Vero Beach in January?

Already set up for a nice park/cruise combination vacation in January and thinking about adding a few days at Vero Beach as we've not yet been. My only other experience outside the world is Hilton Head which we enjoyed thoroughly but it was in December and it seemed that a lot of the options that were there in the summer were not there as it was kind of an "off season".

Is it worth going to Vero in January? Are there any activities that we would miss out on by going this time of year? Any feedback would be appreciated.
