Polynesian Pixie Dust: A Love/Hate Vacationship. An October 2017 TR *updated 2/12x3 and Complete*

I'm sure I'm not the only one with 90,000 pictures of the castle from this angle.

Me too! I have so many side-castle pictures!

We were sort of ready for our photo on the ride this time. Pirate hooks up!

:rotfl:

What face am I making here??? This is ridiculous :rotfl:

Both of your expressions together really make this photo! This is gold! :rotfl2:

Sadly, I look like something out of the Exorcist here...HOW did I manage to twist myself around like this?? Am I an owl's head? Am I possessed?

This is such an amazing ensemble!! I love it!

The rest of the night involved packing and trying to help my mom shove everything into her suitcases...it was challenging.

I feel like your mom and I are similar in this regard. I'm only bringing a carry-on with me on my trip this week, and I'm incredibly grateful that Nathan's already down there with his truck, because I know I'll buy things and have nowhere to put them. I'm already doing the sitting-on-the-suitcase thing now and I haven't even left yet.

Yes, the ACTUAL Patricia Heaton. And she follows me on there too. I felt fancy.

What!? No way! This is very cool.

Yes I think we all have castle pics from that angle mine is background on my iPhone
I love the MK ducks so cute
Your Pirates pick is perfect arrrggggg
That’s a really cool PP pick with the witches brew and apple
Your outfit is cute and your Mom looks so pretty
Love Ohana so good

Maybe I can get this thing concluded tonight!! I think it will take just two more posts...maybe three. I'm going to give it a shot, and if I can't get it all done tonight, I for sure will be able to in the morning.

Chapter Eight: So long, farewell

We didn't wake up all that early on our last day in Walt Disney World, but we didn't really sleep in either. I'm not good at sleeping in anyway!

I think we were upstairs in the lounge sometime around 8:00am?? (I really have no idea, that's a total guess!)

We had some breakfast. Oatmeal, fruit, juice and a passion fruit pastry for me:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

You may notice that is NOT the pog juice in my glass...for whatever reason, they didn't have pog juice in the morning?? It was available all the rest of the day, but not for the breakfast service. It was cranberry, apple, and orange for morning service.

After eating we went to get our bags from our room and I finally managed to take a picture of the view outside of on our patio

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

that's the quiet pool you see there.

After we got our luggage, we took it all up front to Resort Airline Checkin and got everything all taken care of, then left our carry on stuff with bell services.

Then it was off to the bus stop...we still had a few hours before the Magical Express would take us to the airport, so we decided to go do some of the things we missed on our Hollywood Studios day.

The beautiful waterfalls and ponds outside of the Polynesian:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

The bus came pretty quickly and soon we were here!!

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

We stopped for a photopass picture outside, and the sun was right in our eyes. Why my mom took off her sunglasses I have no idea!

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

They must have known we were coming because they rolled out the red carpet :rotfl:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

(it was fun going through these pictures and seeing the actor and director from the streetmosphere experience I watched on my NYE trip)

I just tried to soak in everything one last time. It's so hard being in a park and knowing you're saying goodbye for awhile.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

We saw this CM with his Mickey...I couldn't decide if it was adorable or creepy, Mickey peeking out from behind the tree. Is he a stalker? Is he a private investigator? Is he just shy? What's your story Mickey Mouse??

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

We stopped for MORE photopass

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

That's my "i'm flying on an airplane!" outfit, and I was kind of regretting it for a park outfit. It's not all that flattering. I have a dark gray sports bra on and you can see it loud and clear in a lot of our photos...which I am not sharing.

Our first stop on our Unfinished Business tour was the Frozen singalong.

Um, so, how did I not know that NO ONE ACTUALLY SINGS during this show?? They just sort of flail their arms around while a soundtrack plays. And a couple of three year olds belt out some incorrect lyrics and old people just sit there and stare at the stage. What?

First, some random townspeople come out and do a stand up set:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Then, the lady one gets all aflutter b/c this hot guy walks in (Kristoff), and the man one gets all offended by her attraction to Kristoff.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Don't worry male townsperson, Anna is coming, and Kristoff only loves her, NOT the lady townsperson! Relax!
The townspeople left the stage and music played and it got awkward, but THENNNNN

Elsa beamed down from her magical spaceship in a cloud of smoke!

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

And Anna is all, OMG, even though we live in the same house I am so excited to see you! I can't believe you're here! Even though we talked about it at breakfast this morning!

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Elsa was like, no worries Sis! Just....Let it Go.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

And she walked around waving her hands and lip synching while soap shot all over the place.

