-shirt...they will work for the day I guess.
You should try Hot Topic if you have one by you, they have tons of HP stuff!

We will most definitely meet up at Thanksgiving dinner! :)
Absolutely :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Cute! Sorry that they don't fit right.
Well, like I said above, at least I was able to shrink them down to wearable size lol, but it's a lot to pay to have to do that much work!

And I really want the new vera bradely print!
I love that print! I've never had a Vera so maybe I'll pick that up this weekend instead of another Dooney lol

So, is that one of those life size dolls? I hate those things!
Yup, a freaky life size doll

I just got a pair of PJ bottoms from Boxlunch. They're from Christopher Robin and ADORABLE! You should check that place out too (I don't know if they have brick and mortar out where you are or if your only option is online)!
I have never heard of Boxlunch OR Christopher Robin, but I am going to look up both of them, thanks!

I'll have to try one of those…if you promise it'll be better than school bread :P
 As much as I love school bread, I can honestly say yes, Magic Bars ARE better!

Close to me…though I've never been there!
How close? Maybe we can have a shopping DISMeet sometime like @Raeven and I do in Albany!

What the HECK is happening here??:scared1::laughing:
Something pretty un-Disney like, I'll tell ya that much!

And now even fewer!!!
T-minus 48 hours :goodvibes

I LOVE this print! My legs are too flabby for me to attempt, but it is cute!
Um, I never said my legs AREN'T too flabby for this  I wear things in Disney that I would never be seen in at home due to my legs, simply because it's so freakin' hot down there. This skirt and some of my skorts included!

And Then it Was Over
And here we are at the end, finally. I left off having finished up our last, rather uneventful evening at the Wilderness Lodge. Our next morning was pretty much finishing packing, and leaving, because our flight was too early to really do anything. I did manage to take some pictures of some info. that had been left in our room all week:

Grocery order form:

Letter from the GM, whom I would like to now speak with regarding changes at WCC and AP lol:

IMG_8727.JPG

We go the cute cards with Minnie and other characters at WL (remember we're at CCV this particular trip) and I had them at 2 CSR stays, also) and we had the letter from the GM and also a letter from the AP chef when we stayed club level at WL.
We got down to the lobby early enough that I got some early morning, peaceful shots of my beloved WL lobby:

And this one, I LOVE:

IMG_8731.JPG

And......that's it! Some people wrap up their trips with pictures taken from the plane, or landing at their home airport; I always seem to end mine abruptly. So I'll add some final thoughts:

This trip was.....different. It was our first spring break trip and, well, there's a good chance it'll be our last. I don't say that lightly either, because it is RARE that I say I won't go to Disney or tell others not to go. However of all our trips this was by far the most crowded and the hardest to get FP's. I do think that Ricky's healing/injury added to it as we may have done more things when the parks got too crazy instead of just heading back to the room, but either way we would have left the parks.

CCV on the other hand was awesome! WL remains my favorite resort and being on the villas side was no less wonderful.

Dining was great, we enjoyed our meals and were happy changing up some of them on the fly.

Thanks for following along on another one of my reports, and putting up with some long delays! At some point I'll finish up my dining report which only has like one day left, and while I don't think I'll do a TR for our trip starting this Thursday I will do a dining report for that, and I may add somewhat of a PTR for our Nov. trip on to this, so be on the lookout!

Later,Friends

Letter from the GM

At first glance I thought it said the GM name was “The Sargent”

CCV on the other hand was awesome! WL remains my favorite resort and being on the villas side was no less wonderful

That’s great to hear since we’re staying there for the first time in July! Woohoo!

I will do a dining report for that, and I may add somewhat of a PTR for our Nov. trip on to this, so be on the lookout!

Can’t wait to read these! I really enjoyed finding this TR and saved myself from a crazy crowded Spring Break Trip. Phew!

How close? Maybe we can have a shopping DISMeet sometime like @Raeven and I do in Albany!

Yikes…I was thinking it was about an hour but I just put it into maps and it's closer to two hours. I'd still do it!

Great trip report! Kind of a bummer about the bad Spring Break crowds. We go most every year for April vacation, and I never find the crowds too terrible. I think we've been lucky though, and I skipped the one year that our break fell in Easter week. That happens again in 2020, so I'll skip that year too.

Good luck with your air travel and have a magical trip!:wizard:

I SO understand why you wouldn't want to go back for another spring break. I don't think I could do it, just based on what I've heard. Even when we were there over President's Day that was bad enough, and it was nothing like that. Christmas/NYE crowds I can handle because the Christmas theming is awesome....and even Christmas doesn't seem nearly as wild as spring break!

Thanks so much for sharing another trip with us. :lovestruc Can't wait to hear about the next one!

Thanks for the enjoyable report once again! Do you think they are cutting out the antics at WCC because of the people like me, who complained about the loudness in our room? If so I am sorry!

As a TA are those rooms now the only ones that are standard? I would try to stay here again but I would definitely pay more for a different room category!

We have to travel this year 3/23-3/30 because of Andi’s spring break dates, not looking forward to the crowds. I think we will do a dessert party and maybe a few tours so we aren’t just fighting crowds all week!

I love that lion king bag! I think I need it!!!! I also have such a hard time with shirts on Etsy, they are so cute but either too big or too small, and the return policies are not great usually!

Anyways! Have a great trip!!! Can't wait to read about it, assuming you'll do a TR?!

