Hello everyone! Now that we've been back and married almost two months already (WOW time flies!) I figured it's about time I start a trip report. :)

Phew! There's the list, now I'll get cracking on details from all the leading-up-to-the-wedding events and the big day itself. Thanks for reading! :surfweb:

I'm following Carrie (aka Lurkyloo)'s format for the trip report, since her was well-organized. So, next up is vendor reviews! :)

Photography: By The Robinsons

The Robinsons (formerly known as Studio 222) were SO much fun to work with. Becka and Nate are very laid back and really made us feel all at ease. And we became good friends - we've hung out since our wedding! They made us feel very laid back at our engagement session, and at our wedding we barely noticed them (in the best of ways). They really captured the essence of our day, and everyone enjoyed working with them. I highly recommend them!

Videography: Shutter Life Productions

We loved working with Shutter Life! They had a lot of flexible packages - and for anyone who wants photo and video, they do both and you get a discount if you use them for both. They were incredibly nice, and the two small clips we've seen so far (they're currently working on our video!) were awesome (and got re-grammed on Instagram by the official Disney Weddings account! ;)).

Floral: Wedideas, Hobby Lobby, Disney

For personal floral, I DIY'd my bridesmaid bouquets using daisies and natural touch roses from Hobby Lobby:

046.jpg

For my own bouquet, I decided not to try DIY, and instead ordered from Wedideas.com. They were very nice and created a great bouquet for me, bouts for the Dads, and corsages for the Moms. All natural touch flowers:

027.jpg

For both of them, our planner and photographers handled them all day and didn't realize the bouquets were fake until I mentioned it! So if you go faux flowers, I highly recommend natural touch. :)

We had to use Disney for non-personal floral, since our venues were WP and ADH. We kept it simple, but Disney did a great job with what we wanted.

084.jpg

My big "must have" for whatever reason was rose petals lining the aisle. Don't know why! I really wanted it! It was our biggest ticket item but I loved how it looked. We requested 75% white, 25% coral petals.

001c.jpg

We also had floral and candle votives lining the aisle, at every other row. That and the rose petals were all the aisle decor we had - simple, but I don't think the WP needs much help!

141.jpg

At the altar, we just had those simple white rose arrangements.

At ADH, we used existing seating and then added a few rounds to the dance floor. Existing seating had one vintage Coke bottle per table:

008.jpg

Unfortunately I don't have a super clear shot of the big table centerpieces, but it's 3 Coke bottles, and 3 varying vintage bottles (such as pharmacy bottles, milk bottles, etc).

Our cake table:

And they re-purposed our altar arrangement at our sweetheart table:

Hair & Makeup: Patricia LeJeune

I cannot recommend her enough!! Her entire team was amazing. I had done a hair and makeup trial (and loved it), but even for my Mom and bridesmaids who didn't have trials, they were able to quickly adapt to everyone's hair & makeup requests. And that hair and makeup STAYED, holy cow! Everyone's makeup and hair was still holding up after 14+ hours (between getting ready, wedding, reception, DP...). And my hair survived a convertible ride from WP to ADH! In the photo below, you can see how my hair and makeup survived that very fun but very windy ride:

Dress Steaming: Carolyn Allen's

They were great! They delivered my dress right on time, and quickly steamed my dress and all my BM's, and my mother's dress. They all looked great, and they were super nice (even at 6 in the morning! Woof.).

Tuxedos: Men's Wearhouse

They went well also - thankfully though, our best man tried on his tux two days before the rehearsal and was able to call and have them swap out the pants. The GF will hold onto them for you, and even let you try them on and then hold them again til you need them, so it was no issue - but definitely try things on if you can prior!