I have to say, the theater looked really cool with all the soap snow flew around with the lights and stuff. I know some people want to cover their ears and rock in a corner when Let it Go plays, but I actually still like it! It's a powerful song. Maybe it's because I don't have little kids? If anyone ever wanted to watch Frozen on repeat in our house, it was me!

It was an ok show, great for escaping extreme temps if it's a hot or cold day, or if you just want to sit down for awhile. Do they change up the commentary? It was kind of funny, but I think I was expecting like an actual show. I still don't know how I wasn't aware they didn't actually sing. I knew it wasn't like the show at the Hyperion in California Adventure, but I just expected something a little more than what it was, since everyone tends to speak pretty highly of it.

After that, we decided to keep the Frozen theme going and stopped in to see Olaf since we'd had to skip out on him our previous day at DHS

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

We had one more thing on the to do list, but along the way we saw some other friends out meeting and greeting

Chip and Dale!! You have to stop for Chip and Dale, right??

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

They were so adorable, and gave us lots of hugs and kisses. Dale even tried to eat my mom's hair flower. It was cuteness overload!

We were both so glad we took the time to wait for them! Our final destination was still on the horizon, but we did stop to look at the new Christmas merch that had just been put in the shops along Hollywood Boulevard.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

I wanted those fuzzy ears so much!!

And I love all this ceramic tableware

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

I'll finish things up in the next post!!

Chapter Eight Part Two

So where was our mystery final attraction anyway??

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Beauty and the Beast!

Yes, I was finally seeing this show. After this, I would have successfully watched all of the stage shows at DHS.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

We all know the story, so I will tell my own version based on the following photos.

The story is about a very confused girl who just walks in circles reading while people sing about what a weirdo she is.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

This red shirt guy comes out and everyone seems to just love him, but the confused girl just keeps on reading.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Then the girl gets really freaked out by some giant puppets. They chase her around, and she runs

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

The puppet candle is like, don't worry! I just want to sing you a song while the lady in the cupcake hat dances next to us!

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

The confused girl calms down for a minute until this big dog thing stomps down the stairs and just starts roaring, and roaring, and roaring

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

He is just so, so mad.

Pretty soon everyone changes into pink dresses

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

And then the dog thing disappears and the confused girl changes into a yellow dress and dances with this dude:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

and it seemed to make the puppets really excited.

The end.

I don't ever need to see this show again. I'm good.

After Beauty and the Beast ended and we escaped the theater, I asked mom if she wanted to stay for the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular or leave, and she was ready to go back to the resort. That was probably a good call because it was starting to get really crowded

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

With one last look at Hollywood Studios...

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

We said our farewell and walked to our bus back to the Polynesian.

Both of us were hungry. I asked mom if she wanted me to make a reservation for Kona Cafe, but she said she would rather have Captain Cook's. Fine with me!

Mom had the chicken caesar salad

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

and I had the pulled pork nachos again. They were even better this time around

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

We sat next to this guy:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

and then followed things up with a visit to Pineapple Lanai

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Pineapple vanilla swirl float for me. I don't have a picture of it, but I'm pretty sure I got mom the pineapple/vanilla in a cup. She was pretty sad this was her only one of the trip!

When we finished eating, mom claimed us some seats in the lobby and I went to pick up our carry on bags from bell services. We sat and charged our phones and just hung out.

On the way back from a bathroom break, I did swing into Boutiki and pick up a necklace I'd been wanting all week

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

I wear this all the time, so it was a good purchase!

I also snapped a picture of the little card we got when we visited Olaf (that we had to ask for, and the CM begrudgingly gave us)

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

A look at my phone told me our time was almost up, so we gathered our things and started to make the trip back to reality

Goodbye, tiki

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Goodbye, water feature

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Hello Tragical Depress bus stop

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

When we'd received our paperwork to get on the bus, I'd noted that the time wasn't quite three hours before departure, but more like 2 hours and 40 minutes. I got this strange feeling that this would be a problem, and that nagging feeling grew when I saw how many people were getting on the bus with us. It took FOREVER. We sat on the bus for quite awhile as everyone loaded luggage underneath and tried to find seats on the crowded bus

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Part of the reason I was anxious was because when RAC printed our plane tickets, they only printed the ones for the first flight and not our connection in Dallas. For some reason mom's boarding pass wasn't showing up correctly in my app, so I knew I'd have to print new ones at the airport.