Another great report my friend!!!! Joe and I always swear we will never do spring break either. March was just awful for us too (as you know, because we were there at the same time)...The only reason we went was to see Tim. It worked out best with our schedules.

Have a wonderful stay at the GF! I will be thinking about you...Come back with lots of useful info for me regarding MNSSHP. I may even call you to get the scoop...:sunny:

Great finish..I love WL and only wish we had another stay planned for there as I think it's the one resort we have not visited enough. I was so hoping to book it for later this month for our one night, but it didn't happen.

I am so with you on Spring Break though. I have told many people...just NEVER again. It was just too, too crazy for me...and that's saying a lot since we go at Thanksgiving many years and I'm okay with that crowd.

We finally made it to Wilderness Lodge to walk around last weekend... WOW! We loved it! Might be my next hotel goal :)

I love all of your clothing choices! But you have experienced my fears for ordering off Etsy... I hate not being able to try things on in person or being able to return for free if the size is off or I don't like the look. I HATE when the armpits stick out on tanks like that! Drives me crazy :( I tried my hand at making a few shirts again.

Those Peter Pan shorts are great!
*debates going to Hot Topic tonight...*

I've enjoyed your TR, as always! Hope to see you soon!

These are so cute! Too bad they don't fit!

Since I knew it'd most likely be in the 90's for the party, I also ordered a tank top from Etsy but a different seller:

img_8491-jpg.349021

I love this too!! I wish it fit!
I did the two sizes up with this also and it's not that it's too big all around, it's the freaking armpits. They stick out like two inches on each side and look stupid. I've washed it once and need to try it on again but seriously when wearing it, it looked like it was on a hanger. I'm so disappointed and I'm sure it's not the sellers, it's my stupid body, but I'm just going to stick to shirts I can buy in stores now or in the park.

It's really cute! If the tank is too big, then I'd wear like a black tank underneath, or a sports bra, or something that looks like a tank on top but isn't full length. (I think they might be called Bralettes? I got some from amazon and wear it with tanks that are too low or where the armholes are too big or they are too cut out in the back).

1. The scarf was made for a child, or
2. I have an insanely, ridiculously large neck, because I couldn't even begin to tie this around it :rolleyes1 So I'll probably give it to some friends' daughter lol.

Haha that's so funny. I don't really love things around my neck either. I can wear cowl necks but not turtlenecks.

img_8480-jpg.349028

Looking TOTALLY creepy and a tad disheveled if I do say so, as if someone else had been in the vehicle with her and made a hasty exit.......

That's weird and creepy and totally looks like someone left the doll there just to get rid of it, but also get a few laughs.

Here are my Hot Topic finds:

img_8481-2-jpg.349029

I have this tank too! I didn't bring it on my most recent trip but I think I should have.

img_8484-jpg.349031

It's not Disney but it's soft and comfy and.......Mission: Space? Which I don't ride? Spaceship Earth? Future World? Tomorrowland?
Bueller?
I didn't see anything else and I can't let BOGO GB (go by lol). I figured I can relate it to Disney somehow! Again though, no top to wear with it except the one I'll wear with my red Disney Store Minnie skirt so more reason to shop tomorrow :D

I have a skort like this, it's space themed! I met Star Wars characters with it!

And that was it with one exception, I also bought this really pretty Rapunzel dress in Hot Topic. I think @ArielSRL had posted a picture either here or in our big FB group some of you are part of, it's pink/purple, long, sleeveless, and has the star on the front. Well I got that baby home and tried it on, and looked like a 47 year old pregnant Rapunzel only bad. Like not a pretty Rapunzel getting on in years with an "oops" pregnancy, but just an old lady wearing a dress that didn't fit right because she's pregnant and pregnancy has made her look horrible.
Basically what I'm saying is the dress does not look good.

You are so funny and I'm sure greatly exaggerating in your descriptions. It's probably not as bad as you think it was but we are always our own worst critic.

This trip was.....different. It was our first spring break trip and, well, there's a good chance it'll be our last. It is so hard to find a quiet time at Disney nowadays. But I hear ya on it being very crowded during spring break. We are tentatively scheduled for a weekend in mid March but very unsure of whether or not to keep those dates. I think it is right before the big spring break crowds but I feel nowadays there are many different spring break weeks so you just don't know. This week for you should be great though! After labor day the crowds really died down. Our MNSSHP was pretty nice crowd-wise! Still a long line for the characters though!
Have a great trip!

Aw, sorry your new shirts don't fit. Some brands are just sized weird. That's why I always try to convince those getting shirts from me measure one of the shirts they already have and love to compare to the size chart. Bella Canvas is one brand that seems to run a tad smaller (especially in the crew neck). But I live your Hot Topic finds. My daughter needs the space themed skirt because she is in school for astrophysics with a minor in astronomy.

What a wonderful TR! Thanks for your time and effort in writing for us!

Um, I never said my legs AREN'T too flabby for this  I wear things in Disney that I would never be seen in at home due to my legs, simply because it's so freakin' hot down there. This skirt and some of my skorts included!

Point taken.... but I still think you pull it off well!

Just beautiful!

I can see that. I've done Spring Break at DLR once. I doubt I'd do it again. Just too crazy for me.

Thanks for another fabulous TR!!! I'm SO with you on avoiding crowds. Will be curious to hear what your experience is like on your trip this week. I went at this exact time three years ago and it was so nice, lines were not bad at all, especially with FP for the most popular things. Enjoy your trip!!!
