Wine and Dine...to the Finish Line! Fall 2017 TR NEW 1/25 The Last Day - THE END!

May 10th One Day Disneyland and California Adventure Mini TR - Part 2
{{{{{Club 33}}}}}

The thought of going to Club 33 was unreal! I was still pinching myself that I was there at Disneyland and then yet another unbelievable surprise on the way!
My friend had briefed me on the dress code. Though we were just going to the lounge and not the fancy dining room, and it is not formal dress or anything there, just no beach wear/flip flops, ripped clothing, and anything that looks like you basically came from the pool straight to the club, haha. I didn't really need to worry about that since I didn't bring anything beach-y anyways. Except my attitude.
:beach: :beach: :beach:

From California Adventure, I walked the 8-9 minutes back to the Fairfield Inn, rested for like 20 mins, took a nice cool shower, packed up and headed back out. Gosh it's so nice to stay within walking distance as you're not really at the mercy of other modes of transportation. Looking back I didn't actually need to come back and could have just checked out in the morning and stayed in the parks all day, but it was nice to have a shower when it was so hot, plus it was going to be a loooong day as I planned to be out until 11pm when Disneyland closed! I also checked the app again to see when I could make another fastpass and luckily I was able to make one for Hyperspace Mountain! :hyper::hyper::hyper:

I headed back to the parks after checking out and storing my bag with bell services. I would not hesitate to stay at the Fairfield Inn again, especially since it's so close and I can still earn my Marriott points. The Courtyard next door looks nicer but it's usually more expensive and it's about an extra minute and a half walk, so up to you if you want to waste that additional 90 seconds walking or not .

This poster was outside my hotel:

(BTW do you see the hidden Minnie on my shirt? I told you I travel with a lot of Disney clothing even when not expecting to be at Disney!)

I walked back to DCA because I had another FP for Radiator Springs Racers to use!

I was finally feeling a little hungry so I stopped at the Cozy Cones again to get the Bacon Mac and Cheese in a Bread Cone. I was eyeing this on my last visit in 2016 but did not get it and got the one with the green chili chicken instead. The green chili chicken one is gone from the menu (it's too bad as it was pretty tasty) but the mac and cheese one is still there!

It was delicious...so decadent and rich...and carb-y!
Apparently all I wanted to do today is eat carbs. It was definitely filling as I finished practically the whole thing. I did not eat half of the bread cone though as it got to be too much, and it definitely wasn't as tasty as the bacon mac and cheese part!

Next up was my turn on Radiator Springs Racers. I still had to wait close to 25 minutes but still beat the 110 minute standby line. Gosh I love this ride. It blows my mind!

Hahaha!

Since I did't have much time until I had to head to Disneyland, I took this opportunity to just walk around and finally get some PP pics.

I walked over to the Guardians of the Galaxy ride. I looked up and it was just so...daunting. It seems taller than ToT! Now I am NOT a free-falling type ride person. I just cannot. But I love GoTG. I was going to psych myself into going on it, but there was a 90 minute wait and...well I'll wait until we return in 2019 and I can go on with Steve, although I'm not sure if going on the ride with him will make it any better. :rotfl:

I did watch a bit of the show that Star Lord and Gamora were having in front.

And caught a few more PP pics near the Hyperion Theater.

SCORE!! Sully the popcorn bucket was sold out all morning but they finally got some in so I grabbed one. There was a line of people and he was going like hotcakes! Now I also have popcorn to snack on which is just splendid! I wish I could have got my hands on the Mike Wazowski sipper up, @Lesley Wake said they attach together as a team! It would have been so cute.

I passed by one PP Photographer near the entrance to the park and he offered to take my picture with my new best buddy.

He was a pain to carry around though, so bulky! I managed to stuff most of him in my drawstring backpack and his head stuck out though, which was funny.

OK bye DCA! Even though I'd be back tonight to watch Paint The Nite, that was all the rides I really had time for! Now, onto Disneyland!

I walked out of DA, and in two minutes I was here:

I had some time before Hyperspace so I went on Star Tours, and Buzz Lightyear. Star Tours is the same as in WDW. I saw the new Last Jedi sequence again, not sure if it's still the same for everyone.

OFF TOPIC: I thought that parts of the new movie Solo: A Star Wars Story remind me of riding Star Tours! Not like nauseating motion or anything but the speed, the intensity, and the music mainly. It was so fun! I really recommend seeing SOLO, I know a lot of people did not for different reasons, but don't listen to the rumors out there, it was a really fun movie that is mainly an origin story and kept pretty true to it's roots while allowing Han Solo to further grow as a character. I did think the first 30 minutes were a little shaky but it was smooth sailing after that.