Manicure: Senses Spa at GF

Cannot recommend enough!!! It's a little pricier than some salons, maybe, but so worth it. First: hand and arm massages. Second: access to the spa for the day (sauna, hot tub, heated chairs, reclining chairs, snacks...bring a bathing suit!). Third: my manicure, which was just regular polish, lasted from the day before our wedding til the end of our honeymoon...TWO WEEKS later. And our honeymoon was a fairly active cruise, lots of swimming and such! I chose a simple mint nail polish with Mickey on my ring finger. ;)

The Dress/Veil: Alfred Angelo in Altamonte Springs, alterations by Carolyn Allens

For any local brides, the Altamonte Springs consultants are SO nice! I got my dress there, but opted to have it altered at Carolyn Allen's after I got some mixed reviews on AA's alterations. Great decisions all around! Veil, belt, and dress were from AA. Carolyn Allen's did a great job sewing on the belt and altering the dress to fit me like a glove.

070.jpg

Jewelry: Etsy, Epcot

My earrings were from the Italy pavilion at Epcot, and a wonderful gift from my parents! The World Showcase stores have a lot of jewelry options.

067.jpg

My hair pins were rose gold colored pearl pins (to match my rose gold wedding band). I purchased these from "Like2Accessorize" on Etsy, and they were great!

040.jpg

My "something blue" was this bracelet that I purchased from Etsy seller "SprigJewelry". It was beautiful! Also in this photo, you can see the perfume I got the wedding from the France pavilion at Epcot - they even did free engraving with our wedding date, names, etc.

066.jpg

Shoes: Modcloth

And last but not least: SHOES. The comfiest part of all. With having a floor length dress, I was in no mood to be in heels all day when no one was really going to see my shoes anyway. I'm SO glad I chose these - I wanted some hidden spunk, and they were so ridiculously comfortable. In fact, the day before the wedding, I wore heels to the rehearsal - and got THREE blisters on my feet. The day of the wedding, I wore these shoes all day, no bandaids needed, and my blisters felt fine. Best. Shoes. Ever!!

Phew! And that wraps up vendors. Next post will be about the bachelorette party that happened a week before the wedding! Thanks for reading.

Really enjoying reading :) Thanks for the reviews! Though, sadly, your review of LeJuene makes me still a little sad that I can't use them (the dark side of having no wedding party and no parents getting ready with me).

Looking forward to the rest of the report as well. :)

Yay reviews! I love the AA in Altamonte Springs - I went there with my Orlando bridesmaid to get her dress, and they were incredibly nice and helpful. I wish Shutter Life had been available for our date! All in all everything about your day was stunning, I can't wait for more!

Following along! My fiance and I are looking at possibly doing the Atlantic Dance Hall now, so I am definitely looking forward to hearing what you thought about it!

Thank you! And yes, we were so lucky to have enough services to use them!

Aren't they great?! AA was so nice to us. And Shutter Life was amazing, I'm sorry you weren't able to book them!

We LOVED Atlantic Dance Hall!! I highly recommend it!

Kristin! I'm new to the DISboards but am SO HAPPY to have found you after listening to your podcast interview like three times. I have quoted you as well when I tell people how good Disney is at solving problems the day of the wedding that you didn't even know you had!! :) Clint and I (5-18-15) booked the Atlantic Dance Hall after listening to your podcast!! Sidenote-He's in the video game industry too! (VoiceOver coordination, direction, and QA in LA - Skyrim, FallOut New Vegas). We're really excited about the Atlantic Dance Hall, and thanks to you, I feel confident that if they spell my name without an H (which let's be honest would be the biggest travesty on my wedding day; I mean I don't even let Starbucks get it wrong), it'll be fixed before I see it! ;) ~Best, Sarah

Wedding week for us started the weekend before, with my bachelorette party! My matron of honor, Rachel, was AMAZING with my bachelorette party. AMAZING.

The theme of our wedding was very retro, and so Rachel put together a pinup themed bachelorette party!

03.jpg

Rachel surprised me first with sangria and food at Paradiso 37! At this point I still wasn't sure what was going on, I just knew we were having dinner together at Downtown Disney.

Then the first surprise came: a night at Pop Century!! Super excited! In the best wing, no less - the 1950s! (Which was super applicable with our wedding theme. ;))

02.jpg

06.jpg

Once in the room, I was given a copy of the invitations the other girls had been sent!

08.jpg

Then it was bedtime, but the next morning I woke up and Rachel gave me the itinerary for the day!