Once we got to the airport, we had about an hour and 20 minutes before our boarding time. I went right to a kiosk to print our tickets, but it kept saying I was putting in invalid information and I needed to visit the desk. Ugh!! The airport was insanely crowded and I was starting to panic.

I got very lucky and a new person came up to staff the desk to deal with the crowd and they waved me on up, and I got our boarding passes printed.

We walked into the main part of the airport to go through security and were met with this:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

I'm not sure if you can see all the way to the top left side of the picture, but that was only HALF the line for security. It continued across and down the other side of the wall. Yes, it wrapped alllll the way around the shopping/seating area. I was freaking. out. It took over an hour to get through. After we checked in with TSA to show them our ID and boarding pass, we ended up in different lines to go through the security. I told her to go ahead and get on the plane train, and not wait for me. If worse came to worse, she'd make it and DH could drive up to get her with the spare key to my jeep. Eventually I made it through with seven minutes to spare.

We boarded the plane, made it to Dallas, transferred to our last flight, and at some point I took this:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

On our flight from Dallas to our tiny one gate airport the flight wasn't full. For the first time ever, I had no seat mate. I think that beats first class. I wish I was always the only person in my row. It was glorious!

Our pilot came on as we were landing and said a huge storm was on the way, so as we got off the plane and waited for our luggage, I was obsessively checking my weather app. We were *just* ahead of it the whole hour drive home. We walked into the house a little after midnight, and within 15 minutes the heavens opened and the rain just poured down. Thank goodness I didn't have to drive in that!

We all went to bed and the next morning DH got everyone coffees and we sent mom on her way.

Whew!! I did it!! This TR dragged on for way longer than I'd intended, but I got it all finished!

I hope you all enjoyed reading along, thanks for hanging out with me again!! I really like reliving my trips through the Trip Reports, especially to help with that yucky ol' Post Disney Depression.

And now I can finally kick it up a notch over on my New Year's Eve report!!

Thanks again, Friends. I'll see you real soon :lovestruc

You may notice that is NOT the pog juice in my glass...for whatever reason, they didn't have pog juice in the morning?? It was available all the rest of the day, but not for the breakfast service. It was cranberry, apple, and orange for morning service.

This adds insult to injury on your last day. Last day, no pog. Sad. Why wouldn't they have it for breakfast!? It's like the perfect breakfast juice!

I think this is a super cute photo! And I wish my plane outfit days looked this good, so don't even worry. I always dress like a total slob on travel days. Comfort always wins when you have to sit on a plane.

And Anna is all, OMG, even though we live in the same house I am so excited to see you! I can't believe you're here! Even though we talked about it at breakfast this morning!

And on that note, you find some really interesting stuff when you look up "puppets" and "excited."

We sat next to this guy:

Oh, he's so...inviting...?

I wear this all the time, so it was a good purchase!

I love this! So subtle and pretty!

Eventually I made it through with seven minutes to spare.

I did enjoy reading along!! Thanks for reliving your trip for our entertainment. :goodvibes

For years my favorite sunglasses were these $5 ones from Walmart. I would buy like 3 pairs at a time b/c I was scared they'd stop selling them. The last pair died this morning. I left my good ones in the house b/c I wore them inside on top of my head or something and rushed out without them, so I wore the extras to take the kids to school. When I got home, I moved my good ones to the table so I wouldn't forget them...and then forgot them anyway on the way to get groceries. So I reached for the pair already in my car and they were broken!! The arm of them was cracked and dangling with the screw barely holding things together - I have no idea how they broke in such a short time between coming home from dropping the kids off and then coming back home to get showered and dressed for shopping. I have to go see if there are more at Walmart

Oh no :sad1: I hope you find more! The ones I lost, I'm pretty sure I left them somewhere on our first Disney trip. No idea, but they weren't there when we got home and I never saw them again.

I'm sure I'm not the only one with 90,000 pictures of the castle from this angle.

I like this one though!

and decided she wanted to ride it.

We've never ridden it, we might try it this next trip.

You are very shocked to find out your mom is a witch? :rotfl:

Sadly, I look like something out of the Exorcist here...HOW did I manage to twist myself around like this?? Am I an owl's head? Am I possessed?

You do not! But this made me laugh so hard :lmao:

I am only sharing it to show off my super cool skirt and Moana shirt combo.

It is a super cool skirt!

Service here was pretty terrible, which was the case on our last visit too.

Service was pretty bad when we went too.

Yes, the ACTUAL Patricia Heaton. And she follows me on there too. I felt fancy.

So random :rotfl:

It was cranberry, apple, and orange for morning service.

