Share Your Princess Storybook Experience

The reviews for this are pretty good. I am going to have to add this to my things to do.

Mittelst:
I believe they have stopped serving lunch...maybe so they could extend the breakfast hours? If this is the case, you should be fine with the princesses still "on duty."

My family really enjoyed PSB. DW and I thought the food was better there than at CRT (except I missed the great French Toast!) I was nervous because we were stuck way back in a corner. Turns out we were right by the door where the princesses come out, so we were the first table. We had plenty of time with each Princess. I was impressed with Snow White, because she realized a little princess from the next table was missing, so she went to other tables and made sure to come back to see her. The pirincesses we saw were Snow White, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, and Sleeping Beauty. I understand they mix them up fairly often, though, so no guarantee who you'll see.

We have done CRT and PSB. While there is nothing like being in the castle and seeing cinderella, we preferred psb. Everything at crt was so horribly rushed. The princesses were personable, but they spent very little time with us. In fact, we had two princesses at our table at once. They signed our autograph book, took a group photo and left. DD was a little upset because she would have liked to have an individual picture. The character interaction at psb was much more relaxed. There was more conversation and a lot more hugging! DD6 loves to hug the princesses.:) I would still tell people to go to crt because there isn't anything like it, but psb definately has its positives too.

What are the odds that Aurora WON'T be there? I'm trying to plan something for my boss' family - and it HAS to include Aurora... any suggestions? I've already tried, and "My Disney Girl’s Perfectly Princess Tea Party" is already full.

Can we just hire Aurora for a meet and greet? :teeth:

I too like this one better than the CRT, as it's my daughter's favorite. I don;t mind Jasmine either :D As far as the feeling rushed comments, maybe I'm just more "pushy" than most folks, if that's the right term.

I find that the princesses won't walk away from your table if you are still interacting with them. Also, I've never had them refuse to take more that one photo. In fact, last time I took multiple pictures with mulitple cameras and never had a problem. As long as you keep them engaged, they will stick around and talk with you. I think it gets uncomfortable when the conversation ends. They then feel the need to move on because of the akwardness of it.

I wrongly mentioned that DDs loved Jasmine best; actually, I meant DHs! Our DD4 did love Jasmine, but no more than the others, and they were all extremely nice and not rushed at all. On the other hand, I had been forewarned to expect quite a lovely Jasmine, and indeed she was. As nice as that was, my favorite part was seeing DD's eyes light up when the princesses began their round and got closer and closer. PSB was worth the price with that reaction alone.

We have been there twice. The first time was in March, 03. We let them know when we made our PS' that we were celebrating DD's birthday. All of the princesses were very sweet and the fact that DD got to meet Mulan was great. However, it was our server Beatte, who was the nicest. She brought DD out a Magical Moment certificate and had all of the servers in the kitchen sign it and write "Happy Birthday" on it. She also gave her a troll cookie and "paints" to decorate it!

The second time we were there was in Feb, 04. DD was picked to be princess of the day. She got to wear the hat and cape and waved the wand to open the door. Jasmine came out and escorted us to our table (DH was excited too :lovestruc ). DD got another Magical Moments certificate and all of the princesses signed that for her. We have had lots of pixie dust moments there (and the food is pretty good too!). We've eaten at the castle too, but this one is our favorite. We're hoping to get back there again in December. Enjoy!

We were just there less then a month ago. 10:20am ps. Now 1st off, we lost my sister (who was with dd1) after dh, dd4 & I got off TT & it was already 10:15am by then. I guess we did not realize how BIG Epcot is & how far it is to get from TT to Norway (especially when you don't know where you are going). So I sent dh & dd4 ahead while I searched for sis (this is when I was kicking myself for not bringing the walkie talkies - sitting back at the hotel, or cell phones). Anyway, I found sis & baby who had fallen asleep. Dh had taken the stroller so sis carrying baby & I RAN all the way to Norway in 90+ degree heat! Baby did not wake up - hee hee, but boy were we sweaty! As it turned out we had to wait about 15 minutes anyway! DD4 could see the princesses (Belle, Jasmine, Mary Poppins, Snow White & Mulan - no Aurora, I was wondering if Disney was phasing her out to try to force people in to the $200 Tea Party to see her) so it was hard for her to be patient but the CM's outside kept us entertained by teaching us how to say Thank You in Norwegian (toosen tag) & we did some pin trading. Anyway, we got in & there are 2 sections of the restaurant so we were in a different section & as the other section cleared out I think they started setting up for lunch over there 1st. We got our fruit & juice/coffee etc. Just as our breakfast was coming out the princesses came to our side of the restaurant (so of course dd could not concentrate on eating!). I felt the princesses were quite rushed (especially after watching it on video which the character interaction honestly takes about 5 minutes for all 5 princesses) but part of it may have been my daughters fault. They all took pics with her & with dd1 & they all signed her autograph book but dd4 got so shy & tongue tied that she would not really say anything to them! Finally she asked Jasmine about Alladin & Jasmine talked a bit to her (yes, she was DH's fave too, he made her BEND OVER to get a pic with dd1 in the high chair so we have her cleavage all over our pics & video - hee hee). Mulan was the most hurried but I think she is the least known. Then they were gone so we could enjoy our meal!
Epcot was totally dead this time of year & it turned out to be the best day we had! We loved WS. DD4 loved doing the masks & penny presses in each country (we only made it half way). DH & DD did an impromptu dance while the mariachi band was playing in Mexico. No waiting for Maelstrom & El Rio del Tiempo! Next time I would plan for 3 days in Epcot. It was so enjoyable & relaxed. Also the characters ended up being in their countries with NO ONE there so dd just ran up & gave Snow White a huge hug in Germany! We saw Mulan in China with no one trying to get her pic or autograph. So I think we probably could have seen the characters outside of the breakfast.
So don't think your dd5 will not like Epcot. We just loved it.