07.jpg

Turns out Rachel is freaking awesome at pinup hair and makeup! She did this all first try.

10.jpg

Then it was off to check out and meet the rest of the ladies in the Art of Animation lobby, where we were staying that night.

We started off at Animal Kingdom, where we had breakfast and checked out some attractions. Then we headed to Studios where we had lunch at Prime Time Cafe:

25.jpg

Then dined on cupcakes!! We also tried the AMAAAZING cupcakes at the Flower & Garden Festival - the maple bacon cupcakes at the American Adventure pavilion are MUST TRIES!

57.jpg

55.jpg

After that, we had dinner at the new Spice Road Table at the Morocco Pavilion. For anyone who hasn't tried it, you really should!! Our window-seat view of Illuminations was amazing:

37.jpg

After that, we all traveled over to see the dueling pianos at Jellyrolls:

38.jpg

Which was awesome! After that, we headed back to Art of Animation and stayed there for the night in a Lion King room, and everyone headed back home the next morning!

It was an amazing kickoff to our wedding week! Thanks for reading! Next entry will be about the couple days leading up to the wedding, and, of course, the rehearsal!

beautiful!!!!

Thank you!

Aww thank you! I'm glad you listened!! And you will LOVE Atlantic Dance Hall, it's such a fun and beautiful reception venue!!

So glad I found this trip report! Very helpful! Can't wait to hear more!!

Thank you! :)

That sounds like a fantastic bachelorette party! Huge kudos to your MOH & girls for pulling it together. It's clear it was a blast!

Hello! Sorry it's been a little while!

So skipping ahead a few days to the day before the day before our wedding. ;) Friday!

Thursday night, our best man Andrew flew into Orlando. We all crashed at my parents' house, since they live so close to Disney. Thursday morning we decided that all five of us (my parents, Geoff, myself, and Andrew) would go to the Grand Floridian, where Men's Wearhouse had delivered the tuxes. We figured, with a day in between, we'd go ahead and make sure that everything fit properly for Geoff, Andrew, and my Dad.

The GF was super great about it - we just went up to the front desk, and told them the situation. They had someone escort us to the holding area, we found the tuxes, and everyone tried theirs on. Geoff's and Dad's were perfect, Andrew's pants were too big. We quick called Men's Wearhouse, and they sent someone out the same day to exchange the sizes. So we grabbed lunch at Gasparilla Grill (the GF's food court).

After that, Andrew and Geoff split off - they had a hotel to check into for Geoff's bachelor party! They ended up going to see Captain America, eating a hibachi dinner (Geoff's favorite), then going to a video game bar. :D Love it!

Anyway, after they split off, my parents and I took the opportunity to scope out our wedding venue again! ;)

Then we took some photos with the castle in the background! When we did check in (which will be in the next post) we all ended up having rooms in the building on the right.

Next stop was Mom and I going to the Mandara Spa at the Swan & Dolphin to get my eyebrows tamed - er, waxed. They did an amazing job, I highly recommend it!

0001b_zpse9bf0667.jpg

Afterwards, Mom and I grabbed some ice cream at the Boardwalk.

Then it was time to go back to my parents' place and finish up some last minute wedding projects!

First up was making signs! For the 'bar', guestbook, photos, etc. Then I handwrote wedding day itineraries for all of the wedding party, Geoff, myself, parents, his parents, etc haha! SO MUCH WRITING. Bride tip: PRINT THEM. ;)

Next post will be our rehearsal day!!! :cool1:

Hello again! I'm quite envious (as I'm sure most of us are) that you can just pop by Disney to scope out your venue and visit the Grand!! I'm glad you did so you were able to get Andrew's tux sorted out right away.

I love the look of your signs!! I was actually looking at those same frames (Ikea right?) for my table numbers - they're so sleek and stylish!

Definitely perks to living nearby! :thumbsup2

And yes! IKEA! They were so cheap, I couldn't resist them! Very stylish. :)

Looking at your stuff makes me so excited for mine in three months! Congratulations, and you looked beautiful! :)
