Picking up park tickets in Shanghai

We are less than a month away now from our trip to Shanghai Disney. We'll only have one day in the park, so we'll want to make the most of it. We are trying to decide whether to buy our park tickets now through the app, or buy them onsite once we arrive at the hotel (we are staying on property at the Toy Story Hotel). If we buy them at the hotel, will we receive paper tickets at check in, or will we need to take our passports to the park to have them printed there? If we buy our tickets online, can the hotel print them, or will we have to wait til we're in the park to get them? If possible, we'd like to have tickets in hand before we head to the park. I'm just not clear on how the process works.

Thanks!

We stayed at Shanghai Disneyland Hotel in May. We added tickets to our hotel reservation, so we were given our plastic park tickets at the hotel concierge. We also booked our advanced hotel FastPass for the following days.

We made sure to bring our passports with us each day we entered the park but we were never asked for them. I don't know if perhaps being hotel tickets (they had a Shanghai Disneyland Hotel design on them) they don't feel the need to check the passport?

That’s interesting - so it was an all-in-one park ticket/hotel key, like the old Key to the World card at WDW?

The park tickets and hotel keys were separate cards, although they both looked nearly identical except for a QR code on the back of the park ticket. Several cast members including the concierge made a point of noting that difference.