Whatt?! :confused3

We had to listen to it a lot when it first came out because I worked at FYE but it was the Demi Lovato version :confused3 (which I don't prefer). Still I don't mind this song. I don't have kids who will make me watch/listen to it all the time, but I love Idina Menzel.

Do they change up the commentary? It was kind of funny, but I think I was expecting like an actual show.

I don't know but they added stuff for Christmas. We've only seen it on our first trip and most recent. I think it depends on the people they have to be really funny to carry the show. Our people were hilarious! I have a video I'm posting soon.

Yes, I was finally seeing this show. After this, I would have successfully watched all of the stage shows at DHS.

I feel better about not having seen this one yet now :rotfl:

That seems an appropriate reaction to being chased by giant puppets!

while the lady in the cupcake hat dances next to us!

I don't remember that from the movie :scratchin

I had no seat mate. I think that beats first class. I wish I was always the only person in my row. It was glorious!

I know I wish I was too. I had a row to myself when I went to Chicago but that was the only time. Flights to and from FL are always PACKED.

Glad you could squeeze in some park time before you left! I loved your commentary of the 2 stage shows :rotfl: I still haven't seen the Frozen one..part of me feels like I should but part of me has no interest lol

Cute pics with Olaf and Chip & Dale!

A dole whip before heading home- total must!

Omg I'm sorry you had such a stressful time before your flight! I would have been so nervous too! Glad it all worked out and that you missed the storm.

As always, thank YOU for sharing! Your reports are always a favorite of mine :)

You had such an awesome trip with your mom. I hope to one day take a trip with my mom however she does not share in my love for Disney so this will have to be a work in process.

I feel like they were trying to help me come down slowly from relying on CL for pog...or something?? I just decided that right now actually, as I am typing. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt :rotfl2:

I would watch a show where Mickey was a P.I.! The Great Mickey Mouse Detective? Mickey's Mousecapades? (which was an underappreciated Nintendo game on the original NES, but I loved it) CSI: Mickey? I would watch any of those things. Isn't there a movie coming out where Pikachu is a detective or something? With Ryan Reynolds in it? I could be making that up, but I feel like I read something about it.

That little girl gif is the perfect description of the Beast in this show!! Maybe we had a weird day/cast, but he just constantly roared. The real Beast did not do that much roaring!
And I am ROLLING over the puppet/excited gif and comment :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The lunchtime tiki just scared away all the people who might want to try and steal our food. At least that's my justification, lol. He was pretty polite and quiet while lurking in the bushes behind us while we ate.

I don't do statement necklaces or much jewelry at all outside of my rings and earrings that I wear everyday, but every now and then I wear something that just calls for a dainty necklace. This does the trick and brings a little Disney to my day!

Oh no :sad1: I hope you find more! The ones I lost, I'm pretty sure I left them somewhere on our first Disney trip. No idea, but they weren't there when we got home and I never saw them again.

Why are good sunglasses so hard to find? And why do we always lose the ones we love?? It's one of life's great mysteries, LOL

One good thing about the magic carpets is you can usually find an extra fast pass for it. I think if one person sits in the back and one in the front, one person can make it go up and down (front) and in the back the person can make it tip forward and back like the Triceratops in AK. I didn't realize that until we were already on it. I was just glad to mark one more thing off my "I've done it" list.

I don't know if I'd be all that shocked to find out she's a witch...:rotfl2:

the paparazzi! That's genius! I was just stuck on him being creepy!!

I think we had a dead crowd. There were so many elderly people there. (which sounds bad since I just said it was a dead crowd :scared1: ) And I don't mean like someone's spry 80 year old grandmother, these were people who didn't look like they were getting any joy out of the experience. No one in the crowd was particularly engaged in the show, or laughing at the jokes. There were a few 3 -5 year olds who were kind of getting into it, but not as many as I expected. I would give it another shot.

I did not care for the Beauty and the Beast show at all. I have zero desire to watch it again. It seemed so weird and patched together - I know they have to condense it, but it didn't flow well. It felt cheap compared to something like Festival of the Lion King or even Nemo (which even though I didn't care for the show, it LOOKED really cool). Maybe they just need a costume refresh, because I know it is beloved by many.

