As I say, that's the plan but we'll have to see how things go. :thumbsup2

That's some list!

Good luck with it and I hope you manage to tick everything off it.

That is a great plan.

I would add in 'rest' time. In my experience, when we don't give ourselves a break, we have had exhausted members who didn't enjoy the latter part of the vacation.

Thank you :)

Yep, I'm not sure where :rotfl: but I think we'll just have to adapt as necessary. Lucily with just two of us and both adults that SHOULD be easier to do x

Your most difficult day of driving will be your first (and...the other going south on 1)....hwy 1 is windy, windy, windy.

You have a lot planned, but it will be fun. We were just up that way and had a good time. Watch out for Roosevelt Elk near the Redwood State park...they are unique to that area. Also, if you are interested in Star Wars or Jurassic Park, some scenes were filmed in the park. The visitor centers are a wealth of information (I.e., where to whale watch, areas in movies, etc...). However, it can be a lot of driving once you are there!

If you are interested in animals, there is a neat rehab center near Grants Pass. Really educational tour and you are incredibly close to the animals (only a fence between you and Charlie, the cougar!). http://www.wildlifeimages.org/

Don't forget to eat Tillamook ice cream and cheese in Oregon (they make it on the coast in Oregon) and the sourdough bread bowls with clam chowder in San Francisco. No one makes them like San Francisco.

I cannot remember if you will be in San Luis Obispo on a Thursday...if so, go the the farmer's market...I have found memories from college. It is quite the event. Also, check out gum alley....ew. ;)