My picture didn't come out on Buzz Lightyear, which is a bummer, I had a pose and everything. But no time to look for that, I needed to launch into Hyperspace!
Sorry no pics here. In between handling bulky Sully in my backpack and making sure he fit in the ride...it was very hard to take pictures of any kind! I also forgot the ride picture, but oh well, my bad. But the ride was as fantastic as before, although I did not get to ride alone this time.
I managed to make another FP for later that night at Indiana Jones. So excited!

Now it was time to meet my friend so we could go to Club 33!! Eeek!

My friend met me near the exit to Hyperspace so we could walk over together. I had a vague idea of where the club was but not really sure. It's in the back of where New Orleans square is. Not completely hidden but you could walk past and miss it. We sauntered up to the nice blue door that said 33 at the top (sorry was a bit too awe struck at seeing it, I didn't take a picture). My friend rang the doorbell and a host came to collect us, and soon I took my first step into in the Club...

It was just magical :cloud9:, everything looked like it was out of a fairy tale storybook, but with an elegant, adult twist.
There is a beautiful courtyard that you first see when entering, with a set of blue stairs that take you upstairs. I think many people have pictures here, so here's mine, minus my friend:

Sorry not the best picture, but just so you get the idea about how pretty the place is.

So from what I understand, the picture rules are really about being cautious and not taking pictures of other guests, private areas like the bathrooms, and overall not revealing too much. My friend was telling me how strict they can be with these rules, so I did not want to risk getting in trouble by taking pictures of everything under the sun (Club 33's sun, that is), so I definitely refrained from doing so. I also really wanted to absorb and take in in the magic on this visit. Everything is immaculately decorated - if I can describe it, it would be "elegant whimsy", with extreme attention to detail. Most of the decor and furnishings have a traditional vibe but with a Disney twist of course. Think of all the elegant Disney resorts - Grand Floridian, Grand Californian, Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside, throw in some Victoria and Albert's, a bit of Alice in Wonderland, Beast's library, Rapunzel's hair adorned with flowers, a vintage garden tea party, some Pirates, some Princesses, the great estates of the south, the Adventurers Club, basically ALL THINGS GOOD, throw in some sparkly crystal, wrap it in a solid gold bow, and you've got Club 33. :)

The lounge and dining area is upstairs, so we went up and checked in with the hosts there. Everyone was so super friendly and nothing screamed "exclusive club" at all, aside from the fact that we were actually in, the most exclusive club of all. I admired all the beautiful and expensive Club 33 merchandise set inside pristine glass cases. It included stuff like shot glasses, crystal, exclusive Dooney & Bourkes, and gorgeous jewelry with the "33" symbol prominently displayed. Some items could be purchased by members only and some were able to be purchased by guests.

As we waited, my friend offered to show me around. We saw the actual dining room which is the most beautiful dining room I've ever seen. It was so pretty, and so intricately detailed - I remember seeing shades of graceful creams and soft blues with dark wood...fresh cut flowers, polished silverware, stylish china. I thought it would be like Victoria and Albert's, and in a way the elegance is the same but the decor at V&A is more chintzy whereas this was was slightly more...sophisticated and royal are the words that comes to mind. It was really special. Then we went to the lounge area, which was just awesome. I am not sure how to describe it but the words "enchanted speakeasy with a jazz vibe" come to mind. It was bigger than I expected, with a beautiful dark wood bar area, lots of framed artwork, exposed brick walls, handsome couches and chairs in rich jewel tones and patterns, and marble-topped dining tables set around the perimeter of the room. The colors were more deep blues, greens, and purples. It was definitely geared for more casual dining and lounging than the formal dining area, but there was still that Club 33 magic in the air. We sat at one of the tables that was next to a window, and looking out I could see New Orleans square with unassuming people milling about. This is what it looks like from the top y'all!

This was the drink menu which was displayed as a hardcover book:

Me in the lounge, sort of the only "proof" that I have showing I was actually there: :p

There was a lounge food menu or you could also choose anything from the real dining room food menu. Caviar anyone?

Since we were mostly just drinking and snacking, we got some libations, a cobb salad to share, and an order of the onion rings. I opted for a drink called The Painted Lady. I can't remember what was in it but it sounded and tasted amazing - a little lighter than a mai tai with more fruit flavor.

I posted the following cryptic picture to Facebook with the caption:

"So how is your evening going?"