Haha, yes, I'd have totally been running from those giant puppets!!
I think it was in the deleted scenes :rotfl:

Everybody wants to go to Florida, no one wants to go to tiny nowhereville airports :rotfl2:

Glad you could squeeze in some park time before you left! I loved your commentary of the 2 stage shows :rotfl: I still haven't seen the Frozen one..part of me feels like I should but part of me has no interest lol

As always, thank YOU for sharing! Your reports are always a favorite of mine :)

Maybe I've watched too much Mystery Science Theater or Bad Lip Reading, LOL!! Out of all the shows, Frozen is one I would repeat and try again (We did see Little Mermaid again on the NYE trip to kill time b/c it was near the Star Wars stuff) to see if a better crowd made a difference.

I would say it was the most stressful airport experience of my life, but we managed to top it coming home in January :faint: But I have never seen anything like the line for security on this trip.

You had such an awesome trip with your mom. I hope to one day take a trip with my mom however she does not share in my love for Disney so this will have to be a work in process.

It was a great trip! I've mentioned before that we just don't spend a lot of time together, so the this was HUGE for us. And I was terrified about it. I hope you can talk your mom into going with you! There is so much to experience that if she could get the "Disney" factor out of her head, I think she'd have an amazing time!!

I would SO watch these shows! I'll have to ask Nathan about the Pikachu movie thing. Because that's absolutely the kind of thing he will definitely know about if it's a thing.

And I am ROLLING over the puppet/excited gif and comment :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Google at your own risk. :P

I don't do statement necklaces or much jewelry at all outside of my rings and earrings that I wear everyday, but every now and then I wear something that just calls for a dainty necklace. This does the trick and brings a little Disney to my day!

I love it! I'm all for finding ways to subtly add a little Disney into my wardrobe. And I'm usually the same with my jewelry (or lack thereof.)

I totally agree with you about Frozen Sing Along and Beauty and the Beast. Saw them, they are fine. Don't need to waste my time again!

Yes, the ACTUAL Patricia Heaton. And she follows me on there too. I felt fancy.

omg that's so awesome! Jodi Benson follows me and occasionally likes my photos and every time I get so excited.

That security line is literally stuff of nightmares. I'm so glad you made it okay!

I need to finish my TR :scared:

I don't know if I'd be all that shocked to find out she's a witch...:rotfl2:

:rotfl:

the paparazzi! That's genius! I was just stuck on him being creepy!!

Mickey's creepin'

I think we had a dead crowd. There were so many elderly people there. (which sounds bad since I just said it was a dead crowd :scared1: ) And I don't mean like someone's spry 80 year old grandmother, these were people who didn't look like they were getting any joy out of the experience. No one in the crowd was particularly engaged in the show, or laughing at the jokes. There were a few 3 -5 year olds who were kind of getting into it, but not as many as I expected. I would give it another shot.

So odd. We're the people funny?

I did not care for the Beauty and the Beast show at all. I have zero desire to watch it again. It seemed so weird and patched together - I know they have to condense it, but it didn't flow well. It felt cheap compared to something like Festival of the Lion King or even Nemo (which even though I didn't care for the show, it LOOKED really cool). Maybe they just need a costume refresh, because I know it is beloved by many.

I've heard a couple people say they didn't care for it recently. I feel better about never being able to get to it. We've found shows are harder to get to because if we're not in the area right when one is about to start we tend to go off and do something else and then miss it.

Haha, yes, I'd have totally been running from those giant puppets!!
I think it was in the deleted scenes :rotfl:

Belle does seem to accept the living inanimate objects very easily...:scratchin I feel like we must've missed the fear.

Everybody wants to go to Florida, no one wants to go to tiny nowhereville airports :rotfl2:

Even the ones coming back are! Like do you all have to come home the same time as us? :rotfl:

Going to the airport and everything that's involved there is so stressful!!! I would have been freaking out if I saw that security line...Glad you and your mom had such an amazing trip and you made it home safely.

Hi, I've been following along but I haven't posted my usual trip reading MO is stalker. LOL. I find it interesting to read reports from people who don't live to far from me. I'm 25 miles southeast of Fort Smith in Oklahoma. Sometimes we will go up to NWA for shopping at Christmas. Thank you for hating Frozen Sing Along. I think its the lamest thing ever and so many people absolutely love it. I do like the Beauty and the Beast show. Though I think part of that is nostalgia driven as it reminds me of my 1992 trip and first visit to that park.

I can never resist a visit to the little statues in the garden, so that's where we went next:
I forgot to go see these! Now I'm sad...

