So its officially 60 days out from my epic Walt Disney World Vacation in a 2 bedroom villa at Kidani. First trip for DVC! Has anyone ever used early check in? Is it worth it?

My concerns are, two out of the 4 adults in our party have mobility special needs. Myself with a mobility permanent challenge, and my mother who is elderly with bad knees, etc. I have READ SO MUCH about the hike to the rooms and lobby and vice versa at Kidani. Because of our party size, Kidani was all they had at the time to accommodate our party size. Had I known about the
1. Hiking Issues to lobby and back again
2. Low Lighting in the Guest rooms

I might have made another choice.... but didn't have that option before.

What would be a good section for 2 adults with special needs and 2 younger kids that is not a 1 mile, or .75 mile walk?? We have a dedicated 2 bedroom Villa.

I've heard good reviews about both the Timon and the Zazu elevators. But I dont know if Standard 2 bedrooms are in that "bead". Looking for people with experience here.

Is early check in important or could help with some of these requests?

I know we wont be able to get everything we want. Really something not far from the bus stop (we are only using Disney Transportation) would be best..

Anybody have insight?

Thanks

If you don't already have them, rent a couple of ECVs for you and your mother. Check out the Disability Board for ideas on where to rent.

Thanks Deb and Bill

I will certainly need to do that. I believe mom is gonna schlep her's down to Orlando. I don't own one (I probably should) but I will be looking for a good rental recommendation. I will check out that board!

Thanks!

We had a 2 br dedicated standard view room near the Timon elevator. Not too far from the bus or elevator, but kind of a hike from the lobby.