It was, indeed, the #ultimatepayback. :cool1:

I had a great time chatting with my friend who told me a lot about the history of the club, and the little feats of imagineering found throughout. So some of the artwork on the walls had abstract pictures of Jazz musicians, and from time to time the musicians would "disappear" from the art, and sort of become a little dancing ball of light, almost like Tinkerbell, which would dance around the back of the bar in tune with the music. It was so cool, and so subtle, and of course, very Disney! I would not have noticed this if my friend did not point it out as you'd have to be actively staring at the pictures or the bar to notice it. I was so delighted to hear stories like this as these little touches really add to the whole experience!

Our onion rings and salad arrived. They had split the salad in the kitchen for us so we were each given a plate. The portion was quite large so I'm glad we shared. It was the perfect size!

The onion rings were perfectly battered and crisp served with a delicious artisan ketchup in the cutest container:

The cobb salad was delicious and refreshing, definitely welcome after my day filled with fried foods and carbs.
There were mixed greens, grilled chicken, bacon, avocado, egg, and some shaved Parmesan tossed with a lovely vinaigrette.

I couldn't leave without a visit to the ladies room. It was amazing, like a decadent Victorian tea party! Lot's of florals, creams and gold, but it wasn't garish, really something out of the movies and with a pretty color palette. Even the paper towels had the "33" insignia on it.

We each had another drink and chit chatted and it was great!

I really have been pixie-dusted on this trip! :wizard:

It was getting closer to the time I had to leave to watch the Paint the Night parade back at DCA and meet Alison and Jenny so sadly it was time to leave the charmed quarters of Club 33 and join the rest of the world. Sigh, I will be back to being one of them common folk again. I thanked my friend profusely for sharing the magic with me.
Hopefully it can happen again in my lifetime, but regardless, I'll always have the memory of tonight. :cloud9:

I walked over to DCA and met up with @franandaj and met @rentayenta for the first time! Love my DISboard family, always someone new and cool to meet!
They were hanging out over by where Pixar Pier is, near the Little Mermaid ride. We got a nice view of the parade right in front. Thanks for staking out the spots ladies! They ate churros while I went to get a coffee. I needed something to keep me awake for the next 3 hours!

Here's us:

The temperature definitely drops like 20-30 degrees from the day so bring another layer otherwise it will get cold in the evening!
I love that though, it's so comfortable watching shows and you're not sweating profusely while on line.

I don't have pictures from the parade as I did a Facebook live video instead. I'll see if I can upload some of it as it's a looong video, and not really a great quality one at that. My best advice is to watch a good quality video on youtube. I also have better pictures of it on my previous
Disneyland TR. It's a fantastic parade with a very catchy soundtrack that everyone just sings along to. I'm so happy to have seen it again!

I have some very bad screenshots from my phone though, LOL:

After the parade we all headed out, Alison and Jenny went back to the parking garage and I was headed back to Disneyland for my last few power hours.
Thanks for meeting up with me guys! How lucky you live so close to the parks! :grouphug:

#WhenCanWeDoThisAgain?

Back in Disneyland I headed straight for my FP at Indiana Jones. I love the ride vehicle (same as Dinosaur!) but I can't stand Dinosaur and yet I love Indiana Jones, haha.

For some reason the ride was loading slowing, think there was a minor delay, so I ended up waiting closer to 25 minutes to ride and I thought it would be much shorter. That did not give me much time to do much else but I persevered after and went and made a beeline for BTMRR - I was lucky and got the front row!

Sorry this is the best picture I could get at that time:

And then I ended the night with another classic: Haunted Mansion

By then the park was closed and I had completed my marathon 15-hour solo day.

It was the most amazing day.

party:party:party:

I was exhausted though! I trudged back to the Fairfield Inn where Steve was waiting for me with the car.
On the way I managed to get even more pressed pennies for my nieces and nephew that had "Disneyland" on them. They love them!

It was an hour and 15 minutes to get home to Hemet...let's not mention the fact that Steve got pulled over (just a warning, no ticket, thank goodness)
But even though I was so tired, I could not stop talking about how amazing my day was that I didn't even sleep in the car like I thought I would, haha.

Thanks for reading about my solo Disneyland adventure! It will surely be hard to top this day.
Next up I will be back to our regular schedule with more Food and Wine reporting!! :thumbsup2

Wow, thanks for the good descriptions of Club 33, I was picturing it my mind! That was pretty special for you, glad you got to experience it.

