What are your plans for Father's Day?

I’ll send my step dad a text and call my Dad. (sent them both cards) If DH didn’t have to work night shift I’d make him Chicken Picatta (his favorite). The kids picked out a bunch of Vegas Golden Knights stuff for him.

My DDad & FIL are deceased. DS is out of town for the weekend. I reminded him Sunday is Father's Day. He said he didn't forget & planned a flight to arrive here at 2:45 pm. I hope he has a plan or I'll be coming up with something at the last minute. Whatever we do, I'll make sure he pays. ;)

My wife and I are leaving on vacation, so my father's day will be spent driving.
My married, adult son and his wife invited us over from brunch, not realizing I would be out of town.

One son is local, the other across the country. DH & I will go to the A’s game, then take dinner to our local son & family. They have a 4 year old & a newborn, so we don’t want them to cook.

My DH manages a country club, so he will go to work at approx. 6:00 a.m. and work until about 8:00 p.m. when our huge Father's Day BBQ ends.

DD also works there and will be cocktail waitress at the pool from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

I will sleep in, hang out with the dog and do laundry. About 7:15 p.m. I will head out to DH's favorite pizza restaurant where I will buy his favorite pizza half-baked so I can bring it home, pop it in the oven and serve it to him fresh and hot!

I still need to go out tomorrow and buy a card and gift. I still don't know what I am going to get for him! You would think after 30 years and 23 Father's Days I would be better at this, but he hasn't hinted at anything lately.

My son-in-law and I are the "dads" in the family, I don't think either one of us have given it a second thought. I'd specifically not like to do anything special. Every Sunday is pretty chill around here and I'd like to keep it that way. I look forward to the hand-crafted artwork that my granddaughters will likely provide for me. :)

Spending the day with DW and my kids is the best Fathers' Day any guy could ask for. Oh...and I'll be in HS riding RnR, so that ain't half bad. :D

We are going to my hometown to visit with my parents and have hamburgers and hotdogs on the barbeque. I made my father a small present and also got him some car wash soap and a novelty toy that I think he will like. :)

Well, we have a new baby so we'll be home. I'm sure DH will take the older girls to the pool. We may grill out or something. It'll be very low key.

Time flies!!! Our oldest is starting Kindergarten this fall. It's been 5 years. WOW. We are very happy with 3 girls!

We are going to see my dad on Saturday. I hope he knows who I am. If not, he is pretty good at pretending he does. I got him a new puzzle. My DFIL died 10 years ago.

On Sunday DH has to work 7am-11pm so there will be no celebration. I did get him a gift I hope he likes. I am glad to read about all the people ordering chicken! He now manages a grocery store since he retired, so I will tell him to have the deli have extra.

I don't even know when it is. My Daddy died a number of years ago, Honey's parents live about 3 1/2 hours from us and he just calls and says happy whatever (insert mother's day, father's day, birthday). I'm divorced from my son's father and while he considers honey his stepfather since we have lived together for more than 23 years, he technically isn't. He will usually text him on Father's Day and say Happy Father's Day to my close to father.

We are leaving for Disney at 4:00am on Father’s Day. We are driving from PA and are stopping in Savannah, GA for the night. I’m hoping to make good time so that we arrive in Savannah in enough time to have a nice, sit down meal for my husband to celebrate him.

Well, we 'had' key word had dinner Sunday past. Dh made his favourite roast beef. When we were finished I wished the men 'A Happy Father's Day!' Our youngest son said: Mom it isn't Father's Day till next Sunday. I actually tried to convince him that it was Father's Day. Ddil was grinning (she's a darling girl) then, I looked at the calendar. Ds then said that's ok, we can do it again next Sunday! ;)

Yeah, it's fun... this aging thing is!!

For the record, we've already HAD Father's Day.

Not going to do any celebrating, we've got outdoor projects that need to be finished since we will be busy on weekends for pretty much the rest of the summer. I'll order take-out from one of dh's favorite restaurants for dinner.

We don't do big gifts and parties for mother's and father's day. I got a card for DH and the kids will sign it. DH will give his Dad a call. We saw him last week and gave him a gift card.
Maybe we will go out for ice cream Sunday afternoon.

Probably going to the casino to stay cool. It's going to be in the low 90's around here. NOT complaining, tho!! :sunny:

I already baked my Dad (he's 86) his favorite cake and gave it to him today.

DD is 12 and doesn't want to spend the whole day with her dad. It's a strained relationship. Current plan is to take ExHub out to breakfast. Then drive to out to meet my dad for lunch. I'm never sure if her dad should make plans with her or if it's up to her and/or me to make the plans. He is not a planner and, like I said, it's a strained relationship, so I am hoping this makes everyone happy. Truth be told, DD doesn't want to spend any time at all with her dad and just wants to spend the day with grandpa. So, like I said, I hope this makes everyone happy.