The one time I enjoy looking at the Speedway is from the People Mover, lol
Amen. I look at the line and think, why? I'd maybe try it once if it was less than say, 20 minutes... but 50+? Noooo thank youuuu. I don't have kids, though, so I might have to eat those words some day :rotfl:

Anyway, whatever, right? No real crisis, just an annoyance. My mom asked me if I wanted to go to lost and found later and I laughed b/c I imagined how many pairs of black sunglasses they probably have in a bin somewhere there. Not worth it to me.
$20 Disney sunglasses to save your sanity sounds like a good trade off to me! :rotfl2:

I'm sure I'm not the only one with 90,000 pictures of the castle from this angle.
How could anyone not take a picture every time they're on that path? :)

I'm not sure how she actually felt about the Tiki Room?? But I love it!!
I love the Tiki Room. I wish they had more Tiki Room merchandise.

I am only sharing it to show off my super cool skirt and Moana shirt combo.
I love it!

We checked in a little early for dinner, but I told mom not to get her hopes up that we'd be seated before our scheduled time
Maybe that's the trick?

And best of all, bread pudding!!
YUM. I need to get this next trip, no joke.

The beautiful waterfalls and ponds outside of the Polynesian:
Ugh, the Poly grounds are so pretty!

It's so hard being in a park and knowing you're saying goodbye for awhile.

I can't help but think, shouldn't this PP photo be in Tomorrowland? :)

Um, so, how did I not know that NO ONE ACTUALLY SINGS during this show?? They just sort of flail their arms around while a soundtrack plays. And a couple of three year olds belt out some incorrect lyrics and old people just sit there and stare at the stage. What?
I like your summary. I think it depends on your townspeople. Both times we've had Equity Ben (who is on instagram, thanks to @chunkymonkey for telling me that or I would have never known) but we liked the lady he worked with the first time better. The townspeople make the show! Which I guess makes sense, since they're the only ones out there most of the time... :rotfl:

And I love all this ceramic tableware
I would have come home with all of this if I had my way (and the room for it...)

We all know the story, so I will tell my own version based on the following photos.
:rotfl2:

I don't ever need to see this show again. I'm good.
..... same. After we watched it on our trip, I wasn't too upset that we didn't get to it when we were dragging around my in-laws.

and I had the pulled pork nachos again. They were even better this time around
Yum. Alright, we're going to the Poly to walk the grounds and have pulled pork nachos and bread pudding. It's settled. :rotfl:

I would be panicking too! They have the worst security there, I feel like. Every time we've had a bad experience, though nothing like almost missing a flight. Just being yelled at by TSA people (it's super fun when they're screaming at you to get your laptop out and put it in a tub, but there are no tubs, and you can't ask/leave because they keep yelling...), horrid lines, etc.

On our flight from Dallas to our tiny one gate airport the flight wasn't full. For the first time ever, I had no seat mate. I think that beats first class. I wish I was always the only person in my row. It was glorious!
This is seriously the best. Must have been airplane karma trying to make it up to you :)

I pulled this from your reply to someone else, but I thought this summed up my feelings as well. It was super choppy... I didn't get that feeling too much from the Little Mermaid show, or Nemo (even though I never want to see that again because of the music - not my thing... but I love the puppets). And FOTLK is just great, and I think a great example of having a show that ties into the movie without having to recap it.

I'm very sad your report is over... What a great time you guys had though! Now I need to get over to your NYE one!

I've never seen the Frozen Sing Along and now I don't have to :rotfl:
I'm glad you both got some park time in before ME
Yes flying is stressful enough without added problems
I'm glad you made it home safely

Ahhh, I lost all my quotes after accidentally throwing them into my own TR and then panicking and deleting them all :rotfl2: What I can remember - your commentary on the shows was ON POINT  :thumbsup2 Glad you made the flight... phew, I was working up a sweat just reading about it! Also, how am I not following your January TR!? :confused3 Gotta fix that... :thumbsup2 Thanks so much for sharing your trip with us! I love living vicariously through all our TRs to tide us over until our next trips... :grouphug:

Thanks for sharing your trip. I enjoyed reading about your mother-daughter trip. It looks like your mother fell in love with WDW too.

Very cool that THE Patricia Heaton commented on your posts and followed you! She is a great actress! And she must love Disney too to follow your posts, so another plus for her!

I have to agree with wdwnut61's comment. I, too have never seen the Frozen Sing Along and now that you shared what happens, I can skip it without feeling like I may have missed something.

The end of a trip is always hard, but your added stress getting to the airport and at the airport would about have done me in! So, glad you were able to catch your flight and you made it home before the storm hit!

Take care!

Thanks for sharing your trip! It seems like you and your mom had a good time. I'm glad you got to share your love of Disney with her!