It looks like you had a great marathon 1.5 days at Disneyland, glad it worked out. I would love to go on Radiator Springs ride everyone raves about it.

That sounds amazing! I am glad the trip and Club 33 were not wasted on someone who wouldn't appreciate it. I agree about Solo. We thought it was really fun and creative. I am with you on GOTG. I have never ridden TOT, because I hate long drops. I can barely handle the drop on Splash, but I love Song of the South. I really love GOTG though, and especially the Collector, so I might have to psych myself up to ride it in July:scared1: I know my husband and son will want to ride it.

What an amazing time you had at 33! I felt like I could see it the way you described it. You didn’t even need the pictures which were mostly forbidden!!! So awesome. Just awesome.

WOW! What a cool day. Club 33 is definitely on my bucket list. I looked into it at WDW but I just can’t justify it even with the fuzziest Disney math. But if I win the lottery.... I’m so happy for you that you got to see it. Magical!! I loved Solo too. I don’t understand all the poor reviews. :confused3 All in all, sounds like it was one of the best days ever!!!

WOW, just wow!! Love your descriptions of Club 33. It was adjective heavy and I enjoyed it all so much LOL So glad your friend was able to pixie dust you in such an incredible way!

I love your hidden Minnie shirt!

The Sully popcorn bucket is the cutest, I'm glad you were able to get one!

Love all the PP pics!

WOW! Being in Club 33 must have been so cool! I'm glad you were able to go and enjoyed your time there!

Sounds like a great end to your Disneyland day!!

What an awesome day! So - does this top your "best day ever" list? It looks amazing!!

You know, it's so hard to say, they were very different types of days, this was non-stop, fun, exhausting, plus the Club 33 can't be beat but it really was just a whirlwind day. I can definitely say it was my best day at Disneyland!
My best day ever still stands at WDW though. Nothing like a relaxing and fulfilling time at WDW while still managing to get all the rides and stuff done!

Thank you! I tried to describe it as best as I can because I don't have pictures of everything. It really was a special experience.
It definitely was a marathon. RSR is so amazing, I love it so much.

That sounds amazing! I am glad the trip and Club 33 were not wasted on someone who wouldn't appreciate it.

Oh for sure there was no better guest than me for sheer appreciation of just being there!

I agree about Solo. We thought it was really fun and creative.

We saw it twice! I enjoyed it even more the second time, picking up on dialogue and stuff I missed the first time.

It's soooo tall. I was thinking of doing the queue and then taking the chicken exit. Is that lame? :rotfl:

Thank you! I tried to use words to describe it as best I could. It really is just magical being there.

What an awesome day!!!!

Thank you! It certainly was!

I know! I just saw the price list for WDW. It seems like what I expect it to be, and a lot of the same perks as the DLR one. I wonder if it'll get sold out and there will be a massive waitlist like at DLR. I'm not sure the demand is there for WDW but you never know. I think it's also only lounges right now at WDW, and no formal dining room (yet). You know, for the price I feel like you should get free food and drink. That would make it more worth it to me, hahaha. Hypothetically I could eat and drink my way through 15k a year...:rolleyes1
But now that I've spent all my money on dues...I'd have no more money to get down there.

Thank you!! I did my best to describe the beautiful club. It certainly was a special evening and it was just awesome!

I love your hidden Minnie shirt!

Thank you! I got it from Box Lunch.

The Sully popcorn bucket is the cutest, I'm glad you were able to get one!

Me too! I really couldn't leave without at least one popcorn bucket!

WOW! Being in Club 33 must have been so cool! I'm glad you were able to go and enjoyed your time there!

Sounds like a great end to your Disneyland day!!

It was fantastic, an absolutely magical day! I couldn't believe I went to Club 33, never in my wildest dreams did I ever consider it a possibility.

That seems awesome! Does it beat your best day at WDW from earlier in the year?

Haha, that day shall remain the best day ever...this day...was the most magical day! :wizard:
They were honestly completely different type of days, but both were really special!!

FINALLY caught up! May has been an insanely busy month! I have been non-stop since I got back from my bachelorette trip a couple weeks ago!

Your solo day looks so fun! I love that you can easily hop between the parks and that most hotels are in walking distance. We have the Fairfield Inn booked for part 1 of our honeymoon in January, but that is because DL has not released 2019 dates yet grrrrr. I am so envious you got to go to Club 33. It is on my DL bucket list! Such a bummer that WOC was closed, but Paint the Night looks awesome so at least you got to see that! You are a trooper making it 15 hours! Go you!

