Okay getting ready to go to AKV Kidani from 28 June - 5 July in a Studio Savannah view and we are so excited:yay: This will be our first Trip as DVC Members and AKV is our home resort. We will be staying there next April before our Cruise in a 2Br. This time we are going just the 4 of us and have never even been to AKL. We are planning to do some Disney but we were there in April prior to a Disney Cruise so we were looking at maybe doing some other things. We will have a rental car also. What are some things that you all might recommend doing/seeing while we are there. Also any places to eat either at the parks or resort or even in the area. We are open to about anything. Want to do some relaxing by the pool after seeing the pictures online but looks like there is so much just at the Resort. Can't wait to hear some great ideas:thumbsup2

It depends on what you are into:
sports: golf, fishing, RPDE, marathon, bowling, ESPN Club, WWS/ESPN Zone, etc
shopping: DTD, area outlet malls, large scale malls
drinking: Jellyrolls, Raglan Road, monorail tour of resorts, walking tour of resorts in the Boardwalk area
movies: DTD 24 screen theater some with meals served by waiters
night clubbing: Jellyrolls, Atlantic Dance, Raglan Road, Citywalk
resort tours: monorail tour of resorts, Boardwalk around the lake tour of resorts, AKL/AKV
offsite: Gaylord Palms Resort, Citywalk, swamp tour
offsite eating: go out the resort past the guard house, turn right at the light, you go to Hwy 192, and lots of places to eat

Remember to make time for relaxing, you will be coming back, so you do not have to do everything your first trip. This takes new DVC members awhile to get the hang of if you are use to be a commando at the parks.

Oh most definitely. This will be our 8th trip to the world and 7th for our kids. We have only stayed one other time on property (last month) usually drove down and stayed off property. We have the parks pretty much nailed down. The resort and DTD is something not as familiar. Places to try as far as eating at. Then any other special things to try around.
