Which buildings/rooms at POR are considered "Preferred?'

I've been reading a lot about preferred rooms at the Mod's and did not realize that they had made a category for this. So, when I booked I saw the choice between waterview and standard view and having stayed at POR before, I know that water view can mean a slight view of a pool or fountain. I picked standard view to save a few dollars. But, going back to the website I see that there's a preferred view that gives a closer room to the amenities. We like to stay in the Magnolia Mansion (for proximity reasons) and I was wondering if I should pay the extra and make the request.