See, I had totally missed this report too!

The standard king room is very nice although a little small, but hey, it was nice to have a king room without having an up charge like at Disney. We stayed here the last time too in 2009, before they renovated to the bright color scheme. I really like this resort just because it's Universal's version of the Poly which is my favorite WDW resort (and our home resort!)
I really like RPR! I'd like to do the Poly some day... but the Dolphin keeps luring me back to use my SPG points - it's hard to resist $30 a night  I hope it doesn't change value too much with the merger.
So when it comes to Disney I have a game plan, schedule etc, but at Universal, I have NO PLAN so we kinda just wandered around and went on rides as we saw them. That is why Express Pass was so awesome! I think the first ride we went on was Minions.
We just wandered when we went. I did almost no research... basically the extent was reading @Raeven's dining and trip reports.
I am sad to say, I was not impressed with the food. The space was awesome but the food was...lifeless and bland, it was also cold. I did enjoy the Lemon Squash drink I got though, it tasted like a fresh lemonade.
I thought Three Broomsticks was better, but I felt like we had an even better experience at Three Broomsticks in USH back in 2016. Maybe it was because we got away from family though...
I thought it was just ok, I think I liked waiting inside Rockefeller center more!
Same!
Here was my outfit for tonight. Dress is from Hot Topic. I should have worn sneakers though, as it was damp from rain in the afternoon and I kept feeling like my feet were sliding everywhere. Steve wore a Hogwarts t-shirt with all the different house insignias - an equal opportunist!
But you look great!
OMG I felt so ill after this ride. I could not go on it again. Blech.

We watched some of the singers - forgot the name for them, and got some frozen Butterbeer, which was a lot sweeter than I remember!
I love FJ! And even though I love sweet things, I can't drink a whole Butterbeer.
We did get some delicious ice cream at Florean's Fortescue though, it was free at the event and the line was long but it was worth it. I got a double scoop with Clotted Cream and Chocolate Chili. I loved the clotted cream, tasted like a cheesecake.
We didn't make it in here on our trip :sad1:
They were also giving away bottles of Gilly Water which is just regular water, so we stocked up on those to bring back to the room. :)
Those are so cheesy, and tiny even though they cost the same as a normal bottle in the other areas, but I love them. I'm a nerd!
It was a lot of fun and I'd recommend it to get a nice taste of the Harry Potter rides without the lines, although I'd pay attention to the actual ride closures since Gringotts closed early - which was kind of disappointing.
That's so weird that they closed Gringotts early.
At the Three Broomsticks I tried the Cornish Pasties, which are these meat pies, served with a salad. They weren't very good at all, I did not like the filling (had a tinge too much rosemary which I don't like) and thought it was very underwhelming. I can't remember what Steve got and I don't have a picture but it obviously wasn't memorable either!
I thought these were okay, but they were so little to only have three. Not as bad as the corn cob that came with Zack's food. I was all excited to have it because it looked grilled (I'm from NE, I get corn cravings in the fall :lmao:) But it was some weird fake charred black stuff :crazy2:
After that, we did a bunch of rides on the Hulk. Express pass rocks. We didn't notice what was different to the ride when they refurbished it but this ride is awesome. I can handle this coaster with no problem. I dunno why the Universal coasters are ok with me and some of the Disney coasters are not.
If I remember right from (half) listening to Zack when he talks about and follows every roller coaster around the world... I don't think they changed anything, the time had just come for the track to be completely replaced from age/wear.
Overall I really enjoyed Universal - it doesn't suck me in as much as Disney, but the food we had wasn't so great, which is one of the highlights usually when we're at Disney. I guess we just need to try more stuff next time. I find a lot of rides, aside from a few, are kinda one and done for us. Like the Transformers Ride is kinda like the Spidey Ride just with a different movie, and a lot of ride are the movie/simulation rides. I did really love the coasters, E.T. and Men in Black though, and I would totally go on them multiple times, as well as the Seuss Peoplemover. :) I know Orlando Informer has another event coming up in June - it definitely sounds like something I'd do again although not sure if I will be doing the June one or not.
I feel like US is more one and done too. Except the rides you listed, and Spiderman (I don't know why I like that one so much :)) But I definitely don't look forward/back on their food as fondly as at Disney - on either coast!
Ok this closet is genius, The rods light up when you open the doors. I also love the cute little nightstands.
I want those rods in my closet at home! So handy!

The nightstands are cute too. They remind me a bit of the idea to make a table out of a vintage suitcase like this:
1435600956703.jpeg

Oops that's really big!

