Today is Animal Kingdom day, and nobody is in the mood for Pop Tarts or Frosted Flakes this morning, so first it's off to OPR for breakfast.
Everyone enjoyed Mickey waffles swimming in syrup, except for dad... I opted for the biscuits and gravy with sausage! If only my cardiologist had seen me then!
Another easy time at the bus stop - not even 2 minutes passed before the AK bus rolled up.
We enjoyed AK very much, although the animals were a bit sleepy during the Kilimanjaro Safari. I get that way too after I eat!
We worked our way through all the other attractions, and everyone really liked "It's Tough to be a Bug", except my 8 yr old DD got spooked 'cuz she thought the "bugs" were real on her back!
I had to take care of some 'secret' shopping, so mom took DS and DD on Kali River Rapids. I got to the viewing bridge just in time to get some GREAT shots with my video camera. One in particular of my son just cracking up... those are the moments you treasure from a vacation like this!
All in all, a much more laid-back day, and we were glad for that. We told the kids that they could take their pick of where to go for dinner, but they insisted on OPR, followed by swimming at the main pool... So we did. Gotta love that CBR!!!
We all relaxed together in the hot tub for a while, then off to the room for a peaceful night.
We could get used to this
