:cheer2: Leaving in 12 days for FL, and then get on Wonder 6-5-8, so looking forward to it, but this will be our first cruise, and I use a power scooter, so a bit aprehensive too. Doing lots of planning, reading, typing til my poor fingers can type no more. This is a celebration trip for us, and a long time coming. ANy tips are appreciated, and anyone else leaving on Wonder June 5th too, love to hear from you!

That is exciting! I am happy :mickeyjum to know someone else going on our cruise! My son is graduating high school, and he makes my last child to turn 18 and finish high school! I am thrilled, it has been a long road for my children and I, so I feel like celebrating too, just the fact that I made it this far with all my kids. Always wanted to take a cruise, but never had both the time and money, until now. The rest of my kids are busy with work and/or college, so it will just be the one-Ian, and myself. We're coming from AZ, first time to FL! We spend ten days in FL first, doing the usual, then go on :tink: The Wonder.

Thats very exciting. I too happen to be grad. High school this year so Im doing a back to back cruise. I depart on the four day cruise on June 1st with just my mom and then my dad is joining us for the 3 day.

Well congradualtions on your graduation! What a big and important accomplishment! I'll bet you are so happy! So what's next? Work? College? Is this your first cruise? Are you a guy or gal? On our cruise, it will be just my son and I, but I have four children. He had his last exam today, is he relieved! :jumping1: Me too! So, are on the exact same cruise, the Wonder which starts (for us) June 5, and ends June8? I know he would love to know someone going who is close in age, a teen can only take so much time with Mom or Dad! :fish:

Lets see if I can answer some of these questions:

After Graduation I plan on attending University of South Florida which is located in Tampa right across the street from Busch Gardens. I plan to get a B. A. in Acting and maybe minor in Technical theater since that is where the real money is! LOL

I have been on two seven night cruses. Both DCL. One in 2004 and then another for my 17th birthday in 2007. This will be my first time on the Wonder and I'm very excited about that.:jumping1:

I am a guy or at least time I checked LOL

We are indeed on the exact same cruise and I know a few other Dis'ers will be as well because we my family is not the only one taking a back to back cruise. Why they haven't stopped in to say hi is beyond me! :rolleyes2

Your son is so lucky, I still have three finals to go. I took my English and Spanish final today. What day does your son Graduate on? Mines on the 31st and I CAN'T WAIT!!!! Altho I will admit I am far more excited to go on my cruise. LOL

I'm interested to see how this cruise will go because it is the first time I will be taking part in the adult activities altho I might try to get into the teen club as well since I'm so used to it.

As for my count down, if you click on it, it will take you to a web site that will allow you to build your own. Just follow the directions and then it will give you three separate codes. You want to copy the first code! Then here on the Dis board at the very top, right under the thread info, there is a red bar and one of the items on it is "user CP." Click on that and it will take you to an area where you can edit your information. On the side menu click "Edit Signature." It should be your first option. That will open up a screen that looks a lot like the one you post regular post in. Paste the code for you banner and then click "save signature" and then you should have your very own count down clock! Hope that helps! :wave2:

What do you enjoy most about the cruises that makes you want to do another? Ian graduated last night, I was so proud! I don't often see him dressed up with a fresh hair cut, in a suit and tie, let alone cap and gown! We're both glad it is over! Have you heard much about things to do on the islands? we aren't sure what is best. We leave in 2 days, we'll do some other things before our land and sea.

Do you use the meal plans offered? I wonder if it is worth it-so far I haven't signed up for them as I just heard about them intul a couple days ago.

What do you like to do-other then cruises? Ian is into video games, WOW is one he really likes. Hope school ends well for you!

Oh, what does it mean when they put to the left of our messages "Earing their ears"?

How are the meal plans at Disney? I leave for Disney's resprt then Wonder in 9 days. My travel agent thought the resturaunts would all be full with reservations by now. Just myself and my 18 y/o son are going.

I feel the meal plan is ok but I have never used it personally. Based on what I do know I would say that is used to be a better deal but if you can get it for free take it.

To answer some of your other questions, I actually have never been on any other cruise but Disney. To be fair though, I am a Disney kid. I grew up on Disney and live only 15 min away from Disney World so I go a lot.

At Nassau there are lots of excursions but this is my first time going so I don't know to much about it. I know the main draw on Nassau is the Atlantis Hotel and Casino. I think there is a thread that is on the main DCL forum page that discusses things you could do.
On Castaway Cay there is lots to do. There is snorkeling, biking, volleyball, harebradeing, you could rent boats and of course some good food! Its really fun and I really enjoy it. There is a family beach, a teen beach and a Adult only beach. There is also a post office that you could send a postcard from.

I have a friend who likes to play WOW. He talks about it all the time LOL. I still don't fully understand it. I really don't have many video games but when I get a chance I really enjoy playing on my Xbox or PS2. My favorite game franchise is Kingdom Hearts. Love those games. I also really enjoy Guitar Hero. That I play all the time.

Ian is so lucky he is done. LOL I don't graduate until Saturday at 7pm. I have to sit through my rehearsal on Thursday and I'm not looking forward to it. LOL