Wow, I only made it through page one? So far to go!

Both were tasty but I like the La Vie en Rose drink better during Flower and Garden.
La Vie en Rose is like a bucket list item for me
Then we went to Canada and got the Le Cellier cheddar cheese soup, and the Filet. The soup was delicious as usual but the filet I thought was overcooked.
This soup is amazinggggggg.
We did however go meet Joy and Sadness and their line was a little long but not as long as it is usually so we waited. While we were waiting I snuck over to Baymax while Steve was on line.
Wait they have separate lines? We haven't been to meet them yet.
He really is the best DH.

Steve always tells me I hit the Jackpot.

This time I actually agreed with him!! :jumping3:
So sweet! And it's so hard when something happens and you want to help, but there's really not anything you can do... I feel so in the way for that kind of thing.
We also visited Sterling Winery. Now I don't normally like Sterling wines, but their tour is so much fun. It costs 35 bucks but you get to go on a gondola type tram ride up to the top of a mountain which is where their tasting room is. You walk around to stations and they pour you tastings. We just did the regular one but there are fancier wines you can taste too. The views were spectacular.
That's cool! Zack needs to learn to drink wine.
My outfit (wait everyone travels with Star Wars/Disney clothing, right?):
Zack's famous line is, I'll buy a new one! Like he needs an excuse for another Disney shirt.

It's soooo tall. I was thinking of doing the queue and then taking the chicken exit. Is that lame? :rotfl:

That's what I did at TOT with my husband and son:) I wanted to see the inside, and we all had fastpasses. I figure I might be able to convince myself to do GOTG, since I like the Collector so much. If it's bearable, then I might do TOT.

The thought of going to Club 33 was unreal!

It is, isn't it?

I didn't bring anything beach-y anyways. Except my attitude.

Gosh it's so nice to stay within walking distance as you're not really at the mercy of other modes of transportation.

::yes::
I stayed just a few doors down from you. I loved that.

BTW do you see the hidden Minnie on my shirt?

::yes::

It was delicious...so decadent and rich...and carb-y!

Looks pretty yummy!

I did not eat half of the bread cone though as it got to be too much, and it definitely wasn't as tasty as the bacon mac and cheese part!

The bread's just a container. IMHO.

Gosh I love this ride. It blows my mind!

::yes:: One of Disney's best!

But I love GoTG. I was going to psych myself into going on it, but there was a 90 minute wait and...well I'll wait until we return in 2019 and I can go on with Steve, although I'm not sure if going on the ride with him will make it any better. :rotfl:

Then go in and take the chicken exit. You won't regret going in and watching the pre-show.

SCORE!! Sully the popcorn bucket was sold out all morning but they finally got some in so I grabbed one.

Yay!

I managed to stuff most of him in my drawstring backpack and his head stuck out though, which was funny.

 I can just see that. Him peaking out and checking out what was going on.

My picture didn't come out on Buzz Lightyear, which is a bummer, I had a pose and everything.

Well.... poop.

It's in the back of where New Orleans square is. Not completely hidden but you could walk past and miss it.

::yes:: It's pretty subtle, isn't it.

I admired all the beautiful and expensive Club 33 merchandise set inside pristine glass cases.

Bought some of that merchandise. :)

Me in the lounge, sort of the only "proof" that I have showing I was actually there: :p

Nah. Not buying it. Obviously photoshopped.

:duck:

Man, those fingerling potatoes are pricey!

So some of the artwork on the walls had abstract pictures of Jazz musicians, and from time to time the musicians would "disappear" from the art,

::yes:: Wasn't that cool?

Whoa! Those look amazing!

I walked over to DCA and met up with @franandaj and met @rentayenta for the first time!

Aren't they great? :)

It was the most amazing day.

It certainly sounds like it! :)

let's not mention the fact that Steve got pulled over (just a warning, no ticket, thank goodness)

Whoops! But lucky just a warning and not a $$$ ticket.

That looks really good!

Since I did't have much time until I had to head to Disneyland, I took this opportunity to just walk around and finally get some PP pics.

I love Mater! Such a cute PP.

:rotfl:

I'll probably never ride it :rotfl: But I love Guardians so I just want to walk through the queue and then have Josh ride it.

Wow! You had quite a full day before we met up at the parade! Your description of Club 33 is really cute! I hope we can have some more time together when you come out for your cruise next year!

What an awesome experience! Although - I gotta say, dipping onion rings in ketchup seems very weird! Is that a thing??
