We always get a couple of snowstorms in March. By that point, the snow has just made me insane. Even when it does finally start to melt, March is just a dank, soupy, mucky mess to me. I don't see hope til April.

January is the worst.... hands down.... it's FREEZING and DARK and about 4 years long... there is nothing good about it... NOTHING. At least February is short. March means the end is in sight... January is the worst.

Honestly, you'd have to live where I live to understand. November is the month "hard winter" settles in, in earnest. It's the month where you can no longer avoid hauling out your snowboots, mitts and toque. The days get dramatically shorter and you go to work and come home in the dark. The roads get icy and everybody has to re-learn winter driving - commute times double. And as harsh as it is, you know it's only just starting - there's at least 5 more months of winter to endure.
